We went here for a 40th birthday. The ambiance was great and the bunny walking around didn't suit the vibe which I thought was hilarious. Huge hit that bunny lol Fantastic service and great food all around. The sushi rolls and apps they had were delicious. The only thing I would give slight points off is the truffle risotto. One thing I learned from chef shows is to never use truffle oil. Now I happen to like the taste but it can be really overpowering if you use a lot. And it was. Other than that everything tasted amazing and the cocktails, minus the matcha ube one, were great. The dessert they brought out for the birthday girl was absolutely top notch. Soo..moist. Yup I used that word. Now the dancing part. They really put on a show which is awesome. But the DJ they had used played the same beat over and over with not much variation. I love rock tunes so this isn't really my scene overall but if they did at least music that was recognizable it would have been better. Or at least more variety to the beat with more of a melody. I made prior birthday dinner reservations with Soluna for 8:30pm for a Wednesday night. The ages of the group were 20, 18, 17 and a 16 year old and we had emailed in advance to let the venue know. We received a detailed confirmation. At 5:30pm on the night of the reservation, the venue changed their minds about the ages of the guests and cancelled our reservation. Guests did not get the message until late and we were left scrambling to find a new place and communicate that with guests who were coming from 2 hours away and who ended up so hungry and ordering a pizza slice. Not the birthday she planned. This venue needs to figure out what their policy is and communicate it fairly. Soluna sabotaged the birthday girl's night. Saluna is too try-hard about the image and age they want to portray and they put people out in the process without any consideration for what is involved when someone has a reservation with a party of people. My friend took me here for my birthday on a Thursday, and it was an incredible experience! FYI: There is street parking, but it's limited. From the moment we walked through the outdoor entrance, this place felt like a hidden gem. I loved that it was quiet since it was a weekday, making for a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were beyond welcoming, and they even offered a complimentary coat check. They seated us in a booth near the DJ, and as soon as we stepped inside, we completely forgot we were in the heart of downtown Toronto. The food was delicious! The eggplant and cauliflower were packed with flavor and surprisingly filling. I wasn't a huge fan of the ceviche, but that's just personal preference--it was well-prepared, and my friend absolutely loved it. She ordered the sushi tacos, while I went with the tenderloin, which was cooked to perfection. The sauce was unique, flavorful, and unforgettable. I also ordered a side of broccolini, which was a little underwhelming--wish I had gone for the mushrooms instead. Now, onto the drinks--wow! We started with the Flower Child, and I savored every sip because it was that good. We also ordered one with passion fruit and a salted rim (I can't remember the name), but holy smokes--it was absolutely delicious! I later had a mojito, which was a bit underwhelming, but only because the first two drinks were phenomenal. The service and special touches truly made my night. Someone from the staff brought us birthday shots, which was such a generous gesture. Then, they surprised me with a tres leches cake, complete with a wooden pick engraved with my name--such a thoughtful detail! The spicy crudo ($29) was one of those powerful dishes. Starting with the rub on the seared tenderloin encompassing smoky and salty flavours, but then it's combined with a spicy habanero mole sauce as well. It was so overpowering that the dish really needed a neutral ingredient to balance it out. The avocado was a start, but even some lettuce wraps to go with steak would be nice. Normally labneh ($18) has such a fresh creamy element to it, but the Kalamata olive tapenade and za'atar splashed on top made it so salty that the yoghurt became secondary. A little goes a long way on a piece pita or crostini. More sliced vegetables could help mellow out the saltiness of the dip. I wish I had the Peruvian ceviche ($25) first as after the other two starters all the delicate flavours of the seafood became lost. Such a shame as the dish had the right elements like fresh pieces of fruit (watermelon and goose berries) as well as Asian inspired flavours from the yuzu and sesame oil. Comparatively, it tasted muted and seemed to need more salt, some of which was supplied by the delicious crispy taro chips. The refreshing Mediterranean salad ($16) was a welcomed dish to follow. The lettuce, cucumber, and tomato mixture dressed in a vibrant red gazpacho that created a deliciously different take on the typical Greek salad. That brightness was a good pairing for the Thai shrimp ($25), which seemed out-of-place on the menu. You really can't go wrong with crispy fried shrimp - it's something crowds will like - but I can't say the curry sauce and compressed pineapple complimented it well. If anything, I would have liked a jazzed up pico di gallo or tomatillo salsa with the seafood instead. It is nice to see all the vegetarian options available on Soluna's menu. A similar fried plant-based starter would be their cauliflower ($21), encrusted in a gluten-free batter and served with a delicious pumpkin sauce. If they were cut into smaller florets and fried longer (to the crispness of the Thai shrimp), it would have brought the dish up to another level. Once we got to the mains, Chef Ricardo treated us to an off-menu item - duck tacos. I wouldn't have called it a taco, may a non-crispy flauta. The flour tortilla was stuffed with a Peking duck-style pulled confit so that every bite was filled with the fowl. While it's tasty, I would have liked something crunchy and fresh to balance out the roll. Maybe julienned cucumbers, carrots, and scallions (if we're following the Peking duck flavours) or julienned jicama, scallions, and cactus (for more Mexican flavours). The striploin was cooked well, topped with melted miso butter with a side of puffed potatoes (a cross between roasted potatoes and chips) and serrano aioli. Came here for a fancy occasion right before it turned into a complete club party scene for a nice super experience. The service was phenomenal from A-Z .. we arrived very late around 10:30pm ish and they still had seating left and they were able to serve us all the food we wanted. The burrata was fire, my lamp chops were cooked to perfection ! The fried cauliflower was amazing and portion size was big and very filling The fabulous drinks came with a bubble show it was fabulous ! The food, service and ambiance was very unique it turns in to a club around 11:00-midnight and the tables are cleared out from food for bottle service Its an absolute ambiance and I definitely recommend wholeheartedly!! Came here for an early dinner around 6:30pm on Friday, we were about the 1st of few tables. The service off the bat was great, coat check available at the entrance and the decor was breathtaking. Really makes you feel like you have transported to a resort somewhere. We started off with mocktails (they have 2 options on their menu) and the server walked us through the food menu. Would recommend the Thai shrimp with a side of pita (to get all that yummy sauce) and the golden phyllo dessert were worth it. Unfortunately the entrees (truffle pasta and peri peri chicken) fell short of a quality upscale restaurant but they were decent enough. The vibes really make this place the place to be, dancers were out halfway through our dinner and by 9pm the bar section filled up with people coming in for drinks and getting ready for the DJ night. Came here for a birthday party. My wife and I loved the ambiance, which was complete with people dancing in various costumes. For our apps, we ordered a dozen oysters. We also split a bottle of white wine and a half piri piri chicken. The chicken was cooked and seasoned very nicely. Lastly, the service was very timely and attentive. I had a few dishes Starters was the fried cauliflower. This is a must have here. The cauliflower was breaded and fried to perfection. It had a seasoning that was dead on For the main I had the lamb chops with broccoli. The lamb chops were not seasoned at all and it was cold in center. Telling me that it was precooked and then warmed up later on. As the outside was hot and center stone cold. The broccoli was seasoned and cooked well and the portion size was huge. The ambiance was nice as we get there late and the restaurant was turning into a club. I had a profoundly disappointing experience at Soluna on June 22, 2025. My partner and I were initially told we couldn't enter because we were wearing hats, as the venue enforces a "classy" dress code. We complied--but once inside, it was clear the dress code wasn't being applied consistently at all. Many patrons were dressed far more casually, wearing outfits like ripped jeans and a Korn band tee to name a few items--definitely not what I'd call business casual. We even witnessed someone in track shorts being let in after handing the bouncer $100 cash right in front of us. When I brought up this inconsistency to the bouncer as we left, he made a blatantly racist comment, saying the rule about baseball hats was to "keep Black people out." When I called him out, he tried to pass it off as a joke. But regardless of intent, the impact was incredibly harmful and racist. While there were Black patrons inside who were well-dressed and aligned with the posted dress code, the bouncer's comment made it clear he was referring to a harmful stereotype about who "belongs" in upscale spaces. I was appalled. Dress codes should never be used as a tool to mask discrimination. Soluna needs to take accountability and reflect on how their dress code is enforced--and whether bias is shaping who feels truly welcome. Until that happens, I won't return or recommend this venue to others. read more

I'm reviewing the club scene, not restaurant of Soluna. This place is a 25+ and short lineup. Went in a Friday night and had a booth. Our server was very patient and attentive. She was beautiful and friendly; she made sure you had a drink or hydrated if you weren't drinking alcohol. The place was a bit slow when I went and the music wasn't my type of music at all, but my friends and I had a blast. The place itself is small and cozy. I would only come here if I was invited to a friend's party or something but wouldn't go on my own; it wouldn't be my first go-to club. Overall it was a fun first time experience here. read more

My visit to Soluna was a disappointing and uncomfortable experience. Been there alot of times but the the black unfit fat bouncer at the entrance was blatantly partial, allowing people from his own community in without question, while unfairly scrutinizing and turning away others-especially people of color who didn't "fit" his preference. We stood in line for over an hour and watched as he selectively let people in, often claiming they were on a "guest list," even when it was obvious they were not. His attitude was dismissive and rude, and it felt like he judged people based on appearance rather than any real criteria. Would never recommend people to go there, there are alot of places in Queens & King, please do not try to go there.. This place seriously needs to reevaluate its door policies and staff conduct. As it stands, this place is not welcoming to everyone-especially immigrants or people who don't look the way the bouncer wants them to. read more

I can easily say this is some of the best service I have received in Toronto. We had a table of 11 and our waitress was very attentive and patient when taking our orders . Our drinks all came out within minutes of each other. The waitress was very kind to help us with recommendations. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time for our table and no one was left waiting. All our dishes were also warm/hot Quality of food was surprisingly REALLY good, not a single person complained about the food we ordered. Some of the my recommendations would be the eggplant, beef tartar, Thai noodles, branzino, Perri-Perri Chicken and the lamb chops. Our server overheard we were celebrating someone's birthday and brought us a few treats to our table to celebrate at the end of our meal. They also allowed us to stay a little longer than our allotted time to enjoy ourselves. To our surprise paying the bill was made super easy for our large group. We were initially told via email that our party that we would have to pay one bill as our party was fairly large, but our waitress had already kept our orders separate and made it very convenient for us to pay individually. One of the managers/owners came by and quickly chatted to us about their event for the weekend and other events they had planned for the future. Made us felt really welcomed even as we left! My boyfriend and I were invited to Soluna on Halloween night. After being toyed and played by Mike at security for 10 mins, we made the decision to leave. During this, every other person was let into the venue with little to no questioning. The security took their time questioning me and my boyfriend, while letting the women we were with inside.
