I am 3 years late in writing this amendments to my prior review. After, I would say 2-3 years of being a patient here. I was told that they were opening an additional office. Then (even though I had an appointment with Dr Chang) I was switched to an Indian Dr, who had substandard equipment in the same office. She inspected my teeth (after my cleaning) and then proceeded to insert 2 hands to stretch my mouth out. (Never in my many decades of seeing dentists has this been a protocol) She said it was to inspect my gums. That was my first and last appointment with her and Waterview dentistry . I asked when Dr. Chang would be in and they were very vague about it, saying he comes in and they don't know when he will be in the office. I did my research into highly rated dentists. I do not want to be paying for substandard care. Will NOT be going back there ever. read more

My prior dentist is/ was fine. No complaints. But, I went to Waterview for a teeth clean with Hygienist, Pat and discovered an entirely different experience and so happy with it. Dr Bandal was clear and concise without being abrupt. The hygienist was efficient all the while being gentle. She checked often if she was hurting me. read more

That moment ... when you realize you found the best dentist EVER!! What made us change from our old dentist to Waterview Dentistry? It's difficult to understand HOW to set the bar when there is no way to compare dentists. Like many of you, we thought we were in the right place. We dedicated 10+ years to our "old" dentist thinking we were getting excellent care. Swinging in and out of their office for annual cleanings didn't make us think twice about making a change. But, when I had a crown that cracked, and I did not get the attention I deserved, I was furious. This was the lesson that told us we were in the wrong place. Long story short, a crown cracked at the base of my gum. My "old" dentist applied a thin porcelain cover (not a temp tooth) that was barely glued on. It kept falling off leaving that tooth vulnerable. I experienced horrible pain for over 3 months during my birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years' --- while waiting for the new crown to come in. Evidently, the holidays delayed the production of that $500.00 crown. Meanwhile, getting emergency appointments during that timeline was not their thing. In the end, the tooth became fractured (not repairable with a root canal) and I had to have the tooth extracted plus a titanium implant and a new tooth that cost me over 4k. My "old" dentist did not care what happened to me. My periodontist said it never should have happened! He recommended Dr. Chang. Going to a new dentist is EXTREMELY STRESSFUL, but we had to make the change. Our first impression of Waterview Dentistry was Vee. She answers the phone, makes the appointments, answers any questions you may have (or get back to you with an answer), files your insurance, puts out fires, and holds your hand while balancing a 10-gallon hat. This lady is amazing!!! From beginning to end, we have appreciated her immensely. In the first appointment, Dr. Chang likes to have the most current information. You think you are getting traditional scans but when Dr. Chang comes in to talk to you about your teeth, you are blown away with the technology he uses to look closely at your mouth. When he tells you what's going on, you cant rebut what needs to be done. Dr. Chang is knowledgeable, passionate, and very sensitive if you have anxiety. He spent time with both of us, individually, going over our history, getting to know us, and talked in-depth about our teeth. It was devastating to learn that our "old" dentist did not catch a lot of issues that should have been taken care of a long time ago. Dr. Chang was able to show us 'proof' of fillings that had fallen out, fillings that needed to be done, and gave us advice on how to deal with issues coming in the near future. Over the course of the next two weeks (my daughter and I) got our teeth cleaned, six fillings, rebuilt a tooth, a retainer adjusted, and six sealants. His entire staff was accommodating and sensitive every step of the way! How does Waterview Dentistry respond to emergencies? Case and point. My daughter has Lupus, Fibro & RA that often make her oversensitive to almost everything. Dr. Chang was knowledgeable about her disabilities and with compassion, he gave her extra breaks to soothe her anxiety and additional numbing for her fillings. It was important to him that she was comfortable. A few hours later, she did have an allergic reaction to the injection sites. Dr. Chang's office squeezed us in the next morning and helped her work through those problems. Vee called the following day to see if she was ok. It was a relief to learn that Waterview responds to emergencies this way (plus they are open on Saturdays). We were so appreciative! Like I said, that moment ... when you realize you found the best dentist EVER!! If you're looking for a new dentist, don't hesitate to try Dr. Chang. Our entire family of 5 plus grandma receives dental care at Waterview Dentistry. Dr Bansal and her staff are wonderfully patient and professional. Every treatment/visit ends with "call if you're having any trouble" and she and her staff mean it. We transitioned our children from a pediatric dentist to Waterview and have no regrets. I had the best experience today at Waterview Dentistry. Every person I encountered was extremely friendly and warm starting at the reception desk. As someone that is a complete baby at the dentist, I felt completely at ease. Amy did my cleaning, and she is such a gentle, kind person. She always makes me laugh and takes my mind off the cleaning. I have to knock Dr. Chang's office down two pegs for changing their core hours of business. I don't know about other clients but I drove from pretty far out of my way (Addison) to still go to this office because I love the staff. But recently they changed their late appointment availability during the week- now the latest appointment you can get on a weekday is 5pm, which means I have to leave work early to get there in time for a late appointment. Their office doesn't open until 9am which means I'd be at least 2+ hours late getting to work if I scheduled an appointment first thing in the morning. And now they try and sell you the convenience of their Saturday office hours like that's how anybody wants to spend their Saturday- at the dentist! I will likely stop going to Dr. Chang just for this reason, which makes me really sad. read more

This was my first time at this place and I had a good experience. Getting an appointment was fairly smooth and despite being a new patient, it was not too difficult. The check in process was easy. As a new patient, they took x-ray of every single tooth and made sure it was well analyzed. Dr Chang is a very detailed person and his explanation was very thorough - the best thing was that he uses sports and real life metaphors to explain complex medical terms! The staff is very friendly. They are very cognizant of what the insurance benefits and make sure to suggest the treatment options that wont be too expensive and also take your health into account. They are not very pushy in suggesting treatment options which many other dentist offices do. The facility looks very new and is well maintained. I highly recommend this place. read more

We love Waterview Dentistry. The staff have always been very friendly and we've always had positive experiences here. They explain any treatments needed and make sure you understand. Dr Chang is great and easy to talk to. I've never felt pressured or uncomfortable in speaking to him about dental concerns. This office is pretty far out of the way for us but we feel like it's more than worth it for the service and treatment we've received. Brenda, in the front office, is always very willing to help reschedule if needed and explain anything we have questions about. Always super care from the staff and Dr. Chang. Annalise (I'm sorry if I spelled your name wrong) is ALWAYS, and I mean always friendly and very personable. She tells you what she is doing and why she's doing it very calmly. Mistry was also very profession when I had my teeth cleaned by her last year. Dr Chang always provides great education on why I need certain things done and what can be watched ( w visuals too!) And what preventative measures I can do at home. His technique and technology is high quality. I love (and hate) seeing the dental photos when they check your teeth... I cracked my perm crown from clenching my teeth too hard and he made sure the replacement was more durable quality to sustain the pressure. They take great pride in cleanliness of the office as well as additional precautions during these COVID times. Vi makes sure of that as well as going over insurance issues with you before and after care. Plus, amazing penmanship! Oh just to show you how amazing they are, before covid, I had to bring my 6months old son w me so I could get my teeth cleaned.
