The benefit of the site is its proximity to coastal attractions like Sea Lion Caves, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, lighthouses, hikes, Thor's Well, etc. The campground is sandwiched between the road and the ocean. So while you're not more than a few minutes walk from the long sandy beach, you can also hear cars whizzing by. They've got RV sites, tent sites, hiker/biker sites, yurts for rent, and firewood for sale. The campsites had great landscaping/foliage around them to separate them from other sites and protect from wind. Sandy, level ground in the tent sites made for a decent night's rest. Bathroom cleanliness was just okay when I was there, but at least they have flush toilets and hot showers available. The campsite and beach are dog friendly.

Today, they stated: We have spoken with management and further compensation has been denied as these concerns were addressed by our team in a timely manner. It took until the fourth day of a six night trip to get them to come out, and they scheduled future maintainace to address most of the issues, leaving a metal pot under the sink to catch drips. So much for customer service. Look elsewhere for a rental company, as it is now clear they simply do not care.

Kathy and her husband own and operate the cottages and they do a great job. We've stayed at several of the cottages now, and at the time each felt like our favorite. We booked a Bayview site, which was described as on somewhat of a bluff, with amazing views of the bay, the bay bridge, and in the distance, the beautiful Pacific Ocean. I'll include a photo of our non-view of anything except overgrown bushes. As I walked around the campground, I noticed that there are very few sites that allow for any kind of privacy. Many of the back in sites are shared, so that you back in to their back in.

Waldport/Newport KOA - Waldport, OR July 29-30, 2025…read more This KOA is just north of the Alsea Bridge crossing the wide mouth of the Alsea River. Staff were friendly and checkin was simple. We drove to our back-in site and got situated. Our site was supposedly a "Bayview" site. However our site had 8 foot tall bushes and trees behind it that blocked the view. We mentioned that to one of the grounds keepers. Big mistake on our part. For the next two days there was constant gas powered equipment cutting away at the shrubbery outside our camp. They didn't let up until 6:30 pm each day, so there was really no good time to sit outside to enjoy a beverage with no view. Since campers must check out at 11 am and new arrivals can't check in until 2 pm, I suggest they do campsite management between those hours, or other times when those campsites aren't occupied. We could see the view of the Alsea Bridge from our next-door neighbor's site, and I will say the view of the bridge is remarkable.

I can't emphasize enough how beautifully the row of windows takes advantage of the ocean views. It also had a well-equipped kitchen with lots of dishes and utensils, more than ample countertop workspace, modern appliances, and two dishwashers, which made it a pleasure to prepare meals and snacks. The very large dining table easily accommodated our group. We appreciated the fast Wi-Fi and the state of the art televisions and associated technology upgrades. This is the absolute best vacation rental I have ever experienced, and it made a great family get-together all the better. I highly recommend it.

We spent many hours around the dining room table enjoying meals prepared in the open, spacious kitchen, as well as visiting, playing Up the River, pinochle, and dominoes. The layout is perfect for visiting while cooking, and you can get a glimpse of the game on TV at the same time! Bedrooms were all comfortable with King or Queen beds, and each couple had their own designated bathroom. Beds were comfy with lovely linens; showerheads and flow were fantastic; and all lent to restful nights and happy hearts. From our well-equipped "home" we were able to enjoy the Oregon coast from Newport to Florence, many attractions within easy reach. So much comfort and peace, so many conveniences and luxuries, so much joy and renewal of family spirit! Thank you from five happy sisters and their so-amazing husbands!

I rented a 3 story house in Lincoln City for a 2 day stay. Looked beautiful on the internet. Got…read morethere garbage was full,futon broken propped to appear usable, TV trays filthy, TV in main common area unwatchable because there were speckles throughout the screen, no signal in master suite to watch TV, chairs wiggled scared it may give way as your sitting in it, carpets filthy stained I could not believe it. The list goes on and on I wont bore you with the additional aminities that were available that we could not use. Afterhours guy apologized and offered to make repairs that night I asked if he had a TV to replace the one we could not watch in the family area and he said no. I had just driven in and unloaded a car and had to feed my family. All of the maintenance should have been done and the place should have been clean prior to rental you should not intrude on the renters privacy. I have sent 2 emails to the company without response. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I will never utilize this companies services again and do not recommend them.

But it was not the house we had reserved a full year earlier. When we arrived at the coast, the home we we expected to stay in was occupied. My friends and I sat on the beach for three hours while the company tried to figure out what to do with us. Finally we were shown the Madeline house. We were promised compensation for our inconvenience, but only if we rented from the same company again the following year. We were charged a cleaning fee as well as an accidental damage fee, neither of which we were reimbursed despite the fact that we left the place in immaculate condition. Would I recommend this house to others? Yes, if you don't care whether you are treated fairly by the booking company. But there are eight of us who will never rent from this company again. I recommend you try somewhere else.
