We were never bothered by anyone as long as we remained quiet during the late hours. Beach Access 11 is easy to reach but can get crowded, especially during the morning and evening hours, particularly during spring break when many people are enjoying the beach. The best time to visit is early morning when it's less crowded. If you want to avoid the crowds, it's best to go at night when hardly anyone is around; I recommend it. Keep in mind that this beach access is next to houses, so parking will likely be difficult if you don't arrive early.

Ha ha - it's so pretty though! My only regret is not coming here sooner during our trip. I will definitely return as I really liked the location in general. I will have to reserve BLINDLY for next year and be content with whatever site we get shaded or not. Looks like she had a bad night and hope that Karma comes around, it wasn't like we were going to sneak in and spend the night in the car when we were staying in Topsail which I am almost sure is better than this other one. While my family of 8 was staying at the tidewater condo through Vrbo and Panhandle Getaways, we…read morewere wrongly accused of throwing ice off our balcony and subsequently evicted. As soon as security showed up at my door I began texting panhandle getaways to let them know about the situation and that we were being accused of something we didnt do. They said they have no control over security and we need to go to the front desk. Security left and i thought that was the end of it. But im down on the beach and I get a call from the room stating the police are there and were getting evicted. So I again text panhandle and they again shun responsibility saying there is nothing they can do. I asked who do i need to contact then and they couldn't even give me a name and phone number. Ultimately, we get evicted and I speak with Joe on the phone who wasnt really interested in helping me as he wouldn't let me get a word in, but he proudly stated that they don't give refunds if you get evicted and then had the gall to ask me 'did you even read the rental agreement?'. Thats when I had to educate Joe about wrongful eviction and how im going to sue the people responsible for this, to which he hung up on me. The following texts are Panhandle Getaways responses in text: 1) Security there does not work for us. You will need to see the front desk 2) These are not our employees. We are not able to assist. We do not know who any of those employees are 3) I am sorry but we do not maintain the property or the security staff. We only manage your room. 4) The front desk is the only group that can assist in this matter, as we do not employ anyone at that location. You can get the HOA information from there as well 5) Unfortunately there are no refunds if you are evicted. That is stated in the rental agreement. We cannot override that at all 6) '...My name is Joe and I am the manager in the evening. I just arrived and was advised that the resort itself evicted you. We have to follow what they say. There is nothing that we can do at this point. Sorry that this happened but our hands are tied' After speaking with Joe on the phone, look at how his tone changed: 'We do not refund anything when someone is evicted. Now if there is information that you can provide that shows you were wrongully evicted, then I can give that to our operations manager and that would be a different story' Now, all of the sudden he recognizes that there just might be a little bit of an issue as he is now backtracked and realizes they are responsible for a wrongful eviction. If you read this far, understand that this is how youre going to get treated by Panhandle Getaways if any type of problem arises that they arent ready for. They just cut and run. The rooms and stuff were good, clean, etc, but I paid panhandle getaways my money and they are responsible for ensuring I enjoyed the use of the condo for the duration of the contract. So, stay at your own risk and hope you dont need something they can't handle because theyre going to tell you they arent responsible and then try to blame you for not reading the contract.

Barges and boats will dock here and there is frequently a concession boat since the island has no amenities. A little walk towards the gulf will bring you midway to a "kiddie pool" safe for kids to swim and play in or adults to relax. The water is truly great in both those spots. The gulf here is absolutely beautiful. There are small intact and crushed shells on the beach line and in the water about knee deep there are medium shells if you dig around. Waist deep are where the large shells are. There are plenty of these but you have to work for them. Bring goggles, flippers, etc. and it will be easy. We went on a day when the jelly larva were swarming so we stayed knee deep and still enjoyed ourselves and got a few good shells. If there had been no jellies we could have found A LOT more and bigger ones for sure. The further you walk down the gulf side the more secluded you will be. Get there on first boat out!

The boat also had battery issues as well if my dad had not had prior boat experience we would have been stranded. As much money as these are you would think they would be in pristine condition.
