I went up to the counter and asked for a tasty fruity drink and i got the tall size. (i believe it was called strawberry lemonade acai) About 20 minutes later i received my drink. Safe to say that shit wasn't tall. It also tasted very watered down. It also ran me back 5 dollars which seems like a scam to me. It tasted like someone ate a strawberrry and then burped into some water and threw a few strawberries in it. Will not be coming back to any of the starbucks locations. This Starbucks is a stop for me when my BFF is in town visiting. However, it is not one of my favorite ones to be at. Inside the shop is EXTREMELY small & with it being Birkdale, it's busy & tables get taken quickly - especially by those that seem to stay for hours at a time. As Chad stated, there is outdoor seating, which again, on nice days gets filled up fast. And yes, the smokers take advantage of this area. I've noticed the past two times this year I've been here, my coffee never tastes good (yesterday I had the Caramel Brûlée, last time it was a skinny Caramel Macchiato). The tables don't ever seemed to be wiped off / cleaned off when customers leave, which means you may have a sticky seat or table. The employees aren't really friendly either. However, a couple of regulars were in there yesterday & they were quite talkative to them. So basically, if you want to run in, grab your coffee & go, visit this location. If you're trying to meet someone & visit for a while, I suggest going to another location. read more

So when it comes to caffine I'd prefer a large (venti...WTF...do I look italian? Am I in Italy????...give me a break) A non-fat large/venti latte with an extra shot (making it 3 in total). NYC is perfect..............yea.................right. So off my "long live the south horse" and back to the review....... This particular location is small by many standards with interior space, but big on outdoor seating, which is perfect for the Birk and people watching. For this particular visit I was out side and enjoying my drink, paper, and watching and listening to all the little things being done and discussed around me. So a good place to get a swift kick in the pants with some liquid go-go juice and take in the people that make up the corn burbs. read more

I have never been to a Starbucks that smells horrible! The smell is so overwhelming that you can smell it as soon as you open the door. After thinking about the smell I came to the consensus it was probably spoiled milk that has just sat there for hours. Once, I took a deep breath and went in I then ordered and waited for my drinks. All of the coffees were luke warm and were definitely not up to par for a Starbucks restaurant. I agree with others that service is super slow. My husband and infant daughter finished watching the singing Christmas bears for 20 min as well as a 6 oz bottle of milk before I could get my grande peppermint mocha. At least they got my drink and name right. They never asked for my receipt. But their slowness doesn't help when people in front of you decide what they want for a good 3 minutes when they are at the counter. Lots of seats available, but seats are squished together. I went here on the 4th Holiday because I was in the Birkdale Village for the parade. Needless to say, the wait at Starbucks was long all day. However, they managed to move through orders really quickly. I order a Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino with Caramel drizzle, however, the young lady responsible for the whipped cream almost put chocolate over the Frappe. It was a minor mistake, however, one that would have occured if I didn't say something. The "devils in the details", which I always expect of Starbucks because of the name and status.
