Clint the electrician and woodworker fix up some of the shady electrical systems from the previous owner and replace with a proper switch, nicely installed and also fixed the engine instruments. Excellent work. Alex was our project manager. He consistently kept us updated on what was happening, what new things had come up, our options etc. There's an excellent store onsite for everything DIY while there. All in all the work was on time, went well and everything was great.

Each item in their work orders is either a fixed price or an accurate, reasonable estimate that they usually come in under. If additional work is needed they ask for a change order. Jaime keeps me in the loop as they work through issues. I can get at the boat 24/7 if necessary while it's in the yard. I used to get a bottle of wine along with my bill from KKMI, and it was the most expensive wine I ever got. Bay Marine has good communication, prices no higher than they have to be, and an always filled candy dish in the office. Good enough for me.

At first, I wasn't sure I was at the correct location because I was looking at a dirt lot with a truck parked on it. But yes, that is where he is located. I now have what I need and know who I can count on for future service/purchases. It's a very thin SS prop, and this couldn't have been easy. But these guys know they're doing! Due to the fall, one of the blades got bent. They fixed the blade, checked the pitch, balanced my prop and then polished it. And their prices are very reasonable. This place has new owners. I think they've been there ~1 year. A couple of young guys, with fantastic attitudes, and very customer friendly. They both have lots of experience working on props. So, I'd recommend just paying attention to reviews for the last year or so. I'd HIGHLY recommend them. I think you'll agree if you visit them with any prop issues...

I finally got through to one person who made an appointment to show up at my boat at 10:30 am on a Friday. I called the day before to confirm my appointment. The person I talked to, who I believe was the owner, said he didn't see my appointment on the calendar, but he said he would call back in 5 minutes to confirm either way. The called never came. I called again, at 9:30am, the day of the appointment and got no answer. Shortly thereafter I received a text telling me that they were running over at a job in Alameda. He said he would call me back.... as expected that call never happened either. I never heard from anyone from Protector again.
