I've been here many times now and it's amazing!!! Everything I've order was perfect and my favorites are the wave burger and the peach hibiscus salad. I also went to breakfast here for the first time and the parfait was beautiful and delicious! The view is GORGEOUS and the atmosphere is so fun and beachy. I really love a spot that has allergens clearly marked on the menu! It's a bit strange if you come on the weekends between 1-2. They have a layover menu between the brunch & dinner menus, but it still has a lot of the popular choices. The peach hibiscus salad was good, but didn't really taste much like peaches. The chicken was moist and perfectly cooked. They have limited NA options, but made me a mocktail off of the menu. Awesome summer dining facility, 3/4 open air, patio and lake views. Big bar with many seats. Menu is a bit small, but smash burger was good, waygu roast beef was iffy, very dry. Disappointed with bar service, bartender was disengaged, charge $19 for a bombay sapphire martini (retail that bottle is $24) highest upcharge I've seen. We bought at least 5 drinks, but only time I ever got a water glass fill without ice (see pic attached) read more

We had dinner here while in town and I was blown away. First, we were told there was a 45 minute wait, but immediately the manager let us know they could sit us out in the detached pool bar building and serve us there. We accepted and had no issues in service or timing or anything. We got the chips with onion dip (obsessed), and my mom had the katsu sliders (huge hit), stepdad had one of the salads, and I got the grilled cheese. The pink drink that is their take on a pina colada (can't remember the name) was SO GOOD. I enjoyed my poke bowl and and my two friends enjoyed their food also. However, I'm not sure I would come back until they figure out the acoustics problem inside. It was buried hard to hear people talk at our table or the waitress when she was explaining things. I'm glad the bar and restaurant area is popular, but it was extremely loud. Maybe it's different when the doors to the outside or open, but I'm not sure as it was a chilly evening and they had the glass doors closed. read more

Great addition to Marblehead - stopped in for a cocktail and apps. Everyone loved the drinks they got. Would like to see just a few more cocktails on the list, but I'm sure it will grow during busy season. The apps came out quick and they accidentally put in a wrong dish for us but ended up fixing the dish asap. Excited to bring friends here in the summer. Plenty of parking (hotel parking). Such a fun trendy beach vibe- and the view is the best of any on the water restaurant in Marblehead. We felt like we were on the ocean vs Lake Erie. We ordered: walleye fish & chips, the burger, heirloom tomato sandwich, kids chicken fried rice bowl, the poke bowl & sushi donuts- everything was yummy & cooked right! We had a couple dietary needs & they accommodated them perfectly. We also ordered the skillet cookie for dessert & it was soooo good! I'm so happy to see this place receive a face lift and open! We stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It's bright and airy with a swanky feeling but not pompous a$$hole feeling. It was laid back and really enjoyable. Our server was attentive and friendly. I had a mimosa ($12) husband had the bulletproof coffee ($5) and we liked them both. I had a breakfast pita which was really good and came with freshly made chips. Interesting and very good. Husband had a breakfast sandwich with a blueberry compote and that was unique and delish. We watched freighters and birds coast by. We also checked out two rooms that are available to tour. They're really well designed and look very comfortable. My wife and I ate dinner at the Wave restaurant last night and it was awesome. We had the Hummus Crudite for our appetizer then my wife had the Wave Chopped Cobb and I had the Korean Fried Rice for our main course. We split a Skillet cookie, and we both had a cocktail. The bill was around 100 dollars with tip, which I thought was reasonable. Our waitress (Grace) was terrific also. She could answer any questions we had about the menu, and she was nice enough to laugh at my dad jokes. :) Lastly being able to look out over the lake was a nice treat. We had brunch today to celebrate a birthday. Haleigh was our very attentive waitress. The food was delicious: Cobb salad with steak, the Farmers omelet, and the paleo pancakes were all very tasty. The dessert, warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, was complimentary to celebrate the birthday. Pretty overrated overall. Ordered a ribeye. Chef doesn't know how to trim the silver fat on the outside, they also cut in the kitchen it before serving. That is not that common especially on a ribeye. Service surprisingly was not the best, friendly but forgot about us even with a small offseason crowd. They need a little more polishing on how to handle a dinner service. Less than a year old so they have time to address these issues before the summer crowds come. We had a great first time dining at The Wave this weekend. Excellent, friendly service from the second we walked in. We dined with our three young children, including a 6 month old, and the staff were exceedingly kind and thoughtful with the kids. Grace is an absolute gem of a server; she took great care of us and her other tables around us. The food was excellent and we really appreciated that Happy Hour is offered on Fridays! The view of the lake is beautiful, and we're excited to enjoy the patio this summer. We really felt appreciated as customers and it was great to see it so busy in the off season. We went for drinks about 10 pm and the place was busy, but the staff kept up with the service very well. There is a bar area that becomes inside/outside when the windows are pushed back, which is a neat concept and very modern, however the place was swarming with midges and we found ourselves swatting at them because they were covering our clothes and the walls. It made the place seem dirty. We had 2 cosmos that were good and 2 bottled beers because there is no draft available. The alcohol for the cosmos came out to $36, and then there was a 'cosmo fee' of $4 on top of that! Then, before we even paid, there was a transaction fee of another 1.49 or something like that which made it an obvious extortion of money. So, unless you get beer for $6, I would recommend continuing to the pub down the road over by the wine bar and get a $5 cosmo. we were disappointed with this place and don't plan to come back. read more
