Our server was super friendly and helpful, and if we were in the mood for a pizza, he recommended The G.O.A.T. ("Monforte chevre, Kasseri, charred green peppers, arugula-walnut pesto, house pickled hot jalapenos, honey, everything bagel crust"), so that's exactly what we got. It's a great pizza. I was a little taken aback by the sweetness on my first bite, but as I kept eating, I discovered that the various toppings all worked really well together. I had intended to just have a slice and take the rest home, but it was so delicious we wiped the whole thing out. We also grabbed a couple of cocktails and they were terrific, too. Bar Neon rocks.

This time, I recently dined at Salt Wine Bar with a friend where we tried their Summerlicious menu (priced at $55). We made reservations just in case although during our time there, there were empty tables available for walk ins as well. Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff who led us to a table. Staff were able to give me a wine recommendation based on the type of preferred wine I like drinking. My friend got a mocktail based on their preference for either a sweet or sour mocktail. Food wise, we ordered the following items. We were able to share the appetizers and desserts. - Steak tartare (AAA Ontario beef, caper, quail yolk, white anchovy aioli, chive, grilled sourdough) - Iberian pork pate (chorizo spice, gundilla peppers, grilled sourdough, sea salt) - Seafood risotto (lobsters, prawns, calamari, peas, cherry tomatoes, saffron rice) - Dulce de leche ice cream (pecan crumble, maldon salt) - Madagascar vanilla bean creme brulee (blueberry compote) The pork pate was great - creamy, light, and smooth. It was great over the grilled sourdough and the peppers added some spice and the pickled peppers refreshed our palettes. The steak tartare was decent - the beef was cut to a good size and the anchovy aioli added extra umami to the dish. The seafood risotto was great - there were pieces of lobster, prawns, and calamari throughout and the rice was cooked slightly al dente. The dish was filling and came out hot, which was much appreciated. Lastly, the desserts were nice - the ice cream was sweet but then you got hints of saltiness from the salt throughout. The sweet and salty combination with the pecan crumble was great. The creme brulee was good as well. Overall, a great Summerlicious meal! The food was tasty and the appetizers were great to go with the wine I had. The meal left us feeling full and satisfied. Staff were also friendly and the pace of the meal didn't feel rushed.
