It's a bit of a drive but it's an easy and beautiful drive, very scenic. I was looking for a store front, but there isn't one, so keep your eyes peeled the GPS takes you to a gate and that's the right place. Our referee for the day was Jim, nice easy going guy. Took time to answer all questions, talk about safety, explain the games and provide great commentary and took photos of our games. At one point our 11 year old daughter got an unfortunate shot right behind her ear and it stung quite a bit. Jim went right out and got her and took her to our safe zone so she could rest and calm down and we didn't have to worry. She was back in the game after sitting one out and having fun again. All the paintball guns worked flawlessly and there was zero issue with any of the gear. The site we played on was basically just natural forest with some old fallen stumps and logs, lots of cover. At the end of the day I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to just go out and have fun in our beautiful Pacific Northwest scenery.

I learned these things and more from the Stray Boots app tours! Today I did the Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market tours. They were both really fun! Even though I've lived in Seattle for years, the tours helped me discover lots of Seattle history and took me to places I've never been as well as old favorites. I will definitely be recommending Stray Boots to visiting friends and family. I liked that the app let me proceed at my own pace, and everyone I asked for help, from shopkeepers to random strangers, was really friendly. What a neat way to explore a city! I'll be doing some more tours myself next time I travel.

Also upset that with all of the options for clues at the market, they had some that you could not solve on a Sunday. The market is limitless for clues- since they don't give you that many they could at least give you clues that are available every day of the week. Completely NOT WORTH $24. Meh.

Brent worked closely with us to make sure we understood the process of submitting customized trivia questions. It was also so fun to have different kinds of trivia (standard, misfits, frenzy modes and more), and they have so many amazing mini games to sprinkle in amongst the trivia sections. Our guests weren't expecting it and loved it. Also, 100 League's control boxes are the best - the design is so smart, the four arcade buttons feel perfect, the emojis-as-teams concept works perfectly, and it was great not having to worry about guests using their phones as controllers (wifi / network issues and low batteries were never a concern with the control boxes). Game selected: Deadwood Valley…read more While I'm familiar with the whole concept of virtual reality, I had never tried it out until my first visit to Sandbox VR. When we arrived, we used the kiosks to check in, sign the waiver and input our contact information. This becomes important later in order to receive your post-game video highlights via email & text. After this, a staff member took us to the back and guided us on how to suit up. Each person must wear a vest and a total of four sensors that strap on to each wrist and ankle. We then entered our game room and the employee assisted us with strapping on the headsets which launched us into the virtual world! It's so cool to look around what was previously just an empty room and see your teammates in their animated state. After a quick tutorial, we were handed the weapons we selected and the game began. Without going into too much detail, we were "transported" into a city that has been overrun with zombies, zombified dogs, birds and other monstrous creatures. The game lasted about 30 minutes and took place across three different stages. You are truly immersed in the environment. When the zombies attack, it appears as if they are right in your face and your vest vibrates upon their contact. When you're shooting, keep in mind that accuracy counts! For attire, wear light clothing as you'll be moving the entire time, equivalent to a bit of a workout. The gear itself is pretty lightweight, but the headset is not super comfortable. Understandably, it needs to be strapped on tightly, but it felt like my cheeks were being pulled down and about halfway through, it seemed like the headset was slightly clouding up. Four of us played the Deadwood Valley game and the rest of our group played Unbound Fighting League. For UFL, only two players can play at a time, so you will spend some time sitting on the sidelines. The 30 minutes of gameplay went by quickly and then one of the employees showed us our video highlights on a large screen, which were entertaining to say the least! The videos are immediately sent via email / text as well. This virtual reality experience was super fun and very unique, however it was $60 per person for 30 minutes of a single game. To me, that seems fairly steep. For that price, it would have been nice if they allowed you to play two games (or offered some type of package deal to do that), however I'm sure that's all part of their strategy to get customers to return.

The experience alone was worth it! It was a 40min game and it was a great experience for me as a first time player. This place is EPIC. Seriously. The game design is top notch, the game guides actually pay attention to you when you're in the rooms so they know what you've done and tried, they don't watch several games at once, and they actually CARE if you had a good time. Prior to them arriving in Seattle my wife and I had done all but one of their games in different cities (DC, Nashville, San Francisco) and were thrilled that they came through with Cosmic Crisis, one we had not done. On top of the rooms and general customer service being top notch - the space is clean. Being in facilities both my wife and I judge places by their restrooms - and The Escape Game Downtown Seattle has consistently had a pristine restroom - and frankly? That counts.

A friend who has done over 200 escape rooms recommended this one. I admit, I was a little nervous not knowing what to expect but we ended up having the BEST time! Michelle was our guide and she was awesome about telling us "sort of" what to expect while still keeping it mysterious. We did "Cosmic Crisis" which they described as level 7 out of 10. I have to admit, I thought it was pretty hard! We were allowed to ask for clues, which we did end up doing a handful of times. We did manage to escape which was super exciting! We had 3 minutes to spare. Our kids are 10 and 12 and they cannot wait to go back. This is such a fun family friendly thing to do. Highly recommend!!!
