Hot bartenders. Can't find anywhere else to get kava extract shots that aren't manufactured.

"Warning: This place may permanently ruin your morning coffee standards"…read more Strolled in half‑awake, expecting a sad drip machine and stale bagel -- but what I got was liquid magic in a cup and a sandwich so good I considered proposing to it. The coffee hits you like it means business (but in a friendly, "let's solve your Monday" kind of way), and the muffins? Gloriously crumbly, buttery, and perfect with too‑many‑syrup‑lattes. The vibe is cozy‑café meets "I'm gonna stay here until I've read three books," complete with comfy seating, free WiFi, and zero judgement for ordering a triple‑shot espresso at 9AM. Staff were so warm and down‑to‑earth I half expected them to know my name -- and maybe my existential crisis. Long story short: if "just a quick coffee stop" ends in me buying a bag of beans and mentally downgrading every other café around, that's on you, Bean.

I stopped by on a weekday in the afternoon by Uber after exploring the Dali museum. Ambiance (2.5/5): Speakeasy Kava is a hipster/alternative type of spot. No frills. While it was chill during the afternoon, I noticed that they have a stage so it looks like they have live music or performances sometimes. They have some seating at the bar and some tabletop seating. I sat at the bar. You'll see people hanging out and other people on their computers. They have free WiFi. Service (3/5): You order at the counter and then they bring your drink to you. I kept my tab open. It took a little while for me to close my tab because the "baristas" weren't super attentive when I was there. Drinks (3/5): If you've never had kava or kratom, it's an experience. These spots are popular in Florida. They have a variety of flavors. Do some research on kava and kratom if you'd like to learn more about it. I'm not a big fan of the taste but I'm happy I tried it. Good bucket list item. Overall: If you've never tried kava or kratom, Speakeasy Kava is in a prime location in downtown St. Pete. If it's your vibe, stick around and hang out for a while. Or grab your drink to-go.

What a lovely brunch spot! Stepping into Sugar Baby Cafe was a unique experience for Seminole, FL…read more It honestly gave me that trendy coffee shop vibe you would expect to find in St. Pete, super aesthetic and very picture worthy! The vibe was very cozy, clean, and hip, mixing modern design with rattan accents and a dash of greenery. It felt clean, cute, and really thoughtfully put together! Service was great. The staff was friendly, patient, and actually took time to explain popular items without rushing me at all. Loved that!! Parking is a bit limited. It is a small lot with a simple pull-in and back-out setup right onto the road, so it can feel tight. That said, I went around 11am and it worked out just fine with no hassle. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon (plus $2 extra) and homemade lemon aioli on a toasted brioche bun and wow... the presentation was next level. I definitely took way too many photos before even touching it, no regrets! It tasted as good as it looks. Taste-wise, it was sweet, fresh, and super creamy with really nice texture. I also ordered the matcha latte, which was a bit disappointing. The ratio leaned heavily toward milk, making it very milky and lighter in matcha flavor than I expected. Wait time was quick, and pricing felt fair for the quality and experience. Overall, this is such a fun spot for brunch lovers, cute café dates, or anyone just wanting a sweet treat moment. I would 100% come back again!!

The service was so friendly and the kind girl at the walkup window helped walk me through the menu since it was my first time. I got the golden eagle with sugar free and it was good. I'd definitely recommend their drive thru seems busy but we avoided the longer wait by coming to the walk up window. The only bummer thing is they didn't have outdoor seating

I'm generally a fan of their coffee & their customer service is always solid so I made it a point to stop by on my way out of town. I already knew what to expect when pulling up to their drive thru but it's always cool to see what seasonal drinks they're running at the time. I can only speak for their coffee but they also have a nice variety of other drinks to choose from. They offer teas, energy drinks, lemonades & chai beverages along with a few others. You can get your drink served hot, iced, or frozen/blended, as well. The banana bread drinks they were offering caught my eye this time around so I figured I'd try something new. I ordered a simple banana bread cold brew with cream, no sugar & no foam top along with one other drink, simple enough you'd think. However, when I got to the window my cold brew was loaded with all the sugary goodness like they usually offer it. I'm one to pick & choose battles so I took it for what it was because knew it'd be tasty at the end of the day. While yes it was tasty, it wasn't even close to what I ordered. Unfortunately, when you're paying almost $7 a drink something as easy as that shouldn't be messed up. The 2 employees I interacted with were incredibly nice & the service was fast, albeit a little inaccurate. This isn't enough to keep me from coming back but I just hope it'll be right next time. I've never really had issues at any other DB location so I understand it might've been new location jitters that'll be fixed. I guess we'll see next time around!
