    Nitro Latte
    Dave R.

We walked here from Birkdale village, which was very quick. This a great space with lots of seating for large groups and individuals wanting to do some work. Free wifi! I got a nitro latte which was good, and tasted how I wanted it to. Great place!

Tried the caramel cooler and it was way too sweet for me. I think it's even sweeter than the one at Starbucks or McDonald's. I probably wont get it again and I'll just stick with the espresso based drinks

Fresh Egg - Where Diets Go to Die (Happily)…read more Our group of 4 1/2 (yes, somebody only ate half their plate because self-control showed up late ) walked into Fresh Egg thinking we were just grabbing breakfast... and walked out needing a nap and a moment of silence. Let's talk FOOD. That omelet? Fluffy like it trained at egg boot camp. Stuffed with sausage, ham, bacon, cheese basically the Avengers of breakfast. The home fries were crispy golden cubes of perfection. Not soggy. Not greasy. Just straight-up breakfast excellence. The ham slices were thick and flavorful like they meant business. That biscuit sandwich? Soft, buttery, and holding everything together like a breakfast superhero. And those cheesy grits? Creamy enough to make you emotional. Add melted cheddar and it's basically Southern comfort in a bowl. Portions? Generous. Flavor? Elite. Coffee? Flowing like we were at a caffeine convention. Now let's talk about Jonathan Jonathan delivered AMAZING service. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced, and on top of everything like a breakfast conductor running a delicious orchestra. Drinks stayed filled, food came out hot, and he made sure our whole crew felt taken care of. That kind of service turns a good meal into a great experience. The vibe inside? Busy, lively, happy breakfast energy everywhere. You can tell this is a spot people return to again and again. Final verdict: We came hungry. We left full. We left smiling. And yes... we'll be back. Fresh Egg you cracked the code.

This spot delivers exactly what it promises, making it a reliable choice for the area. To start, the coffee was great--hot, fresh, and strong. For my main dish, I opted for a Western omelette. It was perfectly fine, a solid choice, if not spectacular. My husband had the egg, bacon, cheese breakfast sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only reason I'm docking a star is for the side of corn muffins I ordered. They were, unfortunately, a complete letdown. They were hard, dry, and truly tasted like small stones. Even piling on the soft, fresh butter couldn't save them. However, the excellent service and the positive experience with the main dishes and coffee easily outweigh one bad side item. We had a good meal overall, and I would definitely go back again (and just skip the corn muffins next time!).

There are many great options to choose from especially if you want to go the healthy route. There are pancakes, waffles, etc on the menu too. The portions are good since you get sides depending on your meal choice. The place has a nice farmhouse cafe vibe with wood tables and spacing is good. Now the bad: There were mugs already on the table which I do not care for, because I'm not sure they take them away for each table. I wanted hot tea, but when I looked in, it was dirty. The other mug was clean so that was the one I used. I got my hot water, tea bags, cream and honey packets to make my tea, but I don't get a spoon. I'm not sure why they don't give teaspoons, but when I asked for a spoon, I got a large soup spoon. Not sure about this. We placed our orders and everything came out fine, except when I started eating my bowl of fruit side, all the grapes were brown on top. Seems like something noticeable that is not as fresh to serve to a customer. Disappointed with this too. Another thing to mention, we had to ask for water refills. Then when someone brought over a refill they brought a carafe. Why not start out with the carafe? Server waits until end of meal to bring it, then brings another glass afterwards with water too. A lot of these issues seem to be training and management of the restaurant. I have been to other locations with better service. So, overall, food was good. I got the frittata and my daughter got the braised beef breakfast tacos. But, if there weren't so many silly issues, I think I could rate this location higher. 3 stars

Our server was also really nice, but it did take us a while to refill our drinks. We were pretty much done eating when he came back around. The food was good, but for what you're paying you don't get a lot of food. I expect bigger portions from Americanized Italian restaurants. I loved the flavor of the white truffle garlic bread but it was a little too hard like it was overcooked. The meatballs were pretty good and had a nice ricotta on it. I absolutely loved the seared scallops though. It paired well with the butternut squash risotto, but then fish definitely could've used more risotto.

It's not ideal if you're on a schedule. We gave it another try Saturday night. There was a 45-minute wait (as expected), so we grabbed drinks and walked through Birkdale's social district. Once seated, it took 25-30 minutes for drinks and over an hour for food. Our server was attentive, so it must have been the kitchen. We loved the food and vibe, but after two slow experiences, we likely won't return. If they speed things up, this could easily be a top spot at Birkdale. BTW... they encourage speaking with management. We didn't since it was so busy and we didn't want to wait... but it looks like they do read reviews.

Everything came out hot and fresh, but it was all bland. My husband had the blackened chicken sandwich, and I ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca. The chicken was good quality, but I actually had to reach for the table salt, which I never do. To make matters worse, my portions were rather scant, especially for the price. On the plus side, my husband really liked his vodka lime ginger mule, and the fries were solid. My Arnold Palmer, however, was super weak and watered down. We also ordered a slice of Banana Fosters Cheesecake to go. The bill came to $85 with tip, which felt a bit steep considering the seasoning issues. What really ruined it, though, was the state of the facilities. The bathroom was putrid -- honestly, it was so bad it actually made me feel physically ill. If I were to eat here again, I'd definitely order something else and stay far away from the restroom.

The sandwich was spectacular on a wonderful crusty baguette. It wasn't heated up and made fresh about two hours before I came in most likely, so it wasn't soggy as others mentioned. It was wonderful. The flavor was very savory. My grandmother was very pleased with her breakfast sandwich! Big, flaky croissant with fluffy eggs! The coffee was not weak and I enjoyed it. Creamer was offered as a self-serve from a pitcher. It certainly felt better than opening 9 creamer cups between two people. Free water was offered at the end of the line, too. So, no waiting for a refill. I also got two pastries to go-- both were spectacular. Sweet in a savory and memorable way, rather than being over-the-top and masking fake-y ingredients with sugar like many places do. The bakers do a wonderful job. Despite the crowd and line, the employees moved quickly and kindly. Pleasantries were still exchanged and things made-to-order were out in a timely manner. The people here work very hard. It's a hectic job but they do it well and they do it without sacrificing small niceties or helpfulness. The interior was nice, too. Tables were kept clean and there was a nice area for little ones to occupy themselves while parents enjoyed their drink and meal. Books, some plushies, and pretend-play toys were there. No tablets or items that could make them hyper. I very much enjoyed my experience after a hard night and morning. Thank you to everyone that works at Cocotte for showing up and staying kind. With tip, for two people you can expect to spend around $35. Not a terrible price for a great brunch experience with great environment + people. I recommend 100%. Though, maybe come early in the morning while everything is fresh. Others have different experiences late in the day it sounds like.

This is a nice restaurant situated in a little old single-story house that faces onto an inner courtyard in the old part of Huntersville. Breakfast, lunch, and a full bar pretty much can take care of whatever you're looking for. The main dining room is furnished with an eclectic assortment of mismatched chairs and tables, but it all seems to work. There is also a short bar for those eating alone. Kids are welcome, and they even have a box of toys for kids to amuse themselves with while others dine. Everyone in our group had some kind of breakfast offering ... and they offered some really creative choices. Service was on point, and everything came out together and hot. The only misstep was the lack of onion on one order. Coffee was hearty. They have a lot of outdoor seating in back facing the courtyard, and even some in the front yard: these outdoor arears effectively double the seating capacity of the restaurant, and both are totally dependent on the weather. We wouldn't hesitate to return. Recommended.

We were seated pretty quickly, which is always a great start. Our server, Ashlene, was an absolute gem Her sweet personality and warm smile made the whole experience even better. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave some really great recommendations (we love a server who knows their stuff ). We kicked things off with drinks I had the spiced cherry mule, and my husband ordered a margarita--both were genuinely delicious and well-made. For starters, we shared the artisan bread (perfectly done, soft with just the right texture ) and a shrimp cocktail. The only tiny note: the cocktail sauce was a little on the bitter/strong side, so just go easy with it When it came time for the main course, my husband kept it light, but I went with Ashlene's recommendation--the Cajun chicken pasta--and WOW They make their pasta fresh (HELLO YES ), and it was flavorful, creamy, and not dry at all. To wrap things up, we shared the Budino for dessert and it was the perfect sweet ending. We both loved it. Overall, such a great experience from start to finish. Beautiful atmosphere, amazing food, and standout service--definitely a spot we'll be coming back to
