I had a really bad experience here last year. They were in my network but charged extra for EVERYTHING. I ended up having to pay out of pocket for the entire thing. They scheduled me towards lunch time, so the doctor decided not to finish one of my cavities because "it wasn't that bad" and told me to just take extra care of it. I asked they didn't use Novocain and still got charged for it and I'm pretty sure other things. The people in general are nice enough, but still very unprofessional. read more

I have generally had a great experience with this dental office; however, my visit on 3/19 was extremely disappointing. During my procedure, while I was still in the dental chair, the office manager entered the open treatment area and began discussing my past-due bill in a loud voice. There were other patients nearby, and I am certain my private information was overheard. This situation was both unprofessional and unacceptable. I have never felt so humiliated during a medical visit. I had to ask her to stop and let her know I would speak with her after my procedure. I also requested to speak with management or the owner regarding this matter, but I have not received a response. Due to this experience, I have made the difficult decision not to return to this location and will be taking my business elsewhere. I absolutely love this place. I first went to Arte Dental in May because my dentist of ten years was closed during the Covid 19 pandemic. I had lost a crown and was in terrible pain. Arte dental got me in right away. Everyone that works here is amazing. Super nice and professional. They have all the latest technology from flat screens all over the place to keep you entertained while having work done to Cat scans to make a digital image of your mouth. They make a mold of your mouth right there so they know they are making a custom fit crown just for you. And also these guards to go in your mouth so the dentist can easily do work without drilling too far. I highly recommend going to Arte dental. No one enjoys going to the dentist but these people make it a lot less painful. read more

My first visit was last year for just a regular dental cleaning and ended up getting some interesting news and Dr. Nguyen was easy to talk with about what he found. After my first appointment with Arte Dental, I could tell that the people in this place really care. April, the dental assistant, is so chill and easy to talk with. My hygienist, Amanda, is awesome, my teeth have never felt so good after a cleaning. She doesn't lecture me about flossing, just reminds me to start to it nightly to get back into a good habit. Normally when you think of the dentist, you dread it. Not here, I actually look forward to my visits because when they need to address something with me, it's not in a negative way. I'm a big whimp when it comes to the dentist. The folks at Arte made me very comfortable, the shots administered were not overly painful. I like being able to watch movies and drown out the procedures, typically I just wear head phones. The staff explained all of the procedures ahead of time and were very friendly. This office does not understand what customer service is. Dental assistants and the office manager Jacob King were amazing, but one the receptionists have an attitude problem. The dentist told me I could not be helped, instead of being straight up. It was obvious to me he did not want my business. As I understand it, the receptionist was offended because I ask for sanitizer, and to lower the TV volume, and apparently complaint to the Doctor, who in turn talk down to me in a very condescending way, and told me there was no options for my treatment. Since then I have got quotes for treatment in another office. In my 54 years I have never experience such an unprofessional doctor or dental office. With so many dental offices in the McKinney area. I've been to multiple dental offices throughout my adulthood, and this is the best office I've been to! All of the staff seem pleasant, very happy to be working and helping customers. The office is clean, modern, and has a welcoming feel. I think this is important for people who have a fear or nervousness about going to the dentist. Also there are movies and music available to help customers relax during their visit. The dentist and staff are gentle. They checked multiple times to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain. To make a long story short: One year ago at the Eldorado location the dentist told me that I had 8 severe cavities that had to be filled very soon or else I would need root canal. I went for a second opinion today and learned that I have ZERO cavities and my teeth and in great condition. Ok, now here's the whole story below. I was given free xrays and a cleaning in exchange for a good review. I gave them a good review that was genuine at the time because they were all so nice and accommodating of my dental fear. When I went in, I was trembling and choking up while I was trying to explain that I had traumatic dental experiences as a child. Over and over I thanked them for helping me for free as I had no insurance and hadn't been to a dentist in four years because of it. While they cleaned and examined my teeth, I calmly cried throughout most of the procedure. The dentist came in and told me I had EIGHT severe cavities. I almost fainted. I was clearly trying to not hyperventilate as he explained the news to me. He told me I needed to get them filled soon or I would need root canal. He told me that I MUST come back no later than six months and maybe I wouldn't need root canal. One year, multiple therapy sessions, panic attacks, and night terrors later, my therapist finally convinced me to go back to the dentist and get a second opinion if she came with me. She recommended a dentist she trusted and sure enough, I have NO CAVITIES. I wept with relief. This experience has caused me a lot of emotional pain and has only deepened my fear of the dentist. My friend also went there and was told that she had 9 cavities. She recently went to another dentist to learn that she also had NO CAVITIES. Suspiciously, all of his office staff was comforting me by telling me that they have tons of cavities too. This dentist is a villain. Warn your friends and loved ones who go here. If they tell you you need work done, get a second opinion. read more

Brought my kids in for exams, cavity repairs and got myself up to date on my cleaning. Felt good about this place. Their prices are reasonable, the welcome staff is professional and helpful, doctors and hygienist are professional and gave me good suggestions for some cosmetic work I need to get done. Even for the cosmetic work, the prices were very reasonable and I've seen 3 dentists. I never felt like they were trying to get one over on me, like so many dentists office. I can't stand going to the dentist, but these folks really did a good job with me. We rescheduled for 6 months from now. I felt comfortable with him and he set my mind at ease on all the issues that we discussed. Great dentist open on Saturdays! The office is in the strip mall next to a restaurant but don't let that scare you - inside it's gorgeous and very relaxing. There are TVs on the ceiling of the rooms so you can watch while they work. Any work that needs to be done can all be worked into one appointment, which is super convenient, and the dentists actually take time with you during your initial exam, looking at the X-rays and examining your teeth thoroughly. Twice I have gone to this dentist for my kids and twice they have let me down. The first time they had us waiting for over two hours after their appt time before they received their service. The second time, after still waiting 22 minutes after the appt time, I was told it may be able 15 more minutes, which would have made my first son's appt 37 minutes late and my second son's appt 7 minutes late. Then at least an hour for the exam and cleaning. So by that time, I would have been there over two hours... again. After confirming I would not be charged for canceling the appts by the front desk staff, I canceled the appointments and left. Here's a suggestion to your front office when you know you all are running behind schedule- when patients check in, let them know you're running a little behind and give them the option of waiting however many estimated minutes or rescheduling the appt. That way patients will have the CHOICE of waiting to be seen or not. This is the last time I will waste my valuable time at this establishment. When I was young... you would go to the Dentist and they would back a donkey up to you that would kick you in the face to knock you out. The team at Arde friendly and professional. What really makes this dental office so great is Jordan at the front! She is the person who coordinates a lot of the logistics and payments with people and her bedside manner is so friendly, inviting, and genuine. Dr. Joung himself is great too and good at what he does. I heard about this place from a coupon I got in the mail for a $49 cleaning and $3,000 Invisalign (really great prices). I went in for my cleaning and after discussing with the doctor, decided to get my wisdom teeth out as well. I was able to schedule an appointment for the next week. Doctor Joung removed my teeth and scanned me for Invisalign the same day. I was healed within a week! Later, I had some concerns about the Invisalign and Jordan spent nearly half an hour on the phone with me answering all my questions! I hope they keep up the great work as the office becomes more established and I look forward to continuing working with them. read more

I've had horrible experiences with dentists in the past from cost/insurance issues due to lack of details from the staff to terrible customer experience. This place is amazing! The administrative staff at the front are very professional and extremely thorough on all of the paperwork needed to ensure insurance coverage is done correctly and accurately. The dental hygienist and the doc were so gentle and provided a full explanation in English (not crazy medical terms us regular folks don't understand).
