I see a lot of reviews that provide bad ratings, yet I've not had an issue with the office in West Palm Beach. I've not waited for more than 10 or 15 minutes to be seen. I see the Certified Nurse Practitioner, Evelina Ingersoll, and while I have to point out some things, overall, I like her. I also never felt like they were rushing me. I'm not sure if people understand that, maybe the person(s) before you, have had to have spots removed and/or biopsied. Those things take time. I try and get an appointment early in the morning, as once the day starts, and someone has an issue, they get behind... it happens everywhere. I'm not sure about call-backs, as I've not had to deal with that, but I would discuss it with the doctor, in a kind way, of course. read more

Terrible bedside manner and unprofessional front desk staff. Also the office is old and needs a renovation. They will ask you the same questions multiple times and still not listen to your cheif complaint. Also, they are not able to do basic surgeries. I was told that I would have a huge scar for something that another physician said would be minimally invasive. Would not recommend. read more

After 45 mins without seeing a Dr and no sign of it, I left when 6 others in the waiting room were also waiting for the same Dr. When I asked to speak to the vein Dr because I was told there was one in, I was given a nasty attitude by the blonde at the desk. I was there for spider veins and brown spots. I ended up leaving without my copay as they couldn't provide me with service or my copay returned. Theres plenty of Dermatologist that wont over book by 6 and that doesn't have attitudes at the desk when asking for help read more

This office has a receptionist who was outwardly friendly at the start, but disrespectful, unaccommodating and condescending-to-patients receptionist I have ever seen at a place for care. The negativity began with my needing get back to the office 10 miles away (they were running behind) and then with my questioning why I was given a form to fill out that had to do with Covid rather than anything that had to do with the reason for my visit (ironically, the receptionist was sniffing with a runny nose). It's a shame. I hate to lose my doctor (Lenz), but one needs to be able to trust the business, not only their physician. As for the receptionist, maybe she was affected by feeling sick, but outwardly friendly can be a cover to what is underneath. If you're looking for a good physician/dermatologist and don't mind the irrelevant corporate query wholly unrelated to why you are there, see Dr. Lenz. We need to return to being able to trust the medical industry and it needs to demonstrate logic. read more

I was deceived by this dermatologist. She removed a suspicious spot on my chest and took it all. She later told me I would need mohls surgery for $1200. ( U didn't have insurance) They called two weeks later and said they would cut it out for $800. I went to gardens dermatology and they said there was nothing there and that they would monitor it. That was 8 years ago. Still no cancer. Liars they are at water's edge. I'm still angry. I would leave a minus star if I could. read more

The doc I was seeing here left. Although I have been a patient here for three years, I certainly don't feel like I'm even known. A little politeness and genuine concern would go a long way. And although the folks behind the counter are nice, the nurses I've had and others, including docs recently, have a real "us and them" attitude. Shame really. Waiting for biopsy results for 4 weeks. My wife leaves messages daily starting after 2 weeks. No reply. What is issue?

Dr. Laurie Lenz is an aggressive, incompetent dermatologist who butchers her patients. I recently saw her for a minor squamous spot on my arm which required a minor removal. Instead, she performed a 2 inch incision which required 6 stitches. My arm looks like it was slashed by a knife. The 6 stitches in my arm were so tight that I needed a surgeon to remove them. Afterwards, the wound was treated with triple antibiotic cream to heal the trauma of the procedure. In June 2018, Waters Edge has partnered with Gryphon a private equity firm. i made an appointment & when i got there i had to wait 35 minutes to be seen & once i was seen the doctor came in for maybe 2 minutes or less, put a flash light on my face & told me there was nothing wrong & talked to me in a condescending voice. can't help but to think it's because i'm in my early 20's with no insurance that might be the reason. my WHOLE body is itching & i asked her multiple times to do a skin scrape for mites but she told me no & that she would prescribe me shampoo WHICH SHE NEVER EVEN CALLED INTO THE PHARMACIST FOR THE LAST 3 DAYS. so i had to pay $80 to be talked to like a baby for maybe 2 minutes then got sent home. if you're patients are TELLING you to do something how about you actually do your job & do what was asked? don't recommend this to anyone under 75 years old bc those are the only people they seemed to care about. by the way i saw dr. lacey. i thought it would be good seeing her since older doctors don't listen to young people when they say they know is something wrong but she literally didn't care at all. read more

Changed my life. I visited Water's Edge Dermatology last year with a terrible case of what I thought was adult acne. It turns out I actually have Rosacea. The providers are down to earth and do not talk over your "level". They are caring and thorough. The desk staff are friendly and helpful. The documents are all on an iPad so it is easy to complete forms. I highly recommend this practice. I have been a client for almost 10 years and used to drive to Gardens to see them. Dr. Lenz does not know how to do normal procedures for removing cysts or taking biopsies. She made holes with a punch that was smaller than the cyst and let the contents spread into the surrounding area causing infections on 3 separate locations. She did 8 biopsies on pink areas and cut so deep I now have large lumps in 8 areas that used to only be pink. She is incompetent. Do not go here! read more

I will not be walking through their doors again, Unfortunately, my visits have been fraught with problems, not from the doctors who appear to be competent, but from the nursing and office staff. On my visit to have a large lipoma removed from my back, I was charged almost $1000. When I found out that the co-pay should have been $80 (something they should have known from the insurance company,) they couldn't refund it back to my credit card. A central office would have to cut me a check and mail it. Nope, no $1000 check is going in the mail. So we had to make a trip to pick it up. That procedure provided me with a 2" incision and internal/external stitches. The Medical Assistant told me I could take Ibuprofen for pain (I learned later it should have been Tylenol) and the internal bleeding from it caused a huge swelling of blood that had to be drained resulting in a second trip to the office. Next time I visited for my skin check and had two small moles between my shoulders removed for testing. The doctor decided to do a "deep shave" of the skin on a follow up visit. Due to the poor packing and tiny bandaids put on the wounds by the nursing supervisor, I was already bleeding all over my shirt by the time I got in the car. Since I had on bright multi-color shirts I didn't notice I was bleeding. I live alone and did not realize I had bled through all this until the next day in the daylight. I ruined three shirts and my recliner as well as small spots of blood on my new mattress. Thank goodness I slept on my sides most of the night. When I sent photos of all the damage and the bandages to the office manager, she put it back on me. Sorry that they didn't provide the care "I" expected, as if I was expecting something lofty and unattainable. What I really expected was to have secure bandages on that I wouldn't need to worry about as soon as I walked out of the office. read more

Used their online appointment request process and never heard anything back, even checked my spam folder to be safe. I ended up making an appointment over the phone as a new patient for a check up and to look at a few spots. They ended up assigning me to Dr Platzer who is a really young guy, he appeared in a rush just to get me in and out and didn't do a good job of explaining things to me before or while he was doing things. He ended up doing a biopsy on a mole and didnt coterize very well so I had lots of bleeding for several days. They said I would have my results of the biopsy within 2 weeks. Going on week three now I cant seem to get my results from them and have called several times and left a few messages. Apparently there is only one person that works in their pathology department and she has been out sick and nobody can seem to handle this process until she returns. Nothing more nerve racking than playing the waiting game to find out if you have cancer or not. The ladies at the front desk were friendly but other than that I will go somewhere else next time as they appear to treat you more of a number here and just want to get you in and out then take your money. read more

I was having trouble with my skin and decided to try Water's Edge as they are located next to another doctor's office of mine and the place looks very nice (and clean). I made an appointment to see Dr. Platzer. There was little to no wait time. I was called in and treated very well. I also had my 5 year old with me and the Dr. charmed my son (and was not annoyed by my bringing him with me). Dr. P. is a professional all the way. Offered me advice for my skin issues, free samples to see if I liked what he wanted me to use prior to my having to spend money buying it, and helped me with some old milia that I just can't seem to get rid of! On my 3rd visit which was at the Wellington office, I got to speak to Julia Edwards, the esthetician. She spent 15 minutes talking with me about a better skin care process and was very polite and patient. I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences here.
