Food -the chefs here know flavors and how to highlight their amazing ingredients. Service - not only are the servers serious about your experience They are present without being intrusive (like so many other restaurants) Ambiance- this is a one of a kind view!

    Seafood salad the best.

Food was great from the apps to the main and the dessert. However the waiter wasn't great. Not great customer service. When asked to take our photo he didn't seem happy. Refused to give dessert menu when asked because he wanted to clear all the mains first. Didn't seem happy to serve us. View was great , ambiance was good. Overall , this place is great and will surely comeback, hopefully we get a different waiter.

I celebrated my birthday here with my boyfriend and it was a nice experience. The views were amazing! Our waiter was very patient with us as we ordered drinks then asked him to take photos outside then order food after. I'm glad he didn't get annoyed at us for taking some time with that so the customer service was great! We order sangria for drinks and they were different than any other sangria I've had before but it was good! I have a lot of allergies in food so I decided to order a few appetizers and my boyfriend ordered the pasta dish. It was a nice venue and I believe it turns into a bar later on at night but we didn't stay long after eating as we had drinks prior and just wanted to go back to the hotel. I'd recommend it, the apps were good and the views were great. Nice change of scenery.

I will start by saying "come for the view and ambiance only." Location is right on the water with great views of NYC. They host a lot of parties and events in the upper levels. Food is ok, nothing special. The seafood tower was not as fresh as i would have expected. The veal osso bucco was under whelming. Service was gracious with a few hiccups. I will end by saying "come for the view and ambiance only. "

Atmosphere is great, and the Service was good. Food and Cocktails we ordered tasted great but it can be a bit pricey, so morw suited for Dinner Dates or Special Occasions with Family.

I had my baby's first birthday here and it was a great experience. Had about 65 guests and they were all very pleased with the venue as well as the food that they served. The venue was beautiful with lots of natural light with the view of NYC. The manager that was in charge of my event, Shantal was so lovely to work with. She was flexible and very helpful throughout the event. Definitely would recommend this place for any big parties that people are planning!

This was my second time at this location and definitely had a better time this time around. My friends took me out for my birthday and made reservations for 6pm. When I arrived I pulled up to valet and its only tip. I walked in and was greeted by the hostess and she sat me with my friends. The ambiance and view of this place outweighs everything else. Cosmo was our waiter and he was good. For my first drink I got the raspberry martini and it was ok. I then switched to pinot nior which was ok. For dinner I got the mushroom pappardelle. It was just ok, I had to add salt for a better taste. My friends got the chicken and the steak frite. They both said the food was just ok. The only problem with this place as I been here twice and the food is just mediocre. Eveything else from the service and the ambiance is pretty good. If you don't want the party atmosphere I suggest coming on a Sunday or during the week.

Bread pudding. It was kind of dry for me but very filling. Just OK

Had dinner here with friends last Friday evening. Was not our first and most likely won't be our last. Beautiful venue with an absolutely gorgeous view! The food is always good and filling. This time around we ordered filet minon, scallops, tuna tartar, salmon, bang bang shrimp and tuna. All were hands down cooked to Perfection and incredibly tasty as always. For dessert we shared the cream brûlée, chocolate cake and bread pudding. The chocolate cake was my absolute FAVORITE!! I swear I'd rerun just for that dessert! The cake was HUGE. The ice cream went along perfectly and the whipped cream alongside it was fresh and just perfectly complimented the dish! See my pics although they don't do justice to the flavor nor presentation. The drinks were just meh. Friends had cosmos and they enjoyed. I had two pomegranate martinis and neither were a strong at all. Friday evenings they have music out back. It was Ok and the crowd was lame but we had a nice time regardless. Breathtaking views of the city and perfect for a sexy date or evening with friends. Not for kids weekend evenings-definitely not their scene.

This is a well known hangout spot with a "waterside" dining experience overlooking NYC. I have yet to dine in so I can not comment on this experience, but I come here to enjoy a drink or two, and to check out the view. They have indoor and covered outdoor seating. Also, uncovered by the water for those nice summer nights. Great date spot if you're trying to impress someone, but it is also a club/lounge type of place so it can be crowded at times. FYI: Plenty of free parking outside the restaurant area, or you can valet. I believe the valet is only for those who are dining in.

Went to dinner here on a Saturday night with a group of 6. The music and liveliness really picked up around 10 pm. As for our dinner, it started on a poor note with murky tap water with pieces of something swimming in it. The manager did see and pretty quickly gave us bottled water that he did not charge for. We shared appetizers- onion rings tower (5/5), stuffer zucchini blossoms (2/5), bang bang shrimp (4/5), spicy tuna tartare (3/5), arugula salad (3/5), Brussel sprouts (2/5), baked clams (4/5). The overall appetizer standout was the onion ring tower followed closely by the bang bang shrimp and baked clams. Unfortunately, all the others were extremely mediocre. For entrees, I tried the black ink pasta (5/5) which was really well balanced with the butter sauce, chilis, and shrimp (generous shrimp portion!) They warned me that that dish was spicy but I found it to have mild spice if any. The other entree I tried was the seafood capellini (3/5) which came highly recommended by the waiter. Unfortunately this one fell short on flavor. The pasta itself did not fit into the fish and tasted like it belonged in a kids menu rather than a complex seafood dish. The seafood itself was fresh and a generous portion. We finished off with the cheesecake which was my personal favorite dish of the entire meal. The consistency was perfect and the contrast of the fruits added a tart flavor to every bite. We did order a coffee that we never recieved but they removed it from our bill when we brought it up. The restaurant does have a beautiful view especially the enclosed outdoor area which does have heaters. It's unfortunate that the service and food quality is falling short because this location has incredible potential!

The food is okay, what got me to put in three stars was the friendly service and the great view. The food is just a little underwhelming.

Let me be clear, the main redeeming aspect of this place is the talent on stage. The musicians were exceptional and deserved far better than the environment surrounding them. I ordered a scotch neat, something I'm very familiar with, and immediately knew something was off. When I politely flagged down a waiter, he responded with visible annoyance, as if I was inconveniencing him by being a paying customer. I explained the issue and simply asked if it could be checked or replaced. Instead of addressing it professionally, he walked away without a word, returned holding the bottle and my glass, and said, "this is what you were poured," before carelessly tossing the drink back onto the table. No apology. No explanation. Just attitude. It escalated from there. When I confronted him about his behavior, he denied it outright and then doubled down with an aggressive, confrontational stance, getting in my face and effectively threatening me. His exact words? "If I tossed your drink on the table, it would have been all over you!", and "Man, shut yo ass!" Completely unprofessional and unacceptable in any setting, let alone an establishment that positions itself as upscale. The manager's response was just as disappointing. Instead of addressing the behavior of his staff, he blamed me, asking why I "chased" the waiter and suggesting I should have gone directly to him. That's not how basic customer service works. I tried to resolve the issue directly, respectfully, and without escalation, something his employee clearly had no interest in. I was thinking if I talk to the waiter first, he wouldn't get in trouble with his manager. To make matters worse, the manager continued to defend the waiter rather than de-escalate the situation. At that point, it was clear this wasn't a one-off issue; it's a reflection of how this place operates. I paid my bill and left. For a venue that attracts world-class jazz talent, it's astonishing how low the standard of service is. This place is doing a disservice to the artists who perform there. I will never return, and I would strongly caution anyone expecting a professional, respectful experience to look elsewhere.

Fool me once and it's shame on you, fool me twice and the shame is mine for getting us into a war based on lies and greed?" Yeah something like that. Anyways, I typically don't believe when people say something is close so whenever I visit her we just order in delivery rather than motivate (ie put on a bra) and go out. But dang it this is literally. Right. Next. Door. As in I can sit on the deck outside of the restaurant and look in her living room. Smh. I say all that to say IVE BEEN MISSING OUT!! Her bday was this weekend so she booked a large table for family and friends. I was relieved to see they had valet. Parking is atrocious in this development so to only pay $10 to be 10 feet from the door was awesome. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff know her well and treated her as a valued guest. Here's the rundown: We went for BRUNCH. They have a prix fixe for $41 of most of the brunch items and it includes 2 Bellini, 2 mimosas, or 2 Bloody Marys. Good right? Welp what you don't know is that their cocktail menu is incredible so to heck with the prix fixe. We got mimosas at home!! Between the 10 of us we got cocktails, appetizers, entrees, desserts, coffee. Highlights: -Service was spectacular. Wesley was On It! By the time we finished eating there was another party of 10+ seated right behind us that he was servicing. I hope he enjoys the reward$ of his hard work! Make it rain on em Wesley! -Fat friendly seating. No arms, solid chairs, comfortable cushions. We were there for 4 hours and my booty was never sore. -Food. We tore it up and it was all delicious. My half of the table had the farm house breakfast sando, the fried chicken sando, French omelette, huevo rancheros. We shared the crab hush puppies, wings, calamari, goat cheese salad, and blueberry pancakes. I was nosey and saw that some of my other table mates ordered the skirt steak and eggs and the short rib. -Drinks. I know my husband loves mango so I suggested he get the smoked mango drink. I didn't know it came with theatrics. Dinner and a show?! Btw by the time our table was done almost everyone had ordered one. Lychee martini, Paloma, old fashioned, midnight espresso. Also all very good! -The View. Our party was too large to sit outside but we did sit right at the floor to ceiling windows. In between birthday wishes and food comas we watched the boats, jet skis, and undulating waves of the Hudson. Previous posters are correct - the place is pricey. But high key the people who live in that area are already paying a premium for everything else sooooo. Now, I DONT live in that area lmao so this will be a rarer treat for me. But I was happy to celebrate my cousin's birthday in a place that she loves. Awesome experience - I look forward to returning! 10/10 would put on a bra for this and walk downstairs lol

We had to crane our heads to get our orders taken, to find someone to give us our bill, and to ask about our order. We ordered a drink (the second drink was sold out and my friend was uninterested in other options) and two appetizers and the drink came first, followed by a twenty minute wait for calamari. The calamari was probably the thinnest squid in the ocean and looked like shoestring fries, but the sauce it came in was delicious. There were approximately three zucchini sticks and four peppers in the calamari, which is on par with many restaurants, but less bang for your buck. It eventually became clear after another 10 min wait that our truffle fries were nowhere to be seen, and since we had to leave for our dinner reservation soon we struggled to flag a server, who then told us that they never put in our fries order. How could I not love a place with the name, Scarlet Lounge?…read more It takes a lot to get me to venture to this part of town and I honestly cannot remember the last time I had a night out on the Upper West Side, but Scarlet has been on my list since I saw owner, Michael Imperioli's announcing the opening on Instagram. I found myself in the area on recent Friday evening and decided to meet up with two friends here. I was smitten at first sight of the beautifully-appointed room, with seductive red drapery and gold accents. All I wanted to do was curl up on one of the velvet chairs and spend my entire evening captivated by imagined past lives of this space... Dorothy Parker holding court here with her Vicious Circle, sipping on Gibsons and martinis. You're going to have a glorious time. We were welcomed by a dashing gentleman at the door who kindly found us seating in the sultry little nook by the piano. Our server never left us wanting for anything and believe me, we wanted it all. ONE BARTENDER FOR THE ENTIRE BAR -- READ BEFORE YOU GO:…read more I've never felt more gaslit by positive reviews in my life. The people calling this place "amazing" are either Sopranos fans, personally connected to management, or grading on an unbelievably generous curve. I have absolutely nothing to gain from distorting my experience. And judging by reviews like Benny R's below, I'm clearly not the only one saying this: if you go to The Scarlet, expect to wait forever, get ignored, and leave frustrated. And the worst part? It's not even a one-off bad night. I've been to The Scarlet multiple times, and every single visit has been the exact same mess: one bartender trying to run the entire place alone while customers sit around waiting endlessly for service. Last night (May 20), there were around 20-25 people in the bar between the tables and bar seats, and a single bartender was expected to do everything: make drinks, take orders, deliver cocktails to tables, clear space at the bar, all of it. Unsurprisingly, service moved at a glacial pace. My date and I were seated when we arrived and after waiting 30 minutes without anyone coming over, I finally had to walk up to the bar and order my own drink. It was deeply uncomfortable and unprofessional. Management charging $25 per cocktail while refusing to properly staff the place is ridiculous. If you're going to price drinks like a luxury lounge, at least operate like one. MEMO TO MANAGEMENT - stop being cheap and hire another bartender. Your customers are paying enough to deserve basic service.
