    Stuffed flounder

Cute little two-story building you get to see a panoramic view of the bay and bridge and water. Would be a great place to take a date for a sunset dinner. The waitstaff is very helpful and attentive. She made the swirl margarita sound amazing and if I wasn't riding my bike back to Tomball I would have had one. The flounder was really good I enjoyed it but my husband didn't enjoy his shrimp porboy unfortunately and hes not picky like me so that was unfortunate. Our friend that was with us his food was cold. We still had a good time and we'd come back.

The woman who sat us was super friendly and very nice. She however wasn't our waitress. While our waitress wasn't rude, it was like we were a bother. Didn't ask if we wanted dessert or another drink, just gave us the check. We were one of 2 tables so wasn't like they were busy. When we left she was at a table with 3 other women chatting while the friendly hostess was working and thanked us for coming. That being said - view is great! Prices are reasonable! Food was very good. I'd go back, maybe it was an off night. Everyone is entitled to a bad day, we're human.

Probably one of the most disappointing meals we've had for a while. We had a large group of 7 and came after fishing in Matagorda. Interior seems dated and the menu was a bit lazy. Everything that came out tasted frozen and from a grocery store. The waitress said their best dish was chicken fried steak... at a seafood restaurant by the water... we left after briefly eating and trying our entrees. Prices are premium for the area but the quality of food was not. There are better culinary options in nearby Bay City.

We visited the Waterfront in Matagorda, Texas during a family road trip. The restaurant is easy to find and has plenty of parking. There are both stairs and a ramp for those that are not able to navigate stairs which was super helpful for our party. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. They provided a table with an amazing view. The food came out quickly. We dined on: - Dinner Salad - Fried Seafood platter (Shrimp, fish, crab rolls & oysters) - Stuffed flounder with a baked potato - Fried fish with a baked potato - Chicken fingers - Key lime pie If we are in Matagorda in the future, we are likely to visit this restaurant again. I hope you have enjoy your visit if you decide to dine in.

There was a variety of choices grilled, broiled and fried of most offerings. Drinks were excellent. View of the harbor and quick service. We will be back.

This is the only restaurant on the harbor. All you have to do is just make use of the plentiful amount of fresh seafood available. The reason I say this is because when I asked our waitress what was the best thing on the menu the answer was "chicken fried steak". Steak was a thick cut, but it only served to make it extremely chewy. I wouldn't recommend it or anything else fried here either. All the apps are fried something or other, all equally as bland as the next. Even the grilled flounder, which is considered to be some of the best most tender fish in the Texas coast area, was flayed in into squares and tough. The salads aren't even worth getting along with the meals, the are proportioned (not a crime in itself) little plates of wilted bagged salad mix. Our group instantly regretted eating here. Granted we aren't locals, and are used to a more competitive food community, that's no excuse for the lack of effort seemingly.

Local place really needing an update. Worn out carpet on a beach environment is probably as moldy as it gets The staff is friendly but they are totally disregarding COVID and no wearing any masks or gloves , which is really disappointing. food is ok. Shrimps are frozen, you can tell by the taste, really sad considering they are in the bay Chicken fingers are also frozen, dry and full of breading Baked potato meh... bacon bits from a container Overall really disappointing visit, starting with the lack of COVID guidelines

Fried everything (I can't remember what the plate is called) and the shrimp po boy.

Slow service, toughest pork chop ever, old oil, sink falling out the wall. Not a bad place just not very good in our opinion.

Inedible. NO redeeming qualities. Really, couldn't eat it. I think it was a powdered mix. Meat tasted like it came from a laboratory.

The wait staff checked on the table frequently and inquired about the food. The fried rice was a standout as well as the coleslaw. Both appeared to be made with a special recipe because they were both out of the ordinary and and subtle without being overly spicy yet still flavorful. The snapper can be ordered either fried or blackened or battered. The blackened was good, but the other methods were not tried. Standard Mass market beers on tap with bottled beers and some limited mixed drinks available.

I have a 10lb service dog, which she was with me (she detects my seizures), and when we walked in, we were immediately told that dogs weren't allowed in the restaurant. We informs the staff that she was a service dog, and they still declined. Now, I know the laws, and really did not want to get into it, but thankfully the young male waiter who was working said "you know what, I got you guys. Do you mid sitting on the patio?" We had absolutely zero issue at all sitting on the patio. Although, we shouldn't have even had to do that. BUT, the fact that he allowed us to sit and eat with my service dog was appreciated. He was very polite, kind, and professional the entire time. We had zero issues, and my service dog was perfectly fine and well mannered as she should be. We did leave our waiter a fairly generous tip for being kind, and working with us, even tho there shouldn't have been an issue to begin with. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. But for the town, there's not many options to choose from. Will we stop in again? Not quite sure. I guess it depends on if their staff has been informed and educated on service animals and the laws that's come with.

Seadrift is a small town of just under 1000 people, sometimes your job and get a little cumbersome. It showed. Staying in Tivoli at an AirBnb, so we thought we'd give it a try based on local recommendation. Was hoping it was that hole in the wall knock your socks off establishment that would make me want to stop again and again. But it wasn't. Maybe my expectations were too high going in. Let's start with the positives. Crab dip was creamy and delicious, just didn't taste like crab. Oyster appetizers should always come on a half shell. The Rock-yer-feller oysters came on a small ceramic plate that came out of the oven with no shells. The flavor was just ok. I wouldn't get it again. The oysters were hardy and good in size, made me feel like maybe they were from a jar or can. Stuff crab was meh. Shrimp didn't have seasoning, cocktail sauce was vinegar based? There was just a strong vinegar presence. The fish was by far the all star but even it tasted a little slimy when you took off the breading. Zero seasoning on the breading. The fried oysters were delicious, and I loved the fried mushrooms. Hush puppies are from a freezer bag. My daughter loved her fried chicken tenders. At $170 for three appetizers and three meals with one Dr Pepper, I felt like someone just kicked my dog. We didn't buy any, but the Snow crab was MP at $54 a pound? That's 100-150% markup from the wholesale. HEB sells it for $22 a lb at retail which is at least a 40% markup from wholesale. If your prices are going to be that high, your food should meet the expectation. It felt more like a person, opening a seafood restaurant in a fishing community, that buys everything from a frozen vendor, cooks it like a fast food restaurant, and sells it at a farm to table price. I paid and tipped generously. But there was nothing that made me want to come back.
