Currently vacationing from the Milwaukee area. In laws have a house near by and was looking for a great patio with lake views that is dog friendly. Lo and behold we get out of the truck and the dogs take off right towards the water and fetch began. The wife went and got us drinks. I wanted a Mojito which the bartender did not have fresh mint for however he still pulled off a very tasty mojito. The service was great and the lake views were even greater. We did not stay for dinner, however, after reading the menu this will be a must eat the next time we're up here. read more

Friendly place with good food and drinks with a great view of the lake. They offer a pretty great soup and salad bar that can be ordered as a meal if you would like. Otherwise you can add it to your sandwich for $8. (I'm not sure if the soup and salad comes with a dinner or if you have to pay extra). The salad bar was well stocked with many fresh options and I loved the soup. Tonight's was potato bacon and it was fabulous. All of our sandwiches were good and were well prepared. I had the deluxe fish sandwich, which was huge, hot and tasty. Server was friendly and checked in a number of times during our meal. My friends have a cottage nearby and it's been a go to for them ever since the new owner took over a few years ago. read more

TL:DR? Overpriced mediocrity. Based entirely off Yelp I had high expectations. My in-laws live nearby and on a whim decided to say "Yes." My sons were ecstatic . Theirs was a great experience because of the view of the lake on a beautiful November day. We were seated promptly, everyone in the family was smiling and impressed. The waitress seemed disappointed from the beginning. Her service was sub par- could've just been a bad day, but after waiting nearly ten minutes during an obviously slow Saturday at 4:30 for someone else to show me their face and help; I gave up and had to go ask the bartender for ketchup for the now cold onion rings. The cheese curds were typical bar quality. The food was slow to arrive, but good things take time. Right? It was decent. The Alfredo was good, noodles al dente, chicken seemed to be off cuts. "This chicken has a good flavor but it's super chewy" said the 10 year old. Enough said. The Saturday special was prime rib. No complaints just not stellar. My wife had the walleye. Again personal preference she doesn't enjoy the skin on, and again - typical bar food quality fried fish. The biggest disappointment was a silent one. My 7 year old loves all hamburgers. He took 3 bites and didn't complain. Or ear more than that .. I tried a bite of the burger and I concurred with his assessment. I left 10% for her efforts. My wife wasn't pleased with the decision, "You're far too generous." All in all- beautiful setting. Nice ambience. Average food for a bar on a lake. read more

Bar area very nice. Outdoor space very nice. Food not so good. Lobster tail very hard to get the meat out of the shell and taste was blah. Scallops needed to be broiled more, haddock Cajun no flavor. Salad bar is nice. Next time we will just order drinks and appetizer. read more

Won't be going back to this restaurant again. Went on a Tuesday night at 6 o'clock. The place was not busy at all! We were a party of five adult adults , and one child. Our server was ok. She was polite, but poor service. Got our beverages in a timely manner. Ordered one appetizer, which took almost 30 minutes to get. The cheese curds were good . We asked the waitress about our food. She replied I hope it comes soon. She also said, there was a table of a party of 15 people. It was 15 one party sixth and the other that were only there in the restaurant we checked it out. Waited an hour and 15 minutes to get our meal which consisted of three fish sandwiches, 1/2 chicken dinner and chicken strips And taco dinner.The fish and chicken was dry and overcooked. If you have this kind of service, when you keep your customers-waiting for their food over an hour when you can't accommodate 21 people in your restaurant all at one time. Love this place! It's essentially a rustic supper club along the shores of Lake Lucerne, a few miles outside of Crandon, WI. Look like they specialize in bar food and surf & turf. Our entire family had one of the Friday night fish fry specials, and the food was great. Full bar and ~4 beers on tap. In the summer they had tables set up outside, some covered and some open air, all with views of the lake. They are able to accommodate large parties (we had 10). Prime rib sandwich. Great flavor. But definitely not worth 13 bucks. Homemade fries were floppy and soggy. 6 people at the bar but the music was cranked to 10. Had to yell at the person next to you to have a conversation. Ridiculous. Great view,clean bar. Won't be back unless I have to. read more

We viewed the menu online and expected so much more. Furniture is cheap and dumpy. Salad bar was very small, little selection. Steaks were kind of soggy and were a bit better than diner quality. Shrimp had a fluffy batter that wasn't crispy and it tasted of over-used oil. Veggies were nothing special, just soggy and very run of the mill. Drinks and liquor selection were very basic. The salad bar isn't what it used to be. The fish is decent but definitely not worth the money. $22 for walleye? I know walleye are hard to catch in Lucerne, but com'on man! However, let it be known that Roger has the best pizza in town. Not sure if its the sugar in the sauce; but that's what makes it. We stopped here for dinner last night and haven't been here in about 12 years. The young bartender was very efficient and hard-working and attentive. Our food order was taken as soon as we asked and we had things waiting for us when we left the bar to walk to the dining room. The soup could have been a bit warmer but was very tasty and the salad was simple but fresh and very good. We both ordered steaks and I included some hand battered and fried shrimp with my tenderloin. The steaks were done perfectly were tender and delicious. The shrimp was great too. Overall the food quality here was excellent, very well done and very tasty and very good price for the meal. read more

Great find for the north woods. 4 1/2 stars. - edge burger - good flavor, good size, plenty of food. - boiled haddock Parmesan Peppercorn - really flavorful. Nice choice and recommendation from server, Penny, who was a hoot and fun. - pork ribs - most meat I've ever had one ribs. Really, really good. Half rack was plenty after the side and salad. But, I had to try the haddock as well. (always the foodie). For those diners not thinking highly of the food, this isn't LA or NYC. Grade on a curve. I would think this is the top of the options for the location and highly recommend it. Nice menu, phenomenal views, friendly people. My order was custom because I couldn't make up my mind. Stopped in this evening because no other restaurants were open in area. Have been disappointed in the past but thought we'd give it another shot. Sat in bar area. 2 other people were in the bar including bartender and owner who was glued to the TV watching wheel of fortune. We were not greeted. I had to approach owner to get a drink and Menu. Upon finishing our drinks I once again had to approach the owner to place another drink order. He is so unfriendly I felt awkward asking for a drink. I asked if he could help me again or if I should ask the bartender. He told me to ask the bartender. So I walked 1 foot to stand in front of her. She completely ignored me. I ordered drinks and cheese curds for a appetizer. She told me she was in the middle of something so I just sat down. The curds did appear but were over cooked. I walked to the salad bar to squeeze some ranch into the basket because they didn't come with any sauce and I knew it would be too much of a bother to ask the owner or bartender. We were finally so frustrated with the terrible service we just left. No one bothered to take our dinner order anyway. Of course to pay the bill we needed to approach the owner. We should have just walked out on the check....they would have never noticed anyway. The only reason this place stays in business is because there aren't many other options. If you are looking for overpriced, mediocre food with horrible service this is your place. read more

We were there for a fish fry the night before my cousins wedding. The Chicken stole the show. Fried Chicken five stars rest of the food four stars. Great evening seated outside. Best combo of kids/adults/barfood/supperclub in the area. Kids menu, patio, daily specials, horse shoes, pool, ski shows on Wednesdays, etc. The broasted chicken is the best around, spotted cow on tap, and a few other decent beers in bottles if you want something besides Miller/Bud. Good cheese curds, fish, burgers, salad bar and more. We have a summer home nearby and go to 'the edge' numerous times per trip. read more
