We loved the food and the atmosphere there! Unfortunately, I couldn't choose a wine because all of the wine glasses had a synthetic smell (maybe from dishwasher soap or the rubber mats they were stored on), so I ended up getting a can of beer and drinking it straight from the can

Charming little spot -- the atmosphere is downright adorable, and the menu is nothing short of massive. They've got pages upon pages dedicated to wines, whiskey flights, and even wine flights, which feels fun and adventurous. That said, I was really surprised (and honestly, a bit disappointed) to find that most of the wine is only sold by the bottle. For a wine bar, that feels like a major miss -- not everyone wants to commit to a whole bottle just to try something new! Food-wise, it was a mixed bag. The ceviche tostada was a letdown -- the seafood tasted far from fresh, with that overly fishy flavor that makes you push the plate away instead of dive in. The charcuterie, on the other hand, was solid -- tasty, but nothing remarkable enough to justify the price tag. In short: super cute vibes, extensive drink menu, but the food quality and pricing don't match the charm. Probably not somewhere I'll be racing back to.

Excellent atmosphere, low music, romantic spot. You can choose outdoor or indoor dining. We only had drinks, but will definitely be back to try menu. Service was very attentive.

Very nice ambiance. I liked the food and wine. I preferred the small plates. I would try them again.

Ok... this place was splendid! I wish they had Diet Coke and brought water out right away but in all this was some A service. The decor is s'cute. The cheese board is a must and the flatbread goat cheese and mushroom I wish we got two. That was delicious! I did not like the goat cheese and salmon because the bread they used wasn't the best. The truffle fries are a must as well. The perfect French fry with your own personal ketchup bottle. We sat out on the porch section the shade and trees above were a vibe on its own. My friend got the truffle hamburger and she rated it an 8.5 and my other friend said it was a 6. Nothing crazy but still good. I would come back here again for wine and cheese.

The 3 of us were disappointed. Everything looked fantastic but our 6 choices ranged from OK to Good. The servers were all very nice as was the upstairs seating but the food was just lacking. I won't describe our shared plates in detail but they ranged from the Beet Salad, to the Bacon Flatbread, to the Short Ribs. We also had Truffle Fries, Korean Fried Wings and the Beef Wellington. Portion sizes were larger than what we remembered from our last visit but overall they all lacked seasoning and that "Wow-factor". We won't be in any particular rush to return.

We visited Nektar for lunch on our most recent trip to New Hope, PA The space is unexpected and elegant, offering diners both inside and outdoor seating options. We were seated outside on a beautiful terrace nestled in a lush landscape that overlooks the bustle of the town. The menu is an eclectic assortment of small plates, flatbreads, salads and charcuterie boards, all of which compliment the generous array of beer, wine and whiskey options. We decided on a selection of small plates to share and the chilled red wine flight. The wine flight was a spectacularly curated succession from light and faintly carbonated to a more rounded, smoky full-body selection. Each offering had clearly delineated notes and flavors that perfectly complemented our meal. Our small plate selections included the Fried Cheese "Saganaki, Spinach and Chickpeas, Scallops and Tuna Tacos. The "Saganaki" style fried cheese was a delicious Halloumi breaded and served with lime, jalapeno and cilantro. The combination of the slightly salty and nutty cheese with the heat of the jalapeno, acidity from the lime and herbaceous notes of cilantro are fried cheese perfection!! The Spinach and Chickpeas were served with crostini. The saffron and cumin broth was very light and we felt it could have been enhanced by a bit more salt and perhaps some heat or acidity to break up the inherent starchiness of the chickpeas. The Scallops came enveloped in a flavorful curry and coconut broth and were delicately prepared. The curry notes were mild and the coconut and lime flavors took center stage to create a light and refreshing bite. The Tuna Tacos were fresh and perfectly prepared. I opted for no crema for this order, which can sometimes result in a dry taco, but the bright and delicious tomatillo sauce in these tacos ensured every bite was juicy and flavor packed!! These tacos were the shining star of the meal for me... delish!! Overall, Nektar is an awesome place to check out in New Hope! The beautiful space, attentive and congenial staff, absolutely amazing wine, beer and whiskey offerings and diverse and delicious small plates should not be missed!!

Amazing good, every time we come, it's a great selection of tapas to share. Staples are the octopus and beef Wellington which are always winners. The service is spot on and a beautiful view of the river. One of my favorite spots and a must every time I visit New Hope. Additionally, excellent wine and whisky flights!

This place was so good we went twice. The ambience, the food and the service was just exceptional. My pictures tell the story; between the tapas and the wine flights we were in heaven.

We got lucky with a corner upper deck table on a gorgeous fall day so the ambience was 100. Service was attentive but not intrusive we had the prosciutto flatbread which was good but did not like the hummus under the Gruyère (weird combo). The short rib was excellent. Very tender. The pumpkin (squash) ravioli was very good. Old Fashioneds need the large square cube, which they didn't have, in my opinion. Overall very good experience.

A lovely afternoon snack. Excellent beet & goat cheese salad along with two delicious Georgian wines. :)

Best place in New Hope! Always great food, atmosphere, and service. We're now hooked on the Georgian wines that you can taste as a flight or by the glass.

I can't say I enjoyed this visit. The place was busy and we were lucky to grab a bar seat. We decided on a charcuterie and wine flight. The charcuterie had 3 cheese and 2 meats. Nothing to cut the hard cheeses with. Picture seen in photo, meat piled in a ball on top of other meat. Just seemed thrown on board no effort and the price was over $50 just for it alone. The wines were placed on the bar and our server walked away, no water no explanation, no f's. I had to call him back just to ask which wines were which and if we could also have water. Our bill was $90, not worth the price or experience. I'm sure the ambiance was nice on their decks, so I recommend do get the tapas and don't bother with the boards!!! I doubt I'd ever recommend this to others. There are so many places to eat in new hope. Just disappointed I chose this to be our place.

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary Tuesday night at Nektar, we aligned on a romantic spot in New Hope overlooking the Playhouse minus the weekend tourist crowds. We were very excited as we arrived on time for our 5 pm reservation, and had a choice of tables for 2 out back on the upper deck, yet kitchen food prep issues marred our overall experience for the price point. We were drawn by the 4.2 star (out 721 reviews) but unfortunately, our experience was a 3 - 3.5 at best. This in no way reflects on Afrodite our server nor the large array of menu choices both foot and especially on libations. In summary, 2 of our 5 small plate dishes were well over cooked-- the pork tamales were burnt on the ends and dry and the dish I had my heart set on, the Chilean Sea Bass was well overcooked with dry uninspiring flavor. Very upsetting due to the cost of the dishes and the point that when we were served the place was virtually empty... should never had happened. As for the other dishes they too missed the point by being a few steps just above room temperature leading us to under if many dishes are prepared ahead of time and left to sit until ordered and then possibly heat lamp heated. Here's what we ordered: Opened with the beet salad (this was perfect), followed by the pork tamales, followed by the scallops (this was very good, but could have been warmer), chilean sea bass which was overcooked and dry, and lastly the Panko Shrimp which was okay. The certainly win for plating presentation as you'll see in my photos but with the other options in town, we'd think really hard about returning.

The surf & turf was a very generous portion of short ribs and sea scallops noodles with wild mushrooms in a truffle cream sauce. We also had the sesame and panko crusted tuna entee with wasabi "air" foam. We appreciate the wonderful experience, outside table surrounded by blooming seasonal flowers and plants. A Hidden Gem in Lambertville - Cocktails, Cuisine & Character All in One Spot! We came to…read moreLambertville, PA on a whim during a trip from Miami, looking to explore a charming small town with history, heart, and hopefully some hidden treasures. With zero expectations and a love for antiquing and supporting small businesses, we were immediately smitten by the cobblestone beauty and old-town charm. But the real gem of this visit? T 54 - a restaurant that completely stole our hearts (and taste buds). From the moment we walked into this quaint little spot that seats no more than 68 people, we knew we were somewhere special. The greeting was warm, welcoming, and relaxed - a "sit wherever you'd like" vibe that instantly made us feel like locals. But then came the moment that made the entire trip: David, the bartender. Let me just say this - if Lambertville has a mayor of cocktails, it's him. I asked David to surprise us with something extraordinary, and WOW did he deliver. First up, the espresso martini - a drink I've had hundreds of times, yet never like this. Smooth, bold, balanced - truly remarkable. I asked him what his next best was and he handed me the Green Hope - a gin-based masterpiece that was bright, herbaceous, and perfectly crafted. Drink three? The showstopper: The Lambertville David-Aayyyy - his own off-menu spin on their Lambertville Rose cocktail, and an absolute knockout. The man is a cocktail magician. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the burger and fries and let me be real with you - this wasn't just a burger. This was a BURGERRRRR. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and topped with a torched cheese interior (yes, torched... and yes, it matters), fresh toppings, and a house-made aioli that I wanted to bottle and take home. The fries? Imagine a single potato sliced into thick, golden quarters, crisped and seasoned to perfection. They're rustic, hearty, and addictive. My man had the eggs benedict with prosciutto, and I kid you not - I've never seen a plate licked so clean. It was that good. Like, "don't even need to run this plate through the dishwasher" level good. From the intimate atmosphere to the elevated drinks, and seriously impressive food, T 54 is a place that blends soul, flavor, and genuine hospitality in a way that's rare to find. Whether you're a local or just passing through like us, make the time to visit this place. Ask for David. Trust him. And bring your appetite. This is the kind of place that makes you fall in love with small towns all over again.

We finally got around to trying Taverna 54. We called ahead to check on seating, and Maximo told us…read moreto come in. When we arrived, though, we were told there weren't any seats. After a few minutes, they said they could squeeze us in. It felt a bit odd -- the space isn't very large, so you'd expect the dining room to be easier to manage. We shared the burger and the carbonara. Both dishes were underwhelming, especially given the expectations we had for this spot. The burger was on the bland side, and the carbonara was made with store‑bought noodles, which took away from the dish. While the food missed the mark, the dining area itself is very nice and the service was great.
