We had some trouble deciding what to have, as a lot of things on the menu sounded good, but it was unfortunately not to be. I ordered the breakfast garbage plate, which had hash browns, sausage gravy and two eggs (cooked medium). I added the house made hot sausage for $5.65 and got 1 approximately 4 oz sausage. The hash browns were fine, nothing special, and the sausage gravy was woefully lacking in flavor except for salt. The eggs were a little overcooked, but that's my fault...or the fault of breakfast cooks all over the country who don't do over easy eggs properly. I order over medium cuz I hate when the white isn't cooked. These were definitely cooked. The sausage was not good. It was sweet on the palate...like way sweet. It didn't taste much of sausage flavor, and there was a hit of heat on the finish. My sister had the sausage gravy & biscuit and she said the same thing about the gravy. I wish it was a better result-I'd love to give business to a local place that had good food.

The decided favorite though was the deep fried quail, with its perfect outer crust and yummy sauce.

There is a "packed date" on the container when you get your food. (Can't say if this is true for the pretzel though, but definitely applies to the other 3 snack items). Would definitely not recommend this cafe to anyone unless they're absolutely starving. Eat before/after you visit here. Turkey BLT wrap 5/10 Mayo comes on the side so it doesn't get soggy. Smart. Wrap was very skimpy. There was maybe 1 or 2 slices of lunch meat turkey in it, and a slice of bacon. See photo. Not worth the price at all. Pasta salad 4/10 SUPER DRY. Was like eating plain wet noodles. Probably because it sat overnight. Needs more dressing for sure. The combination of ingredients were good together though. See photo. Iced latte with caramel 5/10 Couldn't even taste the caramel. Plenty of milk, but it was just poured in.. Not even frothed like a latte usually is. It was just like drinking a plain flavorless iced coffee. Sugar is separate to add yourself, which I did not know until half of my drink was gone. Suggestions for improvement: Fresh is best! Prepare and cook meal items to order/day of.

This Denny's was clean and organized and had the most lovely staff. I ordered a slam, consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries and two delectable fluffy pancakes. It was $9.99! Food arrived quickly and hot. At the check out, we saved 15% with our AARP card (I think first time we have ever used this card). Great staff, real and hot food. This is just a personal preference, but I much prefer traditional fried eggs to the spongy, egg patty that was used on my sandwich. This was especially disappointing because fresh eggs are everywhere in this region. If not for the egg issue, this sandwich would have been perfect. Not too heavy, incredibly savory, and hit the spot without going overboard. My coffee was just OK. Nothing crazy, a little too much of synthetic sweetness in the syrup. And they asked if I wanted it in a mug or to-go cup: I said mug, as you can see this is not what they provided me. A little disappointed by that as well. Overall, I'd maybe go back but I'd ask if they could fry my egg and for half sweet lattes. And I'd confirm that my coffee came in a mug.
