We had a lovely brunch here. My friend and I shared a sweet and a savoury dish. We got the shrimp and grits, which were very tasty. We both thought that the sausage tasted even better than the shrimp. There was a good amount of shrimp in it, which we appreciated. It also came with two eggs. The tabasco sauce on the table looked very watery and suspicious, so I asked if they had other hot sauce options. The server offered a house-made hot sauce in a little cup, and it was really good to me. It was barely spicy though. For our sweet dish, we got the seasonal caramel apple waffle. This was a really solid waffle with a very sweet flavour. It came with cinnamon whipped cream, which tastes very strange and off-putting to me, but my friend liked it. I loved how warm the apples were. We finished all the food, and we were left feeling very full. It ended up being around $45 total. Oh My Goodness! I will not be able to say enough wonderful things about this location. The food, the service and overall accessibility, deserve a 20 out 10! I must add, due to my current medical issues, I have to be careful with food preparation. Our server and kitchen staff made it so I could enjoy a meal adjusted to my needs. It really doesn't take much to adjust my meals, but where can you go and have such caring staff in a busy restaurant? With that said, feel free to order absolutely anything off of the menu. My boyfriend and I have been to the one in belton, so we decided to try the temple location since it's closer. Honestly it's just as nice as the belton location. The music and decor is the same vibe, and the up-keep of the restaurant is great. The (only) waiter/server was decently friendly, nothing to complain about. And our food was delicious. We waited 1.5 hours for a veggie omelet and a glass of water. That's not a typo. Ninety minutes. For eggs and vegetables. I think the chickens were still laying them while the zucchini was out back being grown from seed. The staff? Completely unbothered, as if I was the one being unreasonable for wanting food at a restaurant. When we politely asked if they could just fix the issue instead of inventing new excuses, the manager tossed us a 10% discount like a band-aid on a bullet wound. I didn't want a coupon -- I wanted an omelet that didn't take the same amount of time as a Marvel movie. The place was dirty, like "should we get a tetanus shot after this?" dirty. Then I ordered an avocado toast with a side of potatoes. The food was cold and I notified the wait staff. She had no emotion just offered to bring new potatoes. The replacement potatoes were also cold and she said the restaurant does not have a microwave. The wait staff were not very friendly and nobody checked on the table only to come and give us the ticket to pay. We won't be going to this location again. After approximately 45 minutes 1 of 3 meals was served, server mentioned toast was still need for 1st meal. Another server brought toast within 5 minutes. After about 15 minutes original server came over and let us know the 1st meal received was for another table. If so, the other table had to wait for the meal ordered... We got our server's attention and let her know we needed to leave, server said our other 2 meals were coming out next. We wait well over an hour for our food come out. The manager even came out to our table and told us it would be another 20-25 mins after the hour but can give us a 20% discount for the wait. People seated after us had already received and finish their meals by this point. When the food came out it was cold. Then when we went to pay they said because we are separate checks they can only do 10%. We ended up just paying on one check for the discount. We had to get him fast food once we left as he was still starving. At that point the breakfast plates were ok. Nothing special unfortunately. Then we hastily asked for the check as we had been sitting in hard metal chairs for an hour and a half at this point. Oh my...they charge for creamer when you order coffee! What!!! I've never had that happen. And the waitress asked us if we wanted fruit or potato's- nothing on the menu or verbally from her indicated it was extra...well it is.
