To make a long story short: One year ago at the Eldorado location the dentist told me that I had 8 severe cavities that had to be filled very soon or else I would need root canal. I went for a second opinion today and learned that I have ZERO cavities and my teeth and in great condition. Ok, now here's the whole story below. I was given free xrays and a cleaning in exchange for a good review. I gave them a good review that was genuine at the time because they were all so nice and accommodating of my dental fear. When I went in, I was trembling and choking up while I was trying to explain that I had traumatic dental experiences as a child. Over and over I thanked them for helping me for free as I had no insurance and hadn't been to a dentist in four years because of it. While they cleaned and examined my teeth, I calmly cried throughout most of the procedure. The dentist came in and told me I had EIGHT severe cavities. I almost fainted. I was clearly trying to not hyperventilate as he explained the news to me. He told me I needed to get them filled soon or I would need root canal. He told me that I MUST come back no later than six months and maybe I wouldn't need root canal. One year, multiple therapy sessions, panic attacks, and night terrors later, my therapist finally convinced me to go back to the dentist and get a second opinion if she came with me. She recommended a dentist she trusted and sure enough, I have NO CAVITIES. I wept with relief. This experience has caused me a lot of emotional pain and has only deepened my fear of the dentist. My friend also went there and was told that she had 9 cavities. She recently went to another dentist to learn that she also had NO CAVITIES. Suspiciously, all of his office staff was comforting me by telling me that they have tons of cavities too. This dentist is a villain. Warn your friends and loved ones who go here. If they tell you you need work done, get a second opinion. read more

I will shamelessly admit that it has been XX amount of years since I have last seen a dentist. I've read reviews on Facebook and on Yelp on Dr. Nguyen and decided to make an appointment with him. By far the best care I have ever received in any health care setting. Period. He was EXTREMELY patient and explained every single procedure step by step prior to starting and made sure I understood what was going on and answered questions that I had (which was a few handful). Dr. Nguyen and Jacob King were both excellent. Jacob King did a great job taking care of me at the front desk and keeping the office organized. Dr. Nguyen is an excellent dentist and is detailed minded. He's careful and he treated me with respect. He truly knows what he is doing and I like that I can see his experience through his work. He took care of me and my wife -- and it was nice that we could go to the same place together. The front desk was able to make me a next day appointment and I didn't have to wait much at all. The iPads in the waiting room were pretty cool to play with and it was nice that they had bottled water for me to enjoy and cool off from the Texas heat. My daughter who was three was able to watch the movie Frozen as I got a teeth cleaning. It kept her entertained and happy. All of the staff members and dental hygienists worked at top notch. I originally discovered Arte Dental in McKinney through an advertisement for Invisalign. The promotion was way better than anything I'd ever seen, and I actually brought it to my dentist at the time and asked if he would price match. He refused and thus began my journey. Not only was I impressed by the experience, results, and price of my Invisalign treatment, I was extremely happy with the level of customer service, attention to detail, and genuine care for my comfort and health shown by every member of the staff. I had such a wonderful experience that I switched from my long time dentist to this office for all my dental needs, and haven't looked back. I know that when I go I will be treated with respect and there won't be hidden costs that show up in bills sent to my house later. Dr. Nguyen and his staff are AMAZING! Dr. Nguyen and Jacob King are the best people to work with. I've been to several dentists before and there is no comparison between them and Dr. Nguyen. The office staff is always happy to help. They actually treats you as a customer and not a number or a dollar sign. The whole experience is relaxing from start to end. I started off with a basic cleaning at their office. I immediately knew after my cleaning that I would come back for other dental needs. I've had deep cleanings, regular cleanings, wisdom teeth removal, and invisalign performed by Dr. Nguyen and his staff. I absolutely love this place and would highly recommend them to everyone. Recently visited for myself and my 3 kids for checkups and then later a same day emergency appointment for myself, and a couple of follow up appointments for specific treatment. Staff were welcoming and friendly, office was modern and clean, Dr N took time to explain exactly what was going on with mine and my children's teeth and explain all options. He was even able to work with my nervous son who wanted to try something different and it went better than any of us expected! Worked with my choices, and did great quality work. I also loved the 'ipad' room where my kids were happy to play and wait for their appointments and they liked to be able to watch a movie during their time in the 'chair'. I am a new patient and was very impressed with the high technology, professionalism and knowledge of the caring staff I encountered at Arte Dental. I've recently been super concerned about the mouthful of crowns I have had for 15 years. These crowns survived double jaw surgery and orthodontics following the surgery 3 years ago. I found the exam by the hygienist to be very informative as she pointed out places of bone loss. I was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis and had a lot of questions. Dr. Nguyen was very reassuring, honest and conservative in his approach of outlining options for dealing with the problem. Where can I start.... My whole family has been going to them for more then two years now. We started off at their Dallas one and have followed since to their Mckinney one. (which is gorgeous inside!) They have very caring loving dentists! And their staff, talk about the nicest people ever. They make you feel at home and at ease. For someone like me and my kids who are dentist shy, they make us all feel very comfortable at all times. They have made my kids enjoy coming to a dentist again. These guys are super great. The office staff is friendly and helpful; and Dr. Nyugen is an incredibly thorough dentist. He is very knowledgeable, and I love that he takes time to explain things to me. I don't feel rushed, and I love that he "teaches" his patients. The office is equipped with amazing technology, which makes treatment and diagnosis much easier. I also appreciate that this practice endeavors to make dentistry affordable. Thank you. For someone without dental insurance, it is often challenging to find a provider who does not gouge his/her patients. I came in today as a new patient, and I would have to say it was close perfect. It was super clean, the front desk ladies were professional and friendly, answered all my questions. I didn't have to wait long either(10 min maybe), which is huge for me, no one likes to wait 30-45 min just to get taken to a room. I got to watch a movie while I had my x-rays done, Finding Nemo was my choice! Dr. Nguyen couldn't have done a better job. I'm such a baby about going to a dentist, but he made me feel comfortable, relaxed and able to enjoy my experience, instead of hating every minute. My experience at Arte Dental in Mckinney, was the best experience thus far at any dental office. I have been to other dentist offices in the area, but did not get the same level of treatment. The Dentist here is super nice, explains treatment if any that needs to be done. He does not recommend treatments unless you absolutely need them. Which for me is a breathe of fresh air. I have been told several times prior by other dentists, I need a root canal on a tooth that does not bother me or give me any trouble. However, the dentist at Arte Dental stated I do not need a root canal, rather a crown would be just fine at some point. The dental assistant that cleaned my teeth was extremely gentle and sweet. Best thing I did-- switching from my previous dentist to Arte Dental. Arte Dental will not recommend any dental work or push any expense unless absolutely needed; doctors are very mindful and conservative and know their craft. Today, I had my maintenance visit and I was taken aback that Dr. Joung did my cleaning as opposed to a dental technician. With my previous dental office, I only saw my dentist at the end of my cleaning so he can sign off on the technician's work. Arte dental is 5 min from my house, so very convenient to get to. They are fast to get you out of the waiting room and they are very efficient with their time & yours, especially in the afternoon. They are friendly, flexible and very accommodating. The structure they perform by is the best I've seen in a while. Their chairs even operate as massage chairs if you like and they a series of movies and Netflix to choose from so you're not bored. They check on you every few minutes and provide blankets if you get cold. The bedside manner there is excellent. The assistant who cleaned my teeth was Cara. She was AWESOME!! Another GREAT experience with Dr. Nguyen & staff. I used to be terrified to go to the dentist & now I look forward to it. Dr. Nguyen always comes in & greets me & all his staff are very friendly & helpful. He is always upfront & honest about whats going on & explains things so you can understand it. I cannot say enough good things about Arte Dental. I have been using Dr. Nguyen now for about 3 years. I needed a new dentist when I moved to MCKinney and I feel I hit the "jackpot." I love the staff at this office. I am have always had an slight fear of the dentist office ( not sure why? ) but when I needed some work done I am glad I took a friend's advice and went to Dr. Nguyen. During my procedure my comfort was the staff's #1 concern. Dr. Nguyen kept communicating with me the entire time to make me feel more comfortable which made the world of difference to me. After relocating to Mckinney from the Houston area, I was dreading having to find a new dentist. Dental visits always make me anxious, and I have sensitive teeth.
