All they had to do was say you mind if we close early?? That'd been ok but to just say nothing is rude and not good for business. THEN today, I get there 20 minutes before they open because I knew it'd be busy today due to this weather. Second in line and wait till 10 o'clock for them to open. Well I left at about 12 minutes AFTER ten because they hadnt opened yet. A car or 2 behind me left as well. Drove back by a short time later, they finally opened. Whatever the business is, at least open and close like your sign says. You open at 10? Then open at 10. Not 10:14 or whatever time you want. You close at 5? That's cool too but tell people you're closing early. You've lost a long time customer today because of those 2 incidents.

I did not expect something approaching a Scientology timeshare presentation. I had to tell this poor girl no six times. Six. A dying brother asking me for a kidney would have been less pushy. I understand she's probably required to do it, so I don't really blame her personally, but good grief. By the sixth "no," I was beginning to wonder whether I was legally allowed to leave without getting a membership. The actual $16 car wash was fine. My car came out looking good. Not great. Not gleaming like it had just rolled off the showroom floor. But good. Mission accomplished. Then I decided to use the free vacuums. This is where I became convinced that whoever designed this place also owns a body shop and generates business for himself here. You can only drive forward through the vacuum area. If all the spaces are occupied, you keep driving forward looking for an opening. Seems reasonable enough, until you discover that THE ROAD JUST ENDS. There is no loop. No turnaround. No escape route. You have simply reached the end of the vacuuming world. Every spot was full, so I made it all the way to the end and discovered my only option was to reverse my way back through the entire thing while avoiding people driving forward behind me and other cars simultaneously backing out of their vacuum spaces. It was stressful. Honks were had. Friends were made. Character was built. I drive a relatively small car and there was absolutely no room for me to turn around, so I have no idea what the guys driving the big ol' "I'm overcompensating for something, guess what?" pickup trucks are supposed to do. Abandon them? Establish a permanent settlement? Wait for winter? For $16, my car looks considerably better than it did when I arrived, so the wash itself did its job. But between having to decline a membership six times and accidentally participating in the automotive version of the evacuation of Dunkirk just to use a vacuum, this place is a one and done for me. The car is clean. My spirit is weary. I will not be returning.
