The location alone is worth the trip -- the view of the Midtown Manhattan skyline across the Hudson is stunning, especially as the sun goes down and the lights come on. This is our fourth time dining at West & Co., and we absolutely love it! Since we live in the area, it's become one of our favorite spots. The NYC views from the outdoor dining area are beautiful, and both the drinks and food are fantastic. Tonight, we enjoyed the French onion soup, Rockefeller oysters, and linguini with clams. Everything was delicious! And we couldn't leave without trying the lava cake for dessert--it was absolutely amazing! Our server, Matthew, was wonderful--very attentive, friendly, and had such a great attitude. Camila was also fantastic and attentive! My diet is often hard to accommodate and they were able to get me all I needed. This is a welcomed new restaurant to the neighborhood. We will go back and I highly suggest giving it a try. New restaurant in the neighborhood so came by for dinner on a weekend with no reservation. Thankfully there were plenty of tables (this was for a later dinner btw) so got seated right away. Service by the main gentleman for our table was great - He was super friendly, checked in occasionally and just all around well done. The rest of the team was fair. We ordered the roasted chicken and the burrata salad to share. The chicken was excellent and honestly blew away our expectations. Juicy, flavorful and overall lovely texture. The burrata salad was honestly not what we expected - it was more a seasoned burrata cheese with bread on the side. Flavor was good but didn't realize it'd be as small as it was. Ambiance is lovely - beautifully designed and great for an intimate dinner or even small groups. I'd say worth a try if looking for dinner in West New York, NJ. read more

Loved the location of the restaurant and the service! The outside seating is peaceful and the umbrellas provide enough shade to sit out and watch the sunset. I had the filet mignon and it was cooked medium rare and came with garlic mashed potatoes on the side. The seafood tower was nice, however for the price point I expected a little more variety with the oysters. The real highlight of the place is the drinks. New waterfront restaurant in Weehawken with delicious food, friendly service and million dollar views. Excited to give West & Co a try and they did not disappoint. My wife and I were in a casual mode and both ordered the prime rib sandwich on baguette which I would give 3.5 stars, very solid. Loved the thin shoestring fries too. My wife had a salad which she gave two thumbs up. We were about to leave when our waiter told us about their blueberry cobbler. So glad we stayed as it took our meal to the next level. The menu is mainly seafood, so we plan to return for a proper date night meal. The view is definitely the big draw and West & Co might just have the best setting in the entire Jersey Gold Coast. Service was another highlight. Our server couldn't have been more polite, attentive and friendly. Looking forward to becoming a regular here. read more

I heard they had just opened a new restaurant in the area, and since the location itself is already beautiful we definitely wanted to check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed how gorgeous the place is, the decor is impeccable!!! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. We decided to sit at the bar. We ordered wine, a couple of cocktails, and the wagyu tartare, which was absolutely delicious. We also tried a few more small plates, including a tuna salad that we really enjoyed. Everything tasted fresh and well done. Since it was already a bit late, we stuck to appetizers this time, but we'll definitely be back for the full dinner experience. I've been anticipating this restaurant's opening and I'm glad about its addition to the port imperial area. The drinks were really good, though they could add a few more varietal cocktails to the menu. I ordered a burger and it was cooked well and very filling. While I sat outside (which was really nice btw) when I went into the restaurant to use the restaurant I thought the decor was really nice. I plan to stop by again for the good drinks and hope they will get a happy hour going. read more

This review is based on my experience dining here 3x since the opening. I live in the area and was so excited that another restaurant option was available besides Son Cubano (absurdly overpriced and catering to a specific crowd). The entree options are extremely limited and overpriced. Yes, the customer base is upper middle class, however they need to keep in mind that majority work in NYC and have plenty of options that are stellar quality-wise and priced similar. I've tried many of the appetizers and entrees and nothing was outstanding and made me want to come back and order again. Also, their happy hour is not great. One time I ordered an espresso martini and was shocked that the serving size was a third of what a regular martini glass is. When I asked if this was the normal drink size, I was told this was their happy hour option. First of all, I'd rather pay a few more $ to get a regular sized drink. Happy hour does not mean you downsize the size of the drinks. Management needs to seriously re-evaluate their menu and happy hour menu. Every time I walk by this place is empty and at this rate they'll be out of business unless they turn things around. read more

Second time to dine at West &Co. beautiful decor and atmosphere inside and out. Stunning views of Manhattan. Service was excellent, although they appeared backed up in kitchen as we waited too long for our entrees. Food was good, not great. The menu is a bit too limited and there are no specials, which was disappointing. But my biggest complaint is the red wine temperature. It was very cold and the waiter admitted it was stored with the white wine. This is the second time. At our first visit, we just drank it and said nothing. But this time I sent the bottle back. He came back and said all the bottles were refrigerated at this temperature. Hope they get the wine right and maybe expand the menu a bit. read more

The space is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views of the NYC skyline and the Hudson River that really elevate the dining experience. I started with the Wagyu beef carpaccio, which was outstanding--perfectly prepared and full of flavor. For my main, I had the pork Milanese with an arugula salad, and it did not disappoint, I finished the entire plate! Crispy, well-balanced, and just really satisfying. Dessert was a s'mores-inspired dish that was just as delicious as everything else. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised--not just by the ambiance, but by how consistently good every dish was. Took my friend to West & Co for her birthday on a Friday at 1:30 pm. The restaurant is beautiful. Fantastic location by the Hudson River. Large, open space with high ceilings. A large patio for outdoor seating. The waiter was friendly and very nice but he failed to pick up on the reservation note about it being a birthday. I actually mentioned it to him when he came to check on us but there was no candle in the two desserts we ordered. ‍. Apart from this missed opportunity to impress, the service was good. Food was so so. My French dip was cold. My friend's salad with seared tuna was small. Frites were good. Blueberry cobbler was yummy. A neighborhood gem. Stopped in for lunch - 3 generations. We were not the only ones there with a baby, not unusual given the demographics of the area. They were quick to accommodate baby with a high chair, an 'appetizer' orange slice on request and a hearty serving of linguini with butter. Mom had the linguine with clams and they were both happy. She also had fresh succulent oysters. Gran had a well-prepared steak, perfectly medium and the baked potato side was plenty to share with baby and still take some home. The grand finale was the creme brulee, with a decadent custard topped with perfectly caramelized sugar and a finely sliced strawberry (which baby also enjoyed). WARNING! I would highly recommend that you SKIP THIS PLACE. From the outside it looks pretty appealing. BUT!!! You should really ONLY stand in front of this spot and enjoy the beautiful views of Manhattan, because sitting down to eat here will be a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! We ordered the burger which came with fries along with a side of asparagus and an espresso martini. The burger was tiny, the size and quality of any typical fast food dive and was $25.00, the fries which came with the burger were again fast food dive quality that they charge $13.00 when ordered as a separate item. Ridiculous. The asparagus which was average at best was an additional $15. The martini was seriously TERRIBLE and as an added bonus as an extra layer on top of the poor quality and embarrassing portions they served us a sad little piece of bread sliced into 4 very small pieces and when we requested additional bread our waitress let us know there would be an additional charge. So for 1 crappy less than average small burger w/ fries, 1 side and a shitty poorly made martini we paid $75 in Edgewater, NJ. I've lived in Hoboken for many many years and have been to most of the restaurants in the area along the waterfront. This was the first AND LAST time I will be throwing money away at this overpriced completely underwhelming ripoff. Seriously, there are so many fantastic options along the Hudson you should just keep it moving when considering Worst and Co. This place was an EPIC FAIL!
