The perch was so good. Kid friendly. Service was excellent. Tried a new Catawba island beer - my new favorite!

Amazing fried perch can be obtained at this restaurant! Very well prepared and their signature tartar sauce was amazing. We also ordered the fried green beans which we couldn't stop eating.

I enjoyed the perch tacos and obviously loved the Brandy Alexander. Staff were awesome and didn't make us feel too too crazy when we ordered ahi tuna to take home for our dogs Overall, the food was decent bar food, staff were great, atmosphere was great, so would recommend.

Delicious Perch and Walleye! Bites! Waitress came up and said I Love You! Regina is awesome.. 40th anniversary !! Loved it

Food was just what we were looking for but the service was awesome. Regina walked up and said ILove You! Awesome place!

    Brandy Alexander's all around!

Pitcher of Brandy Alexander was a tasty and fun drink to share - a unique cool drink (kind of like an egg nog shake) on a hot day. Great friendly service from the bartender, she even sang us a song on our way out!

Friday afternoon, 16 October 2020 -- Outside The Village Pump restaurant.

I visited during COVID-19 (Coronavirus) times in October 2020. This was my first stop for lunch on the first day that I arrived on Kelleys Island (Lake Erie, Ohio). LUNCH -- Their menu is large but just ask a server for help if you feel overwhelmed. I knew I wanted fish, since I was visiting an Island, so I ordered the Walleye (Fish) sandwich. The sandwich was pretty simple - it had a good amount of fish on a white bun with tomatoes and lettuce. I enjoyed my fish sandwich but it definitely could have used more flavour. I can't remember what my 3 friends ordered but they had no complaints with their lunch. VEGETARIANS -- This is not a good restaurant for vegetarians because almost everything on their menu is made with meat or fish. One of my friends is vegetarian and I believe she ended up just ordering a pretzel with cheese on the side. If you are looking for a typical American restaurant on Kelley's Island then the Village Pump is a reasonable option. Customer service was quick and efficient too. **** - 6/100 total reviews in 2021 - 425 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 2 January 2021

Hmmmm... I'd like to give it a higher rating. Seems like a cult favorite, but perhaps since there aren't a lot of options on Kelleys Island? The food was all tasty, it just wasn't all that special considering what we paid. Oh! Except for the clams. Hubby gave those two thumbs up. They are longer than he typically sees. Something he's actually noticed about western Lake Erie area. Perhaps same supplier? Does has lots of space to fit large groups.

If you're going to Kelleys Island, you're going to get hammered. It's a good idea to go to one of the most popular bars on the island. The Village Pump is one of the iconic bars. It's real close to the dock. This is good to catch a drink before you catch a ferry. Basically it's just a drunken mess inside the bar. Service is sketchy but usually you'll get your drinks or food eventually. The signature drinks here include their famous brandy. If you're looking for food, they have plenty of fried lake creatures. This isn't the entire menu but it's the majority. A non fried item is the lobster chowder. The walleye bites seem to be popular. If you're waiting for the ferry it's easy to grab a drink. Getting good food can take a bit long as this place can get packed. The drinks are okay but the food is overpriced and fried beyond recognition.

Famous lobster chowder and perch sandwich. Great stuff good time at Kelley's!

I just gotta throw down the 5 stars, this place is awesome here I am blowing off work and GD there's a bunch of island types doing the same! Love it. Day drink. Gotta watch it tho on the way up from Cle I passed i don't know, every cop in the state. Got the famous Richies homemade lobster chowder, it was great! Very different from the usual, big celery chunks with the lobster chunks in an orange broth. Great great great and the island pump is the place to do it. Loved it. The bar reminds me kind of like Brennan's fish house in grand river. This one doesn't remind me as much of the set of jaws tho. Famous perch sandwich everybody raves & of course it's great too. Light breaded perch, several pcs on there w lettuce and good tomato slices. I always skip the tartar sauce After Daytona. Don't ask. Man I smashed it all. I love this bar. Maybe it's the first time thing but hey i could sit here all day. $31 plus tip it was. Off season and the bar gals are working hard. Island is pretty sedate now, guys trying to walk their dogs but the dogs just wanna swim kinda thing with land lubbers like me driving their jeeps around bc it's cheaper than renting a cart for $14 an hour. Great time I wish I could do 10 stars!!!

Pot roast sandwiche it was brought out mostly cold. Had it remade.

We had both dinner and brunch here, we all got different meals so we got to try a little bit of everything. Oh and don't even get me started on the ice cream, the Mexican hot chocolate flavor was to die for!! Saturday night was pretty popular and the patio was full, so we sat inside, which is why our photos were rather dark. We started with a round of drinks. I had a glass of rose. Note that the drinks menu is several pages longer than the food menu, with beer, wine, and a variety of specialty and standard cocktails. They also have an espresso bar. It wasn't on the menu, but we ordered the Street Corn dip from the specials board on the sidewalk. We got a nice sized serving, and it was very good. I had the za'atar roast chicken for my entree, and it was delicious! The chicken comes with a lemon yogurt sauce, and Fattoush salad, but the salad was kind of a cross between Fattoush and tabbouleh, with pita chips and a grain base. It was a great combo, and the chicken was very juicy and seasoned nicely. I ended up with a slice of the almond cake, which was moist and had sliced almonds on top. Very much needed after missing out in the ice cream stop this afternoon! One of my friends had a bowl of gumbo and the other one had the taco pie. Since everyone enjoyed their dinner, and we confirmed that the patio was dog friendly, we returned with Miss Pup for brunch. We were able to snag a patio seat with a super friendly server. Miss Pup mostly hung out under the table, but managed to convince some other diners to pet her. We went with some plates for the table - Chicken and Waffle, Chilaquiles, and the special Quiche, which had sundried tomatoes, bacon and feta. All 3 portions were just right for us. The chicken was really moist and the waffle had slightly crispy edges. It came with some fruit and syrup. The quiche slice was generous and it came with a large portion of salad with a fruity vinaigrette. The sundried tomatoes were a really fun addition! I chose the chilaquiles. I'm pretty sure the chips were fried fresh (the ones last night were not), and I liked that it had beans and pico on top! This dish did not contain enchilada sauce, it was more like breakfast nachos, but I really enjoyed it. This place is definitely worth a stop, and the menu stands out from the standard island fish and chips and burgers fare (not that I dislike those things, just something different)!

Most were more like gastropubs. We desired something a little more upscale. We decided on Bay Harbor. We had no idea it was IN Cedar Point. I got mildly frustrated but a parking attendant assured us that we would be comped for the parking cost so I settled down some. We had reservations by the outside railing to view the sunset during dinner. The sunset is obscured by trees so that wasn't amazing but the weather was perfect so it wasn't too much of an issue. We're generally indecisive people when it comes to the food. It all sounded appetizing so my wife asked our server about her favorite dishes. Through that conversation and the discussions that followed, we got to know our server a little bit. We shared with her how we met (working together in a restaurant). Her husband also works at Bay Harbor. We shared stories about our spouses that were humorous and we got to know one another a little bit more. Cassie became very personable during these conversations and it really made our night a little more enjoyable! She was the sweetest server! The food was great! The Bang bang shrimp appetizer was delicious. I had a red snapper that was the special for the evening. It was very good. My wife wanted to try the lobster bisque. I understand why it's award winning! My bride of 27 years had the shrimp and scallop linguini. I tasted it. It was pretty tasty. But honestly, the best part of the whole experience was our fantastic service. Thank you, Cassie!!!

The sound was great, and we were pretty close to the stage. They do let "members" in 5 minutes early, but even with our delayed entrance we had close seats. The gentleman I assume is the owner did a short introduction after telling us about future shows, and he chatted with the crowd after Charlie ended his show. It was all very cozy and I would come back for another show. There is a 2-drink minimum and the selection, while small, is fine. We were also told to ask for anything we didn't see. They also offer chips or pretzels as a snack during the show. After the show, Charlie did a meet and greet in the lobby. It's always a treat to tell the artist how much you enjoyed his show. :-) We got a great deal on a room for the night that included the ticket cost. Our room was on the main floor. We really enjoyed our stay.

It's actually inside of a hotel and is easy to miss if you don't know the area. We also had a difficult time figuring out where to park. To get into the venue you have to walk into a hotel lobby and check in. We were amongst the first to check in because it was important for us to sit up front. The way they had the seats put out were in rows and the front row had maybe about 8-10 spots. It's a small venue so most of the seats are good but I'm super picky about where I sit. I was happy the venue did not choose to shove a million openers at us. We only had to deal with one and the headliner came on promptly after. In order to use the restroom you had to exit the venue and go into the lobby. The acoustics sounded great and we were happy with the show. What made me deduct one star was their obnoxious 2 drink minimum policy. Neither of us drink so we were pretty annoyed that the waitress kept coming up to us and pressuring us to order drinks. She even interrupted the performance to take our order. Since neither of us drink one of us got a cup of plain hot water and I ordered a mudslide that I only took one sip of. It hurt paying $20 for something we did not drink so please beware of us. We were grateful that the drinks were not more expensive than $10 each at least. The hotel looked very cute and we were sorry we were not staying there. The owners seemed like lovely people and we did not come across one grouchy employee.
