Absolutely wonderful addition to Doylestown! Exciting to have an urban winery concept :). Huge selection of wines from around the world along with an extensive food selection. Service was top notch and timed perfectly. Jan our bartender was wonderful, very well versed in the wine selection and able to make informed recommendations. They offer traditional tasting, flights and glasses. The Brussels sprouts were delicious, we will absolutely be back. L

    Ricotta starter and Chicken Slovakia.

Came in last night with a friend for happy hour. We were both very impressed in the restaurant. It has a relaxing sophisticated vibe. What started out as just one wine turned into a bottle of the best sparkling wine and dinner!! Bartenders were very informative and friendly. Jan is an asset to Waters Edge! He went through the menu and explained the wines throughly. He choices were A++++. Great addition to town! We will be regulars..

I ordered the lobster bisque, which was the soup of the day and it was so delicious. I highly recommend it if they happen to have it when you are there. I got grilled shrimp as my main and it was a bit disappointing. It came with 5 pieces and one of the shrimp was ripped in 2 pieces before they served it to me - they must've known this because they hid it underneath another shrimp during the original presentation of the plate. It was disappointing and I wish I would have chose a different dish instead. I got the tiramisu as a dessert which was a great way to end my meal here.

I would say six tables at most. The decor seemed a little tired and could use some freshening. The bar area sits a step down from the entrance and seemed active. We decided to each have a drink to start and I had the prime rib carpaccio. The meat was delicious and very thinly sliced. The cheese and capers were a perfect flavor profile. They had elk on the menu so I couldn't resist. It was cooked perfectly and absolutely melted in my mouth with a tasty reduction over top. My wife had the seared scallops over two colors of noodles and scallions. The scallops were a touch too salty yet cooked perfectly. The dark chocolate cake was simply amazing. A must if you go. The food was quite good and they always seem to have some unique options if you like wild game. Give it a try and see what you think.

The bartenders were really nice. The bottle "cellar" area is full of different styles. I perused the area and if your looking for international beers this is a good place to look. The shelves were stocked with a very wide selection of mostly Belgian, Italian brews with American Micro and German coming in just behind. I've had Spanish brews before, but they actually had in stock six to 10 different Spanish Brews and some Brazilian beer. (Makes sense since a Brazilian Steakhouse is connected to the building) The prices were fair and they even had some exclusive Iron Abbey collab beers with local breweries. It's out of the way for me bottle shop wise, but if I do stop by the area I'll of course check out their stock. I found a couple of nice hard to find Imperial Stout's that now have a nice home. A nice addition to the building.

The vineyard is very pretty, the tasting (flight?) room is historic and very nice. The wines are decent, nothing to write home about but if I had a bottle or glass I'd drink it. The experience, sub par. "Tastings" are offered as flights, so not tastings. On top of that, the flights are set, so you can't choose what you drink. It's just dry or sweet. There is no interaction with the staff to learn about the grapes, origin, how it's made etc etc. true wine drinkers love the traditional experience that this winery just misses the mark on. Flights are served in plastic cups on wooden boards, ok but wasteful. Overall, a disappointment, without some changes this will not be a winery we return to

We had a 6:45 reservation and were greeted promptly by the hostess and seated right away. The décor has a nicely polished feel, and I really love the bar positioned in the center of the room. It is a small, well-run restaurant with a friendly staff. I certainly will keep that in mind as a place to sit for our next visit. The food clearly leans fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and we started with cocktails from the bar. I had a perfectly poured Manhattan, while my wife enjoyed a glass of French Rose. For dinner, I had the Trout Murat, which was outstanding. My wife ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese, and she commented that it was really good as well. The menu blends Italian and French influences--perhaps with a nod to southeastern France. The portions were perfect and we had "room" for desert. Glad we did because the Panna Cotte was outstanding. Slate Bleu is a terrific local spot. Easy to get in and out of from a parking situation-rarity for Dtown. We'll definitely be back and not a big gap like last time.
