We were camping at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park when our car died and we couldn't jump it with a portable pack. No cell reception, no AAA, no tow trucks for miles. The closest service was Triple H, so I hiked to get cell service and called. He was super sweet and arranged to come out that afternoon, and he told us to try to enjoy our day around the camp and go for hikes and explore. We took a short hike, lounged by the river for most of the afternoon, and around the time the tow was supposed to come I took a short walk around the campground and when I saw his truck heading in, I turned around and walked back to the campsite. When I got back five minutes later, the car was alive!! (Note to self and fellow Chevy HHR owners, the battery is in the TRUNK!) Triple H Tow completely saved our vacation! My vehicle was taken to their Watsonville/Royal Oaks yard, and dealing with both the office staff and the tow yard attendant was unnecessarily stressful and hostile. I paid $1,500 to retrieve my vehicle, yet once on site, the yard attendant refused to give me his name, acted aggressively, and attempted to prevent me from leaving with my car after it had already been fully paid for. He became confrontational, behaved in an intimidating manner, and even tried closing the gate while I was inside the yard. I felt genuinely unsafe during this interaction and simply wanted to back my car out while waiting for another tow, but I was still denied access. While dealing with this unprofessional behavior at the yard, I had to call their office again. I needed my car towed to a tire shop and literally had to call their office three times before anyone was finally dispatched. Each time I called, I was told it would "only take about 20 minutes," which was repeatedly not true. It wasn't until that third call, while the situation was actively escalating at the yard, that they finally seemed to take the situation seriously. Once we were finally on the road, the tow truck driver followed behind me. During the drive, I received a call from a random office staff member telling me that I should have paid for the tow before leaving the yard and that my car would not be delivered to the destination until payment was made. This was never communicated beforehand. I pulled over to the side of the road, spoke directly with the tow truck driver, and explained the call I had just received. I asked whether I should pay immediately or upon arrival. He confirmed that paying at the destination was fine and that this was customary. The conflicting information and unnecessary call added yet another layer of stress to an already chaotic experience. The entire interaction was recorded, and I will be sharing the footage with my large local social media following so others are aware of how customers are treated here. Accidents are stressful enough. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I strongly recommend avoiding Auto Care Towing if you have any other option.

Had to call the police, who did not know the 24/7 auto service available. Well, last month my battery needed replacing. In the driveway, the car would not start. I called AAA, they could not come immediately. When they finally arrived: although I told them, I needed a new battery, the service man thought I just needed a battery jump! Then, he said, he had to go away to get one, for my car. Over 2 hours later, he showed back up, with the new battery. So, I was very nice: he told me multiple times, about being shot 6 times in Vietnam, once in the head!!! Bullcrap, he was 46: I am 66, female and do not like scammers!!! The dealership charges $250 for a battery, plus $150 labor to install. AAA charges $225 for the battery, because I pay AAA annual fees. Overall, it got done. My neighbor came to chat, which saved me, from the service drivers BS. However, please be very careful. So many creeps out there, nowadays!!!
