I like the variety of stuff they have. They've never had the best customer service here but this time my family and I walked in with our 4yr old service dog because it said dogs were allowed at the door. They let us walk around and spend $150 on merchandise and after paying, we looked at glass figurines by the door. We were talking about which ones we wanted to come back for the next day as gifts to our parents and the cashier came up to us and asked us to please leave with our dog before her boss got mad at her. Not sure why it was ok for us to be there with him while we were shopping but not once we had already paid. Our dog btw was very well behaved and trained to be in social settings like that and will not turn any of his attention to anyone else in the store but us. Not to mention the false sign of dogs allowed on the door that made us come into the establishment, to begin with this time. I left angry and didn't think about it until was already on the road but I should have returned everything I bought.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear the shop is run with real care and intention--everything felt thoughtfully arranged, giving it a curated aesthetic rather than the usual clutter you might expect. The store really shines in its housewares section, with a great selection that felt like a mix of practical finds and unique pieces--almost like a bit of Seattle charm made its way to the coast. The ladies behind the counter were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made browsing even more enjoyable. Prices were low compared to the Goodwills we go to, and we had a great time digging through all the little treasures. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time just exploring. Overall, we found Anchor Thrift to be a fun, friendly spot that we look forward to visiting again.

There were 4 cars in line before me, so instead of blocking the entrance to the actual "Goodwill" store side I decided to pull in front. I let every car go first before me that had been there prior, and when it was my turn I got out to explain I had some things to donate (in the mean time as the cars that were there before me started leaving, new cars were pulling up in their spot). The woman working seemed very confused, and informed me that "I can't take your stuff, you need to turn around and go to the back if this line." Like I had not been parked there the entire time. She was extremely flustered and for the life of her couldn't understand why my car was in front. NOT ROCKET SCIENCE LADY! I guess this teaches me something though trying to donate things. There needs to be some serious training basic training, or atleast a competencey test I guess. I was simply not trying to block the sliding doors to the entrance of the actual shop area by pulling foward. I'll find somewhere else to donate my things, this place is a joke, if you want to donate something save yourself the headache and avoid.
