I love this building only because I used to work here back when it was a urology office. I was reminiscing about the good ol' days when I was a nurse and caring for patients at this location. I had to sit in the parking lot and stand in the building for a while. It brought back some really good memories. I am scoring with three stars. You have NO privacy when you're sitting in the waiting room. They have front office staff who call patients or MD offices, they say patient names and date of birth where everyone can hear it out in the open. Wave Imaging, really needs to put a glass barrier or something of that sort, so that their staff's voice doesn't carry over into the waiting area. That was literally our problem when I used to work in that same exact suite many years ago. The waiting room had huge scuff marks with paint missing all across one side. The suite itself is not the prettiest Wave Imaging I have ever been to. They should think about the decor or color scheme so it's not so blah in there. That said, my imaging tech was fast, courteous and friendly. He himself, gets 5 stars. The front office is another story. They were not personable at all. They just looked bored out of their minds. This interaction made my visit a bit unpleasant. Would I return? Yes. Unfortunately it's the closest location to my address. read more

Son needed an MRI of his knee for injury to diagnose meniscus or ACL tear. Didn't receive the report for 2 weeks. Had to reschedule orthopedic appointment twice because report hadn't been received. Finally got the report and went to ortho. Dr. commented that he couldn't believe it took so long to get the report. Meanwhile, couldn't begin therapy, for all that time wasted, waiting on Wave Imaging to send the report. I should add that numerous calls were made to Wave asking what the delay was. They said it takes them that long. Horrible experience. Steer clear!!! read more

I had an appointment to have a CT scan done with and without guy worked in San Clemente but they couldn't get the dye to work poke me three times almost blew my vein up a week later they sent me over to Laguna Hills. The lady was very very nice. Took her two tries, and she finally did it. The test was done in 20 minutes. I was so happy to get it over with, but the facility is crazy. They sat on my report from July 9 to July 31 and finally signed off on it and still did not send it to my doctor. It sat there until August 14 until I had a call and scream and yell where my report was today it is finally on its way to my doctor how unprofessional that person that sat on that report after setting off phone it should be fired for being so incompetent to sit on such a report. Scary. I went in the evening. Door locked. No sign. Went to the side entrance. Sign said go to side entrance. Nothing else' looked all over. Knocked on side entrance door again. Someone sat there 5' away and ignored me. Looked down for several minutes. Could obviously hear me. Finally figured out I should go to the main entrance and ring the bell. This is horrific customer service. Can't provide simple directions. Accurate directions. Look down and ignore a client. Do they get their staff from psych Hosp? I am afraid to get a biopsy here. They are not capable of getting someone in the door. I didn't get ultrasound results. Called after 1 1/2. Weeks. Was told they didn't know when the dr would be back. I am anxiously waiting to find out if I have cancer and the dr isn't there. This incompetence is very scary. People's lives depend on these people. And bad from the ground up. I would definitely recommend going elsewhere for an MRI. I had an MRI done two weeks ago and I'm still awaiting the results. I called wave imaging and was told that it has not been read yet by the radiologist. To me that is extremely unacceptable to wait two weeks when I am in extreme pain. Also, when I arrived at the facility and was taken back by the staff, I was asked which leg they were doing. I told them it is not my leg it is my left arm. Then when I was taken into the exam room and put on the table, they started prepping my right arm. I had to tell them it was my left arm once again. I was told that results would be in 3 to 5 days and I am still awaiting results after two weeks. Meanwhile, I am suffering tremendously awaiting a diagnosis. Absolutely terrible medical care. If I could give them a zero I would instead I gave them a very reluctant one star. read more

I had a CAT scan at wave imaging on June 11. That report has yet to be sent to my doctor and this is June 26. I extremely unprofessional there seems to be no way to get this report released. They say that the radiologist has yet to read it. Why should this take two weeks? read more

The people who staff their call center are not knowledgeable, uncaring, and rude. They have lied to me on a few occasions, one being that, in trying to get hold of my doctor's office (for pre-approval), they stated that they had "... tried three times (once a week) and no one answered. The office was closed." The doctor's office was not closed any of these times. Call center person said that no one answered phone at doctor's office. I explained it is answered with a voicemail and you must push the correct number to speak with a human and/or leave a voicemail. Apparently, these folks just can't do that. I'm now 9 weeks out from my doctor referring me to them for an MRI. I still have not had said MRI, due to the incompetence of these people and their inability to correctly communicate with and between my doctor and insurance company. read more

I see others are having the same problem with appointments being cancelled. I don't think it's the Laguna Hills office, I think it's a business practice. I've had have 3 appointments with them over the last several years and 2 of the 3 have been cancelled at the last minute for various reasons. I imagine the employees are just wild-eyed with having their hours cut as well as annoying patients. I'm not making an appt for fun, I have a serious need. From the get-go, this is a very poor experience. On the website, it clearly states walk-in only for X-Ray. Not that it is not available all day. I show up at 1PM and then, I was told, oh, I will make an appointment for you in the morning, 8:20 AM. ok. arrive at 8AM, other patients there waiting, and NO technician on site yet to perform the X-Ray. So we wait and wait. Meanwhile, I have to wait 40 min...and then over pay for fee-based parking because employees cannot get to work on time? sounds like I need to apply for that job. absolutely not customer-centric, and this is CHRONIC over the years I have had to use their service. Great service! Clean facility and staff was friendly. We went for an ultrasound for my son and the tech was very knowledgeable working with infants. Very patient. Just to add the scheduling system was a bit confusing. I scheduled an appointment then I was told they scheduled for the wrong kind of ultrasound and had to be seen the following week. Thankfully they called me the day before and told me they had to reschedule. A bit unorganized in that department. Looks like other folks weren't as lucky. It also took me a long time to finally get the correct person to schedule an appointment. 1 star for the fact that it takes 8-10 business days for results!! How crazy! Why so long? I'd go somewhere just for that. 5 stars is mainly for the ultrasound tech. He was great with my little one! read more

If you can go elsewhere, I would highly recommend that you do. My experience has been borderline unbelievable as I have been trying to make an MRI appointment and it has been cancelled by the Laguna Hills and Newport Beach locations FOUR times. Appointment #1 - called one hour before the appointment to tell me the technician wasn't available (Laguna Hills). Appointment #2 - called 30 minutes before appointment to tell me the technician was not available (Laguna Hills). Appointment #3 - I drove an hour to the Newport location since Laguna Hills wasn't helping me and when I got there they forgot to send the instructions that said I couldn't eat. I have never had an MRI so that was news to me and they sent me home. Appointment #4 - I drove an hour to the Newport location again and they called me as I drove into the parking lot and said that their machine wasn't working so they'd have to cancel my appointment. I am trying to get answers for a medical issue and it's been ONE MONTH of cancellations when I've been nothing but diligent in rescheduling and being available at any time the offices could fit me in. read more

The office moved and no new address on their form. Find office on my own but it is next to the hospital. The street and parking lot is all under construction. I was misdirected twice but finally made it 8 minutes late. The girl up front said she is would check to see if they would still see me. I could hear them chatting for 3 or 4 minutes before she told me I would have to reschedule. They were not even busy. I will NEVER go to WAVE again. They never have me the new address and nobody helped me when I tried to check in at the wrong floor. (No sign either.) The address noted above is the old one. I've been an RN for 13 years. Of those 13 years I have been a nurse practitioner for 8 years. Their scheduling system is THE WORST I have ever used. THE ABSOLUTE WORST. They will NOT allow you to schedule any X-rays over the phone. Only on the website. So you are screwed if their website isn't working properly. If you are not able to schedule an appointment online, you are FORCED to walk-in. I'm sorry, but as a full-time working person whose PTO is exceedingly precious, I do NOT want to spend 2 hours of my time WAITING for an X-ray that I should have been able to schedule. It is NOT my fault that your website is very difficult to use. Also, it makes no sense to me that it will not let you create an account IF THE SYSTEM DOESNT KNOW YOU ALREADY. Um. What?? That's the whole damn reason I am trying to create an account: so that you HAVE MY INFORMATION IN YOUR SYSTEM. THEIR WEBSITE IS A NIGHTMARE. It is difficult to use, very confusing, and straight up awful. Whoever designed it was either on heavy drugs, a drinking binge, or a combination of both. This whole experience was so unpleasant and I'm only referring to just the scheduling part. I was finally able to schedule an appointment, but I have absolutely ZERO faith that this place knows what they're doing. I'm terrified what will happen when I actually go there for my X ray. The staff was pleasant and was called back by the technologist just a couple of minutes beyond my scheduled time. Made appointment online, took time Off from work and took my son out of school since it was his appointment, we get there and they say the Xray machine broke and we need to reschedule for the following week. Repeat-take time off work, take son out of school, on our way there they call that their technician is not in. Mind you my appointment was in the afternoon and they could have called earlier. The worst experience getting an MRI here! Rude technician, no hi or hello, walked in front of me down the hall asking me questions in a barely audible voice, I couldn't understand her mumbling. When we got to the imaging room I guess she thought it would be instinct for me to know exactly how I was supposed to lay flat on my stomach for an appendage image. It was painful how she had me lay, and shocking how little she cared. I actually said to her, It seems like you really don't like your job. Last time I went to this location they charged me $425.00 even though I was completely covered by insurance. I spent 2 years trying to get it cleared up, after they sent my bill to a collection agency when I owed zero. Shit-show on steroids. I think they must be scammers, I really do. Billing the client and their insurance company. Twice the money. They tried to collect $415.00 this visit, after I told them twice I Do Not have a co-pay. Never again will I go there and I'm telling my physician to read these reviews. I just hope the radiologists are real. read more

Let me start by saying the Laguna Woods staff are great. They're pleasant, experienced, and treat me well. The problem is the person I never see...THE RADIOLOGIST. The contrast with other RadNet facilities is drastic. The Laguna Woods diagnoses are minimalistic and lazy. Please don't spend more than 37 seconds on my behalf. It's just my health. The lack of information implies that the findings are insignificant. My specialist basically threw the report in the trash, then spent 20 minutes explaining the multitude of degradation shown on the DVD. Then, he explains how it's consistent with my symptoms. My primary doctor reads the report and concludes, "Mehhhh, you're fine. Take some Tylenol." Seriously. There's like three sentences in the Laguna Woods report as opposed to three pages, with hand-written notes in the margin, from a RadNet facility in Los Angeles. It's sad to think I need to drive 50 miles to find a competent Radiologist who gives a damn, but I can't get proper treatment without a proper diagnosis. I have some serious decisions to make. read more

The staff was incredibly professional and courteous. The facility was clean. Even though my appointment was late afternoon, they were running on schedule. The technician that performed the MRI could not have been more positive, friendly and thorough. My insurance provider asked me to deliver a number of follow up data and when I contacted WaveImaging, they were prompt and thorough! read more

My wife and I live in the Lake Elsinore / Temecula area and have both used RadNet in several of their locations. I have been suffering from a terrible sinus infection for the last several weeks and was trying to get scheduled for an MRI in either the Murrieta or Temecula offices of RadNet. The only near-term opening was with Wave Imaging Laguna Woods. I took it. The front desk personnel at Laguna Woods were so helpful, courteous, and caring, the exact OPPOSITE of the front desk personnel at the Wildomar RadNet office. I arrived an hour early and asked the front desk person if I could be seen early. He responded, "Only if you come early," and immediately started processing my paperwork. The lab technicians were very caring and helpful. When I walked back to get my belongings, a young lady cleaning the area could see I was a little unsteady and offered me water and asked if I needed a snack. If it were possible to give this place .0001 stars I would. I just read two of the recent reviews and I couldn't agree more. "How does this place stay in business?" I had an appointment at the Laguna Woods office on the morning of April 1. I arrived 15 minutes early as instructed. I had to wait 35 minutes (standing with my cane), just to get to the actual front desk. When I said I had an appointment they looked at the computer and said rather bewilderingly, "Your appointment isn't listed", which neatly summed up their job knowledge. They already had my doctor's order, my insurance card and my photo ID and had seen the email confirmation of my appointment. Yet, unbelievably, they then asked me, "Are you sure you're not supposed to be in Fountain Valley or San Clemente?" Why would anyone ask such a condescending, unprofessional and insensitive question? Due to the previous day's snafu, I was rescheduled for this morning and told to approach the front desk immediately upon arrival to let them know I had an appointment. When I did that the same woman from yesterday asked, "Can't you see there's a line? You have to wait at the end of the line." What a rude response. Later I found out she is the office manager. No wonder this place is so horrid. Naturally, by the time I got helped another staff member told me that I "was late" and had therefore "missed my appointment". As of 11/4/2022: Reimbursement check never showed up They don't care about you, they just take your money. Patient has medi-medi yet was forced to pay infor "just in case". Now that insurance paid in full, let's see how many years it takes to get the refund check. Update: Patient went in for ultrasound on 10/4/2021, again was forced to pay full amount and was told a refund check would be sent after insurance payment received. Insurance paid in one week. And where is the promised refund check? Called the billing multiple times, couldn't get through to a human, pre-recordings and music kept you on permanent hold. Still waiting to this day. Unbelievable! Been here twice, both experience are horrible . It's a red flag that any medical facilities would insist on charging the insured patient in full before providing service. In response to the several comments that wonder how this place stays open, I think I have the answer. They are one of the very few freestanding radiology providers in the area. Ever heard the term '"'stuff' rolls downhill'? I have found this applies in the workplace. Whenever I run into an unpleasant experience with an employee or a facility, most of the time I can trace it back to the people in charge. In this case, I'm talking about whoever has set this business up. It's got to be someone who knows nothing about how to run an efficient, customer-focused business. The employees I came into contact with were WONDERFUL. They got a lot of flack from patients; all due to the STUPID, THOUGHTLESS WAY the place is run. 'Walk-ins accepted only' suggests you will be accomodated. But no, they have to cap the number of walk-ins they take because they are either under-staffed or don't have enough facilities to see the number of walk-ins. Many people were told it was a 2.5 hr wait OR to come back tomorrow. I didn't know they do special exams on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday so walk-in accommodations are limited. THIS SHOULD BE ON THE WEBSITE!!! I went to one clinic and was told they didn't have an xray tech on that day. I asked when they would and they told me 'in 2 months'. WHY IS THAT NOT ON THE WEBSITE? IF YOU WANT RELIABLE INFORMATION, CALL! But wait; I have called the front desk several times, reaching a strange answering machine that says something like 'B243 is not available. Leave a message'. I did, twice. Strange, I didn't get a call back either time. Maybe B243 is on vacation. THANK YOU, KIND STAFF; WHO WORK FOR A COMPANY WHO COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT CLIENT SATISFACTION. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW THIS COMPANY TREATS IT'S EMPLOYEES. And to management, here's a suggestion. Yelp something like 'Radiology near me' and see what pops up. Find the businesses that have great reviews. Sit with them and ask them why. Then do an overhaul on your company. read more

Yet, I tried to walk in at 3pm on a Wednesday and someone standing in the front told me that I had to call at 8am to make an appt. 8am SHARP, I called to make an appointment and they direct me to some stupid site called RADNET.com and I fill out the forms online only to be told at the end THERE ARE NO APPTS AVAILABLE IN MY AREA. I called the office back and MANUEL who answered the phone literally HUNG UP ON ME!!!! This place is AWFUL!! And they have no clue what they are doing. COMPLETELY UNORGANIZED. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS and treat you like you do not matter. The people working here are just collecting a paycheck and are obviously not trained in customer service. This location has a real problem. They are located in a shared location with a bank but you would never know it because THE ONLY SIGN is on the street and can be see only if coming from the south. Not even any door says Wave Imaging! Once in the correct parking lot there is again NO SIGN denoting which door is for Wave Imaging. So of course you assume your GPS is wrong and call to find out yes, you are in the right lot. The staff was friendly and the services were adequate but I'm sure they are sick of people asking about signage and/ or parking. You will be towed if in bank parking. Ugh!!! I've been here twice now and decided it wasn't worth the trouble and inconvenience to wait, both times. First time was for a simple x-ray. The waiting room was packed full and a long line formed behind me after I went to check-in... this was at around 8:15am on a Wednesday morning. The person at the desk told me Wednesdays are the worst (sounds like every day is the worst though lol) and to try another location. After checking wait times in the system, she advised that the San Clemente location either had no wait time or it was very short and that I may want to try there (good thing I decided not to - I found out after checking their website shortly after that the xray machine at the SC location wasn't working which explains why the there was no wait time or that it was very short) The second time I had made an appointment for an MRI at 8pm at night, thinking I'd be able to get it taken care of quickly. I went in and there were probably close to a dozen people waiting. The person at the desk also tells me "oh we have to collect from you up front for this... it'll be $478~" or something to that tune. My wrist started feeling a lot better after that lol. This lady then walked up to the side as we were going over the details and asked the person at the desk "when will I be seen? My appointment was at 7:50pm and it's 8:15pm now" - after that I said forget it: I'm not going to give them my money AND wait here like this. Now I know not to come here :( read more

I had an appointment today and when I arrived the placed was all locked up, no sign saying where they had moved too, I checked all my 4 Texts and 3 emails from them NO mention of new address. I called and was given Calle Magdalena address so I asked what suite number "no suite number" what there has to be it's a large building? I'm going to share the awesome experience I had at Wave Imaging Laguna Hills this past week. Firstly, it's located INSIDE the Wells Fargo bank building on Paseo De Valencia next door to Mothers Market. I went inside and thought I had an X-ray to do which is on a walk-in basis no appt needed. Only to find out that its another imaging procedure an Ultra Sound that in fact needed an appt. Because this needed to be done and reports ready by a time crunch, Angela was able to call previous appts and make room for mine! That is a a rock star right there! I was super grateful that she was able to go above and beyond to do that. That in itself calls for 5 stars in my book. With that said, patients that walk through the door are experiencing a lot of different issues. They may not feeling well, or dealing with a loss . That said, the health care workers are doing their best to provide these services for your needs. That means exercising patience, respect, and cooperation when they are also working with the public during a pandemic and they themselves are putting their own lives at risk to show up to work so the patients can get their procedures done! Please remember that! Be kind! Be patient, and give positivity to those front line workers. Some are also pregnant , not feeling well, or secretly dealing with their own personal issues. Yet, they show up, show you respect, and allow us to have access to resources that enable patients to tend to their health.Angela, I salute you and wish you all the best with your little one. read more

This is it. LAST TIME WE GO THERE. We will never return to this place. Multiple times we get there, pulling our son out of school and go there, and we get told the machines are not working. Yesterday we called before going there today and double checked that everything was working and we would have no problems. We took our son out of school and went there and once again we were told, the machine is not working! a simple X-Ray machine! Are you guys serious? Is this a real business or a business being managed by a group of people who do not care about the customers and their time! Just charging the insurance, don't care attitude and a bunch of rude people at the receptionist. This is not the way to treat patients. I am not sure how this place stays in business. If you are in need of an Xray Instrongly suggest you call your health care provider and MAKE them use another vendor. I have had 3 separate incidents with Wave Imaging. Two for me personally and one for my 88 year old father. Both were horrible. They don't take Xray appointments so you are forced to do walk ins only. RED FLAG They state their hours but on two occassions when I walked in during said hours they told me they were booked up for the day or the machine was down. Booked up at 9 am!! Machine down but no update on your site nor answering services? I'll assume they are understaffed but I really get the impression that they don't give a crap about their patients time or well being. I have unfortunately, had a lot of experience in in a patient in hospitals over the many years, and and do to my path in life I have received dozens of radiological studies. This one here is the bottom of the barrel The girl doing the ultrasound was absolutely clueless. Her supervisor had to literally talk her through the entire thing. She cannot do the basic operations at all. Which should've been a 20 minute ultrasound turned into over an hour and a half. In fact, she was so bad that she was literally not get in contact with my skin and kept losing the image. If you want to be a guinea pig come here. Lastly, I understand that everybody needs to learn, but this person was so incompetent. They should not be in the clinical setting up. Not sure how or where she earned her certification. read more

This is for San Clemente Wave imaging is why people hate medical care. Staff is overworked, rude and they lie. Not scheduling x-rays is good business but it's horrible patient care. They don't care if you wait for over an hour and lie to you that you're 3rd in line 3 times from different front desk people. Then you watch someone who obviously checked in after you (30 minutes later) get their procedure before you. Nice first come first serve!
