THIS RESTAURANT DOES NOT LIKE BLACK PEOPLE!!! 6 of us went here this morning 2/9/2026. We walked in and were met with stares from EVERYONE. The restaurant was NOT crowded. The waitress looked at our group with disgust and said, "we don't have seating for 6 people together." We just looked at each other with confusion. A Caucasian couple got up, said we can have their table and we pushed 2 tables together. There were plenty of empty tables in the restaurant to make accommodate a party of 6. The stares continued, so we left. The Green Apple clearly did not want African Americans in their establishment. DO NOT GO HERE! They don't deserve our black dollars! read more

Went here for the first time yesterday and it was not good across the board. Service was borderline unfriendly (and slow, but that wouldn't have been an issue if anything else had been good.) Egg scramble was totally gross. It was supposed to have home fries, meat and veggies. Way to heavy on the home fries (which were soggy and flavorless), almost no meat and the veggies included soggy carrots and overcooked cauliflower. Who on earth puts carrots and cauliflower in eggs?? Felt like they were trying to get rid of produce - or like the cooks don't eat that dish so they have no idea why this is gross. "Boston Creme French Toast" came with Hershey's syrup on top and the creme filling was the CHEAPEST possible bagged creme filling and was sickly sweet and tasted of chemicals. The server assured me it was great ("everything on the menu is great") when I ordered it. I'm guessing if you order very basic things the food is fine (fried eggs, bacon, toast, that sort of thing.) I won't be coming back thought. Too bad because the Ambiance was nice and location is good. read more

Definitely great for breakfast! The inside is not huge. Yet, they manage to accommodate our party of 10 with two tables. For safety purposes they did have clear dividers between the tables. The decor reminded me of a farmhouse. Staff was very nice. Our waitress was extremely patient with everyone's confusion on what to order as they took their time to decide. She checked in on us often and most importantly brought everyone's food out in a timely manner. The food itself tasted all homemade and fresh. Kids enjoyed their pancakes made to look like Mickey Mouse. I recommend the Traditional Eggs Benedict. read more

Great breakfast on our road trip. Had biscuits and gravy and corned beef hash breakfast. Both were tasty and great examples of great breakfast fare. Service was great. May be a little out of the way but worth the detour. read more

Very nice diner, clean cute. Food was Amazing! I had the Broiled cajun haddock with fries and coleslaw, Omg was so good ate it all up! He had a Jalapeno burger with fries said was very good, looked yummy. Service was great til we finished and she wasn't no where to be seen. Another lady finished check to cash us out. It would have been 5 star, but the waitress leaving us with no check took that 5th star. Still tipped and enjoyed our 1st time and look forward to trying more on menu. Food is great, wonderful, awesome! Cooks are great! The place is decent sized, good character to it where it's located! But the service or attitude of some of the workers are not so welcoming. They are very rude, and act like they hate where they work. Wether you are in person or trying to order over the phone, and if you do order over the phone, they take forever to get back to you and keep you on hold or just hang up on you overall. This has been on multiple occasions. Wouldn't go back if the food wasn't so good. Just wish they had a better attitude towards customers and there job itself! read more

We got there just as it opened with only one wait staff who called in help. There were a lot of locals and regulars. We ordered the eggs Benedict. It was great and filling. Coffee was great too. read more

We stumbled into opening the diner at 8 AM and the place immediately filled in. Coffee refills were frequent and the food was fantastic and quickly prepared. Both the Irish Benedict with corned beef and country fried steak with eggs and Italian toast quickly disappeared, and I may have had more than my share. I'm neither ashamed, nor sorry. read more

Stumbled upon the The Green Apple during an early morning visit to our favorite farm (Jersey Bell Farm- fresh milk, cheese, maple syrup and honey) and amazing food store (Sauders Store) in the Waterloo area. Rather than driving back to Rochester hungry, we stopped for breakfast. So very glad to have found this wonderful little gem on Main Street. Their biscuits and gravy are some of the best we have ever had north of Mason/Dixon line. Their various omelets and other breakfast treats are fantastic. The place is charmingly simply in decor and the staff was REALLY nice and efficient. Most impressive? We have visited three times, with about a month between visits, and the amazing waitstaff remembered us! Made us feel very welcome. Did I mention that the food is great? If you find yourself in the Waterloo area some morning, stop in and have a fantastic breakfast. If you live in Rochester or Syracus, it is worth getting up early and making a trip over for breakfast. When done there are plenty of sites to visit. (Memorial Day museum and Women's National History Center is a short drive away) read more

I went to the green apple today and it wasn't as busy when my girlfriend and I got there. Our waitress did not give us her undivided attention. We aren't greeting when arrive and menus were tossed to us. I am one who doesn't eat pork, so I asked if there were any substitutions which there wasn't, but it was said rudely. When I asked the waitress what she suggested she wasn't very helpful. Overall the service was trash, the food was mediocre, and service wasn't great. read more

My husband and I stopped by for Sunday brunch while staying in Geneva for a weekend of wine tasting. My husband wanted a BLT but when he ordered the waitress let us know that we couldn't order lunch on Sundays. I asked if the fruit on the waffles was fresh and the answer was frozen so I opted for a waffle with chocolate chips and whipped cream. My husband ordered one of the daily specials, the southwestern chicken omelette, with home fries and wheat toast. We waited a long time to order and a long time for our food. Coffee refills were frequent and the coffee was decent and hot. I really enjoyed my waffle and was pleased that they had sugar free syrup available. My husband's eggs were undercooked. I think we'll probably return. Prices were good and it was a classic diner experience + our daughters would get a kick out of the Mickey Mouse pancakes/unicorn pancakes (so much whipped cream and sprinkles!). read more

Husband and I were heading out to hike at Montezuma NWR and wanted to get an early start. We found this little cafe that was supposed to open at 7 am and was practically the only place open to eat on Mondays in the area. We tried opening the door at 7:05 am, would not budge. Could see someone at a counter inside, so we knew they were opening maybe(?). Hours stated they would be opening. Made second attempt to try the door at almost quarter after seven and still the place remained closed. Sadly we didn't want to wait any longer and had to give a national chain our business down the road at Dunkin Donuts. If your company states that you're open at a certain time, please be timely in opening up. The Green Apple lost some business today. read more

I have lived in the Finger Lakes area for over 35 years and being a fishing guide for 25 of those years I hit lot of small restaurants on Rt 5 and 20. The Green Apple has THE BEST BREGERS I HAVE EVER HAD traveling this roadway. They are made with fresh burger onsite. No frozen and thawed deals here . They offer a variety of options and and having tried them all I can say with out hesitation they are fantastic. Service is fast, friendly and you may even have the owner take your order. Many side dishes are available and I like their side salad as they are always made with fresh crisp lettuce . if your looking to try out a new place to have a great burger dont hesitate to drop by the Green Apple and give them a shot at proving they have killer burgers. It's my guess you will discover as I and more and more folks have that you won't find a better burger for a better price any where else . Closed on Wednesdays read more

We stopped in for a quick bite while visiting from San Diego. The homemade New England clam chowder was outstanding. We had the specials of the day, open faced prime rib sandwich and a Philly cheese steak. Both were good and the service was friendly and attentive.
