Our group of twelve showed up without a reservation, yet the staff was incredibly accommodating and quickly arranged outdoor seating for all of us. We ordered margaritas, red and white wine, spritzers, and frosé. Every drink was excellent, and Happy Hour made it even better. We only ordered fries since we were mainly there for drinks, but the service truly made the visit stand out. The young women who took care of our table were patient, friendly, and very attentive. My sis and I came here for a quick bite and were pleasantly surprised at the happy hour and food specials. $6 espresso martinis and a $12 smash burger lunch special, so for $20 you can have quite a nice little lunch. The servers were great and checked in regularly to make sure we were good. We also appreciated what I think was the manager watching our drinks because at $6 a martini we had to have one more, yes, they were that good. We stood for maybe 2.5 hrs and left so happy with a full belly and new memories created. Definitely a cute little spot for a solo quick bite, a nice little date night that's more on the casual side, or coming with a group of friends. While we came here for lunch during the week they did have other great food options available and weekend specials if that's something of interest. Classic CBS gathering spot - large space and not too expensive drinks make it an ideal spot for a bunch of MBA students. They also have food options, though I've only had their finger foods, which were all pretty solid. They also have a bunch of TVs and two separate bar areas, which makes it great if you're trying to catch a sporting event or want to celebrate with a large gathering. I also had a black beans fajita burger with side salad that I did not like at all, the black bean patty was just mushy and tasteless. The salad was good. This spot has become a Wednesday night go-to for my friends and I! We love coming for trivia at 7:30PM. They do 4 rounds of trivia and the questions are different every week. The trivia host was great and kept the night moving! They give out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes and shots for the team with the most creative name! I had Grilled Chicken Gruyere Bourbon Onions, Smoked Bacon, Arugula, Horseradish Garlic Aioli, on Baguette. I got the sauce on the side. I got sweet potatoes fries as well. Both were good. I absolutely LOVED my experience at amity hall! I recently moved to the upper west side and this was the first real bar experience I've had since moving. I will definitely be coming back here again! The drink was strong and delicious. I ordered the con-fusion, but all of the drinks on the menu looked wonderful so it was really hard for me to decide. My husband loved his beer as well. The ambiance is loud and fun. I had arrived right after a weekly trivia night concluded. It seems like there are a lot of fun events there during the week and bottomless brunch on weekends. Pulled up here with the my boy on 5/3/14 to watch the Knicks close out the Sixers in the offs (Go Knicks, loud clap) This is a cool little local spot that seems to be popular with the Ivy League students in the area. The bartender, who's name I didn't catch, was stretched a little thin, took a while to get his attention at times but he did a good job with the drinks. I was downing margaritas and they were made well, the amount of strong I need. We got chicken nachos and buffalo wings. The nachos were pretty good, they came with a chipotle lime crema. The wings were better, tasty but not super crunchy like I like. The decor was the exposed brick aesthetic, I like it. Thankful that they let a single person set at a four top at the window when the place was completely empty. So I've been popping into Amity hall upon my return home to the upper west side. This is a nice high end tavern. There's an element of control and emphasis on service that is exemplary. Now, I've mostly been an early evening and game day patron. I can't speak to the Saturday night crowd but it looks off the hook! The menu is great and the portions are very nice. Great cocktails and of course their beer selection is second to none. Everyone and I mean everyone I've interacted with from bartenders, waitstaff and managers are working hard to make your visit there one that you'll want to repeat many times. I was in NY for a quick weekend getaway and went here for brunch yesterday. Multiple screens. Sports bar. $25 for standard all you can drink. $30 for premium. Drinks were alright but let's get into the food. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and the food portions were generous and shareable. Everything we ordered was shared amongst 3 people. Pork nachos were the best that I've had in a long time. Jalapeños, beans, cheese!!! Yummmm!! Need I say more?? Buffalo wings were good and the biscuits were an experience. The jam was a mixed Berry compote which translates to crunchy- wasn't expecting that but it was tasty. My all time favorite app was Shishito peppers. Not spicy but well made. The only entree we ordered was the Fluffy buttermilk biscuits and gravy. Not bad. Overall, customer service was quick, attentive and patient. Food was good. (Last visited 3/7/2021.) Just spending the weekend in New York City because we love it here and it's time for a Sunday brunch! We came here once and loved it so much that we've made 2 more visits after the first one in October of 2020. Now I'm going to tell you why! Atmosphere/Appearance: Right on the corner of 108th Street and Amsterdam is this gem. Of course it's in Manhattan so there is no private parking lot so good luck with street parking or finding a structure, but... street parking is free on Sundays around the city. Once inside I get a very upscale, modern, tavern-like vibe. There's loads of outdoor seating, exposed brick and the inside is very, very big for a New York City restaurant. We came for brunch all 3 times and it was so much fun. The music was right. The crowd was awesome and it was just a great place to be. Service: Axel was AWESOME! He took care of us the 1st and 3rd visits. He was just fun, uplifting, energetic and just the kind of person we needed for a great Sunday brunch, especially when NYC was crawling out of the depths of its COVID-19 shutdown. Maria took care of us on the 2nd visit, but compared to Axel... we just missed Axel. Lol. Food: So I started my brunch off with the Wild Mushroom scramble which is a concoction of wild mushrooms, gruyere cheese, fresh herbs then served with country potatoes and multigrain toast. It was very fresh, delicious and not too salty. The portion was a bit small for me though, but no matter. After hanging out drinking bottomless mimosas for a bit we then ordered some grilled wings! If you know me, you know I have a weakness for wings, but an even bigger weakness for wings that are NOT fried. I'm always looking to explore the menus of restaurants who are brave enough and confident enough to cook their wings in better ways other than frying. The wings come in a small (8 piece) and a large (16 piece). We got the large with Buffalo sauce on the side. They were SO good. Great size, tender and full of natural flavors. I loved them. On my most recent visit I did try out the Southwest Chicken Bowl which is a bowl of charred corn, black beans, queso fresco, teardrop tomatoes, crispy tortilla strips, avocado ranch and you get a choice of basmati rice or baby greens. I chose the baby greens to be healthier. Again, the bowl of delicious, full of flavor and put together perfectly, but... not filling. So... we got more wings. Lol. Value: The mushroom scramble was $15.00 and if you're a normal-sized person, I'm sure it would've been enough food. Lol. The bottomless mimosas are $19.95 and you get to rotate between mimosas, Bloody Marys and whatever seasonal cocktails are available. For $24.95 you can rotate between mimosas, Bloody Marys, seasonal sangria, margaritas, tecate and Narragansett. I don't even know what those last couple of things are, so the $19.95 is just fine for me. Lol. You get 90 minutes to indulge as much as you can for either option. The 8-piece wing order is $13.00 and the 16-piece is $24.00. My southwestern chicken bowl was $16.00. The food here is decently priced and absolutely worth it. Come read to spend though. Overall this was an enjoyable Sunday Brunch experience. One thing to note is that the place doesn't take brunch reservations on Sundays (At least when it's football sunday). The place is also VERY loud, so be prepared to have to yell across the table. The service was good, but it did take a while for the food to come out (which makes sense given the number of people there). The portions are smaller than what I expected (or maybe just normal size in comparison to being overfed at other restaurants). The "side of biscuts" only came with two and they didn't taste that flavorful. The people at my table got the French Toast, Egg Scramble, Burger and fries, and the Caprese sandwich. We ordered some nachos and buffalo wings to-go to watch the Super Bowl. The servings were definitely larger than we expected, which was a nice surprise! The wings were definitely a classic, and my boyfriend tore through them. Although we had made specific requests for the nachos, mainly to have the sour cream and cheese on the side since we're not the biggest fans of either, both were heavily on top of our nachos. Despite that, they were pretty decent, although they don't do the best in takeout style.
