Waterbean is spacious, they have indoor seating as well as covered outdoor seating. I was waited on immediately and asked the barista for his suggestion. He suggested the Bro-stachio Latte (brown sugar & pistachio). I received it within minutes. It was absolutely delicious. Every sip made me happy. Ordered a caramel frappé and a coffee frappé--both were pretty bitter, mostly ice with not enough sugar or cream. The rice cake was a pleasant surprise--sweet enough and enjoyable. The espresso brownie was just okay. Dogs aren't allowed inside, not even service dogs, which was disappointing, though they did offer a pup cup (whipped cream). We sat outside. Not really worth the hype. Decor and seating arrangements look nice and comfortable as there were a lot of couches. There was also a lot of outdoor seating as well. The baristas were very nice as well. Overall there was a lot on the menu and I was exited. I tried their current drink special, the Volcano. It was a pretty drink, worthy of a picture and the overall taste was pretty good because of the condensed milk. I wanted to try the grill cheese because they didn't have the ingredients for the Banh Mii, which is understandable but I really wish I tried something else. The grill cheese was so bad. The bread was SO HARD with hardly any cheese. I was only able to eat half of a slice and had to throw the rest away. read more

My husband ordered a cappuccino and I a vanilla cold brew. Ambiance is awesome, I loved the fabric on the chairs. Very comfortable. Quiet whereas some Starbucks can be quite loud while working... Clean, friendly staff... I would visit again. Cappuccino was "good" says my husband but he is not a coffee "lover." Vanilla cold brew was fine, I prefer Monin French Vanilla Syrup and this location offers a different brand however, good. I grew up in the Matthews area of Charlotte and recently moved up here to the Lake Norman area in Cornelius. I've frequented dozens and dozens of coffee houses all across Charlotte ... but, this Huntersville Waterbean location, along with the Starbucks in Dilworth, offer the two best cafes to hang out and get work done in the entire Charlotte metro area, in my opinion. I really hope this Huntersville Waterbean considers staying open one more hour and instead closing at 10p instead of 9p. I have been to this location a few times and have enjoyed each visit! This is a great location to meet up with friends, have a meeting, or get some work done. I ordered an iced oat milk latte (plus for have milk alternatives!!) and it was good but a bit watered down. Not sure if it was the choice in oat milk brand or the coffee. Personally, I enjoy strong coffee. Also, I had a chocolate chip mochi and that was super good! :) I have not had other pastries or food but will consider it on my next visit! read more

I love that they have many non diary choices so, I had the caramel frappuccino with macadamia nut milk and it was ok. It's a nice location with room to socially distance if you're eating in. I went to Waterbean for the first time today. I placed a to-go order, so I can't comment too much on the vibe but it was very spacious and seemed like a good place to hang out. What I was shocked at was the price. I ordered a large latte with an added syrup. The total cost was $7.03 Having moved to the area recently from Los Angeles, I've never paid that much for a latte in California, let alone in suburban Charlotte...the syrup itself was $1 extra. And it was a very mediocre latte, rather watery. If I needed a good place to work/study, I might consider visiting again, but I wouldn't come here regularly due to the high prices. read more

It's Yelp restaurant week so I decided to venture out and try a new breakfast spot. Well Waterbean Coffee is new to me but everyone else on the planet knows about this quaint eclectic little spot! At 11:30 in the morning almost every table on the place was occupied with business minded folks in meetings and on their laptops taking advantage of the high speed internet and strong delicious coffee (watch out Starbucks this place gives you a run for the buck)! I wanted something tasty to go along with my coffee so I ordered a turkey and cheese croissant and it was amazing! The croissant was buttery, light and flakey with the perfect balance of turkey and provolone cheese and a light dressing to compliment it! The staff at Waterbean are friendly and very accommodating! This visit was just OK. The SO and I came in to get some coffee and macarons. Waterbean is cute and spacious inside. Not much to look at outside. There's plenty of seating inside and out, and they even have a fireplace and a piano. Ample parking available. After seeing macaron pictures on their Yelp page, we were very excited to indulge. We arrived after 2pm, parked, and went straight to the register as there was no line. Their menu offers baked treats, sandwiches (including banh mi, what!), snacks, wine, beer, and tea in addition to coffee. I glanced at the macaron selection and list of flavors and made my decision. I wanted to try pistachio, salted caramel, coffee, and cookies and cream, but guess what...? They were out of all of that! So disappointing. The lady at the counter did apologize and said that they needed to update their list of flavors. So, I settled for chocolate coconut, cupcake, and creme brulee. I think they were over $2 a piece. We also ordered two iced lattes with almond milk at $3.75 each. One with salted caramel flavor and one with hazelnut. The lady at the counter handed me the macarons on a plate and the SO and I sat down on the couch by the fireplace. A few minutes later, our coffee was ready at the counter to pick up. The coffee was bold and delicious. I tried to savor every sip. The macarons, on the otherhand, were blah. They were pretty, but fell short in flavor. They were tiny, too compared to what I'm used to eating in Atlanta. Overall, we will return for the coffee and possibly the sandwiches. Waterbean is a cute little coffee shop in Huntersville perched right beside a coin fountain. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is quite spacious with plenty of seating at tables, or lounging on couches, or just a private niche. We went on a Friday night and it was relatively quiet inside. Points awarded for all of the above. I felt totally comfortable there. The drinks we got, however, left a LOT to be desired. We had 2 hot chocolates (one plain, one with mint flavoring) and one Chai Latte. All 3 drinks were so watery and lacked flavor. I thought the candy covered coffee bean on top of our drinks was a cute touch, but I doubt I'd go back unless meeting friends there (for the atmosphere). read more

For the first time, I went to Huntersville WB to enjoy coffee and get some work done on my Laptop. I was kind of taken back by how much work this location needs to have done. The two black couches were torn, the floors were really dirty, the glass tables and windows all needed to be cleaned...they were disgusting. The tables and chairs are old and should be replaced. The tables have the metal base and stem, all completely dirty. I was sitting by the door, and it wasn't shutting right every time someone entered or exited. This place is kind of a mess. Some money should be spent to make this place more appealing.Cleaning the floors and all glass fixtures would help as well. Not a cozy work cafe I would return to. read more

I ordered a mocha frappuccino that pretty much didn't taste like anything. It wasn't so bad I couldn't drink it but I wouldn't come back or have a craving for it. My fiancé ordered an iced coffee with salted caramel and she had a few sips and didn't want anymore. We read somewhere that waterbean was the second best coffee in Charlotte so we had high hopes. 4 stars for atmosphere minus 1 star for the water stains on the ceiling. I would give the coffee two stars but I did drink mine so there's that. For a true great coffee experience please make the drive to Cabella's Coffee in Denver. It's the best. read more

There are french macarons, pastries, sandwiches "sizzlewich", coffee, mochi ice cream, wine... and most importantly, great service! They even have banh mi and milk tea... that's amazing.The environment is comfy, chill and you definitely feel relaxed. This is the perfect spot for studying and I'll definitely come back and try other specialities. I had the strawberry white milk tea and it was just right, not too sweet, not too bland. Stopped by for a quick coffee and some chill time with the wifey this eve... While I don't come here often, I always love the vibe here. I don't come enough to rant and rave about the staff but they always seem pretty chill and helpful. Today I got a little crazy... black coffee with TWO pumps of sugar free caramel flavor. Woohoo! Their coffee is always pretty legit and gives me the feels in the best way. I'd honestly come here more but I need some place walkable to my home. I did make a poor choice I'm adding the caramel flavoring. Falvorings #1 taste fake and #2 sugar free flavorings taste extra fake. My wife's salted caramel latte did taste pretty good though. I also got a vanilla macaroon from the pretty sweets case... I was a little underwhelmed by it though. I am no macaroon expert but it was just a little too chewy. Not sure if that explains anything...so here are my details... I'm a tea lover...and they have a great variety of green, white and black teas..the favor profiles haven't disappointed. Once you order, they bring the hot beverage to you...they allow the tea to steep...very important!! I've also tried a few of their small bites...again haven't been disappointed. You can tell they are made in-house and with care, would like to see other options outside of the norm. Their was a few times, they had live music. The guitarist played up the energy that was there that night. The love background music helped focus me into my work. The inside was so cold even in October! I came on a Tuesday morning at 10am, but most of the seats were still full and with all the conversation going on, it felt very loud. Thank goodness for the outdoor seating facing the fountain and the pond. I may come back to sit outside, not inside though. Maybe in winter months when they turn up the heat instead of the cooling function, I'll try again. In general, I like more of a artsy, industrial and west coast feeling when it comes to coffee shop, but this place is more of a cozy breakfast feel, nothing wrong, just not what I'm looking for in a coffee shop. Such an awesome spot. I'm in town from Charleston and decided to check this plane out. It was a fantastic decision. They have many specialty brews that you don't find at too many places. I got an aeropress and croissant that I enjoyed while I talked with Justin. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly in explaining the process they go through for different brews. Good coffee, great pastries and staff was decent. My husband and I both had their famous iced coffee which was pretty good. I also got a coffee macaroon which was delicious, perfectly smooth in the middle. STRAWBERRY CHOCO CHIP MUFFIN! Need to try this, my husband did and they warmed it up=amazing!
