I hate to have to write a review of this magnitude, but businesses have to stop the discrimination…read moreand profiling. Myself and my partner, both business owners, retired military and AA put in an application for an apartment with the company. We are transitioning from Texas and needed a place in the meantime here. We viewed about 6 units with an agent named Chloe before deciding on this one and got an approval a short while after the application was sent. A background check was done, the approval was sent and money was taken out of my business account to get keys by Friday of this week. I arrived back in town on yesterday and saw that our money had been returned to the business account with no explanation or Reason. I still don't have any written correspondence to support why this happened. We contacted Chloe and was told that the approval went through, but her manager didn't feel good about renting to us. I asked Chloe if she had an issue black people, lesbians, military people or those with businesses. Chloe explained that my business credit was too new. I expressed that we had been in the city for a little less than 2 months, so establishment and my license reflects that. We also provided a personal guarantee and paid a much higher deposit. The manager then claimed the system kicked out the process, when we had already gotten an approval. We had also been told by Chloe after we noticed the money returned that her manager did this. I'll say that while I'm happy my partner and I have secured another unit on today, I don't appreciate the scrutiny or my time being wasted after doing everything right. The sad thing about the entire ordeal is that most of the parties that profile legitimate individuals with money don't make 3 times the rent themselves. I hope this review helps someone else to steer clear of these people and to take their dollar where they are respected and treated fairly. I haven't decided if I will follow up legally as of yet, but beware.

My experience with Renters Warehouse managing my rental property was extremely disappointing and,…read morefrankly, unacceptable. I hired this company to professionally manage and lease my rental property, but throughout the process I was met with poor communication, lack of urgency, weak follow-through, and an overall level of unprofessionalism that made me question why I was paying for property management services in the first place. Communication was one of the biggest failures throughout this process. I often felt completely left out of the loop and had to repeatedly follow up for updates instead of receiving proactive communication from the team managing my property. I constantly found myself chasing down basic information that should have been communicated without me having to ask. Even after terminating my contract, there was no professional follow-up email or proper communication confirming the termination process, which speaks volumes about their lack of professionalism and organization. One of the most alarming issues was how my property was handled. After switching management companies, my new property management company informed me that my townhome had been left unlocked/open. As a property owner, finding out that a company entrusted with managing and securing my home failed to do something as basic as lock the property is completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about their competence, attention to detail, and professionalism. In terms of leasing performance, I was not impressed at all. My property sat on the market for over 40 days, and despite paying Renters Warehouse to market and lease the property, they only brought me 2 applicants during that time. Meanwhile, I personally advertised the property myself and found more than double the number of tenant leads and inquiries on my own. That completely defeats the purpose of hiring a property management company in the first place. I was essentially paying for a service while doing much of the work myself. I spent money on a simple facebook ad and was doing more marketing than Renters warehouse ever was. Another major issue was the handling of applicants. Multiple applications were being accepted, but there appeared to be poor communication and follow-up with prospective tenants, leaving applicants confused and giving them the runaround instead of providing timely updates and a clear leasing process. This not only reflected poorly on their professionalism, but likely hurt the leasing process as well. This company also did not give the full profile on potential applicants. I later on found out that one of the applicants had more streams of income than was reported by Renters warehouse after I had asked them multiple times to find out this information.  To make matters worse, the tone of some of the communication I received toward the end of this experience was dismissive and unprofessional, which only reinforced my decision to terminate the relationship. I have included screenshots of our final communication because I believe it accurately reflects the lack of professionalism I experienced. Overall, my experience with Renters Warehouse was marked by poor communication, lack of accountability, weak leasing performance, questionable handling of my property, poor applicant management, and an overall lack of professionalism. I entrusted this company with one of my biggest assets and left feeling like I had to do much of the work myself while receiving subpar service in return. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

Now here I am in 2026 and after moving back to the area 1.5yrs ago to help a friend who's undergone a major life change; I'm looking for a place of my own. I reached out to them and have two viewings set up. And from what I can tell; nothing's changed. The initial call was friendly and efficient. They could see my history and were kind and professional. I'm going back to them because I NEVER had one issue when doing business with them in the past and it appears I won't this go around.

Of course you are going to lie. Im the one that told America's I will never work for them again. As far as work being done I have every photo before during and after. Your records are incorrect. Your employees fail to read estimates, they approve them and the price then decide they don't want to pay for it. I will gladly post all emails and screenshots, phone log, voicemails I have had to leave because Noone answers the phone. I would advise you to check your employees email and verify your information again. Seems with all the negative reviews this company not only has issues with vendors but with renting these homes out as well. Attached is photo proof and proof of my email. this is inregard to the following work orders: 57176-4, 56999-6, and 57316-1. I am attaching email proof where Mindy and Clay agreed and told us to proceed after sending detail estimates. Please see blow the attached documents and the email that was sent yesterday to Clay and Mindy. I know this is a long email, but I am trying to explain everything to the T so there isn't any confusion. Please help resolve this. We will gladly go our separate ways, we just want paid correctly for what was agreed on. "Good afternoon, I have went through all emails and attached them to this email for better clarity. I am trying to resolve this the most civil way possible. Please understand when we do work then get told we arnt getting paid for it, is very aggravating because we spend time and our money to do these jobs for you. On 5/8/26 we received a workorder #57176-1 for a estimate at 255 Dreher Road Jasper AL. On 5/11 Clay said the price was too high, so I adjusted it and sent a updated estimate on 5/11. On 5/15 Clay said punch team will handle punch items and pressure washing. The workorder number changed to 57176-4 we completed the job and submitted all documentation/invoice on 5/21/26 for the amount of $2655.00 On 4/27/26 we received a workorder #56999-2 for a estimate at 118 Barnett Place Jasper AL. On 4/30/26 I sent a estimate and on this estimate it said BIO WASH GARAGE AND TO PRESSURE WASH BACK PATIO. On 05/01/26 Clay said to proceed, I have also attached the workorder that only said to pressure wash the back patio. We completed the job on 05/5/26 sent invoice for $4,025.00. We got paid the full amount on 05/07/26. If you look at the attached photo you will see your billing department DIDNT list bio washing, only pressure washing, but the way your billing department has it listed and other items it still was paid correctly so I didn't think it would be a big deal. Now on 5/21/26 we got another work order #56999-6. I sent Clay the estimate on 5/21/26 which was for PRESSURE WASH GARAGE, ADD AIR FRESHENERS IN EVERY ROOM, AND FIX SINK LEAK. Clay said to please proceed on 5/22/26. We completed the job and sent all documentation/ invoice on 5/31/26 for the amount of $480.00 On 05/19/26 we got a workorder #57316-1 for a estimate at 853 Bethal Church Rd Eva Al. I emailed the estimate to Mindy on 5/21/26, the same day on 5/21/26 she said to go ahead please. On 5/26/26 I sent all documentation/invoice for the amount of $2615.00 All work orders including 56999-6 and 57316-1 was fully approved by Clay and Mindy. You cant come back and refuse to pay when yall gave the go ahead to proceed after getting the estimate with detail work and price. Mindy literally said she is a busy person flying through them(estimates) I can not help she didn't review it. That is her job. Clay, you told me to please proceed at 118 Barnett Place jasper after I sent the estimate. If yall dont want the work done then please say something because its not right for us to work our butts off to your expectations, fund the job out of our own pocket, then not get paid or told we arnt getting paid. I am attaching these photos. I hope this breaks down everything. I have really tried to be professional as possible about this, but I have a business to run, we have to get paid what was agreed on. Thats only right to anyone." Now the remittance above for workorder 57176-4 is also $300 short. Mindy and Clay shouldn't tell us to proceed if they arnt going to pay after the work is done. If you would like to call me to discuss this matter please do.
