I recently bought a home in Plantation and the original owner didn't maintain his lawn accordingly. My irrigation system was a complete disaster; old nonfunctional sprinklers, sprinklers in wrong places, old PVC pipes, the entire system need to be revamped. I then proceed to call around for estimates regarding all my repairs. After several unreasonable estimates I gladly found Richard Levine and Water Boy Sprinkler Service. I gave Richard a call late that evening about my irrigation issues and he came out within an hour. We discussed each and every problem I had with my system, and he informed me that the system needs to be restructured. I gave him my deposit after the estimate total. Which I was really skeptical about, because I do business the opposite way. Finish the job/Get paid later, but Richard gave me his word. His crew came out (very wise and hardworking loyal guys) on "the day we selected/on time" and completed zone 1. I also gave the crew my landscaping ideas and they informed me not to finish the other zone, just call me when I removed trees around zone 2. Again I wasn't sure of if they would return but sure enough I called Richard we booked a date and his crew made it happen. However, there were some complication. Zone 2 took his crew longer than expected and also more PVC pipe. After the job was completed I received a call from Richard regarding more expenses, after I already paid. I wasn't to pleased about the call after we already had an agreement. He gave me a call the next day apologizing about the phone call the day before, he stated he should have never requested for additional funds and for his mistake he brought his crew over to do additional service at No Charge. Stand Up Guy!! I couldn't ask for anything more, although we had a small disagreement. Richard stood by his mistake and made me a happy customer. His crew is outstanding and he stands behind his business 100%!!! I would definitely recommend Richard Levine and Water Boy Sprinklers any day!!! read more

We recently needed an entirely new sprinkler system. Thank goodness for reviews! After getting two initial quotes from 2 other sprinkler companies which turned out to be terrible, I then decided to look online and pay closer attention to reviews. I then came across Waterboy Sprinkler Specialist. I saw they had received great reviews and comments from customers. The company sure lived up to their reviews. The owner of the company came over himself, he assessed the situation. At first we were told our well was bad and that we would have to spend a lot of money for a new well and then have a whole new sprinkler system installed. This was not true at all. Waterboy came back with his main sprinkler guy took a closer look and found that the pipe leading to our well just needed to have a new line or adjustment. He then gave us a properly written and fair quote which included that fix and new sprinkler system and was able to start the job in just a few weeks. Planning the job was easy and seamless. From the time we were given the quote to the time the job was fully completed communication with the owner was great and everything was done as planned. No hidden fees, no surprises and no having to chase anyone down. His installers did a great job! They were professional and friendly. They even returned after the installation was completed to make a few adjustments for me at no charge. I have not had the pleasure of using Waterboy's services, but from my experience, I can speak very highly of the owner, Richard. I actually called because I was taking a shot in the dark looking for a lawn mowing service for a house we are trying to sell. The realtor told us the lawn needed to be cut right away, and we had no idea what lawn mowing services were in the Davie area, as we currently live in Colorado. I tried a couple of companies that said they couldn't help me any time in the near future before calling Waterboy's, upon which I was greeted by a very friendly and personable gentleman, who turned out to be Richard. He informed me that he was not a lawn service, but upon hearing our situation, said that he would help me find one. He took down my number and after a short while, called me back to inform me he had gotten a hold of someone he uses for his own house, and that they would mow our lawn the very next day. He even asked me to follow up with him, to make sure everything turned out alright! I don't know what that Jonathan reviewer was talking about, because this man stood to make NO MONEY from me, but still took time out to provide help and guidance. This is a standup guy to do business with, and for that reason, I would highly recommend him. Original review: I can't say enough good things about Rich and his team. My elderly parents are on a large lot with a large sprinkler system that was more than showing its age. Waterboy came in an updated/revamped it at a fair price and it's run great ever since. When one of the older pipes did burst, they were prompt and fixed the system and didn't even charge because as Rich said that's just who he is. He's a rare guy. When the updated system was originally installed he even came out a few times as my parents called to get instructions repeated -not many would have made the repeated drives and been so understanding and patient He's patient with old folks, has fair pricing and does top notch work. We were all lucky the day we met him. October 2014 update: Rich is not only professional and reliable....he's creative. When my parents' sprinkler pump was stolen from the exposed side of their house, we didn't know what we'd do. Yes, we could replace it, but the thieves might be stalking the house to take the new pump as soon as it was installed. Rich came to the rescue. He built a concrete pad, reinforced it with rebar, ran an incredibly heavy chain under the rebar and secured it up around the pump. If I could give Waterboy 6 stars I would. Waterboy installed a timer and for some reason it wasn't working when I went to check it 2 days later. I called and left a message after hours and Rich called me back early the next morning. He had me take pictures of the timer and send it to him. He then called me back 1st thing the next morning, AMAZING follow up!! He thought that something else may be wrong with the system because the timer was new but before he jumped to conclusions he had a technician come out within the next 10 minutes to check the system, QUICK RESPONSE. The technician found that the wiring was wrong. Rich called me to explain that it was their fault and there would be no additional charge, HONEST!! About 30 minutes later I got a call from Rich and it really does seem like someone could've changed the wiring, who knows people can be mean and sometimes crazy!! Plus his team is very knowledgeable and thorough. At any rate, I would recommend Waterboy because it's rare that you find a company that is Honest, has Excellent Follow up, Stands behind their work and in this case the work of others. Last but not least, A company is only as good as it's leader and team. Paul and Larry provided excellent service, they didn't waste time, they were friendly and honest. I would recommend them. I called Richard to help me fix a leak I had on my sprinkler system. I am not familiar with anything outside the house so I was skeptical to find someone to fix it and not over charge me. But I called and told him what was wrong, he immediately knew what the problem was. He sent out his crew, one of them was Larry , they did a great job and actually told me I had broken pipes . I thought he would have to come back another day to fix it, but no they fixed it right then and there. Finished the job and even turned everything on to make sure it worked. I actually called back a week later because I found something else wrong, Richard called me back right away and sent Larry out again. He fixed it and left. Richard called me later that night to make sure I was happy with everything. I will definitely use this company again, and I will recommend them to my friends and family. I had read all of the great reviews online and was hoping that they weren't too good to be true, and I wasn't disappointed. Rich and Paul were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were very concerned with making sure the job was done correctly and in the most cost effective way for our family as well. It was very obvious that they took pride (and rightfully so) in the work that they did, and if they were going to do something, then they'd rather do it right or not at all. We had a pretty large job for them and after it was done and they showed us the new set up, we were extremely happy. I am very impressed with the dedicated professional services that Waterboy Sprinkler Pros has to offer. They are dedicated to solving problems and coming up with a perfect solution. We recently moved to South Florida and purchased a home (built in 1994) that still had the original sprinkler system. After looking here in yelp for a company to fix a water pump losing its prime I called Waterboy sprinkler. The first time I talked to Richard he was really knowledgeable and explained to me what could cause the problem and how they were going to fix it. His crew came the day we agreed and after the job was done Richard called me to make sure everything was working fine, he even called a couple of days later to confirm the pump was still working and not losing its prime. Since we bought our home we have dealt with different service companies; Plumbers, A/C repair, etc. No one has been more professional, delivered a better customer service and at the same time had reasonable price than Waterboy sprinkler . Richard and his crew are terrific - worked with Paul. I could not be happier with their service, especially customer service. They showed up same day and fixed my sprinklers. I've only lived here 7 months and previous owner explained that pipes sometimes clog and need to be flushed. Based on my explanation, Rich diagnosed the issue right over the phone and knew exactly what needed to be done. Previous company told me I needed a new motor but I wasn't comfortable with that explanation as I could clearly tell motor was working (I looked on youtube and checked myself). Richard at Waterboy Sprinklers has once again taken care of an extraordinarily aggravating sprinkler problem. I can do simple sprinkler head replacements. However, when a major situation such as a leak under the sidewalk happens, you must call in the professionals. Add to the problem a Black Olive tree with some serious, unforgiving roots. Paul and Larry, the Irrigation Techs, rerouted the pipe around the tree. Serious work, with professional results. This is the second time I have used Waterboy and I am very satisfied with the results. Last time was an issue with my well. Richard charged me a fair price both times. Communication is always great. We found Waterboy on Yelp months ago when we were having some leaks in our sprinkler system. We soon found out that our sprinkler system was extremely old and the flex pipe used is no longer sold. Richard told us we would be fixing sprinkler leaks forever. well, he was right. Here we are months later and I must have fixed 15-20 different leaks in our system. We had finally had it and we called Richard back. He came out same day and was able to give us a quote on a complete system. Before I have any work done at my home, I like to look at company review's, it helps me to know that I'm going to have professional work done. I liked all the wonderful reviews from Waterboy. When they came out to start the work they explained every thing to me and my husband that we needed to know and we were very pleased with there professionalism. They did a great job and even cleaned up so good that we couldn't even tell where there was digging going on. I called Waterboy because I was getting my driveway repaved and of course there was a sprinkler pipe running through it. Rich sent someone out right away so we wouldn't have to make the paver guys wait. Then he was able to troubleshoot a few issues we were having and now our sprinklers work great! The guys changed a few sprinkler heads and did some were rerouted and finally when we needed another pipe moved over a few feet, Rich sent the guys over right away to do it. Richard and his crew came out to my home about a year and a half ago and updated and repaired certain parts of my existing system. They did a grat job fixing broken heads and and some of the old lines. Our lawn has never looked better. I called Richard again this week because our dated line had sprung a small leak. He came out with his crew on a Saturday morning. Lucky for us he was in the area and they fixed my leak on the spot no charge. Richard is a honest great guy who takes care of his customers.
