I would like to take a moment to recognize two outstanding technicians at WAVE Imaging in Signal Hill, California, Jody and Rachael, for their exceptional professionalism, courtesy, and compassion. I have had several ultrasound procedures at WAVE Imaging, including one of them on August 14, 2026, as well as additional procedures a few months earlier. On each occasion, Jody and Rachael were absolutely wonderful. Both of them were very professional, courteous, patient, and reassuring throughout the procedures. Having an ultrasound procedure can sometimes make a patient feel nervous or uncomfortable, but their positive attitudes and calm, friendly personalities made me feel much more relaxed. What impressed me most was the way they handled themselves with patients who may be nervous or uncertain about the procedure. They took the time to make me feel comfortable and treated me with genuine kindness and respect. Their professionalism never changed throughout my visits, and it was obvious that they truly care about the patients they serve. Jody and Rachael are excellent representatives of WAVE Imaging and are a tremendous asset to your organization. Their combination of technical professionalism, compassion, and a positive attitude is exactly what patients need when they walk through the door. "My experience only". Doctor sent me to this location to get a Chest X-Ray performed. My doctor was very addement that I get this done as soon as possible because of the diagnosed condition I may have, regarding my lungs. It was a walkin and the front admin stated that there was no openings for walkins at this time. She recommended another wave imaging center which is on South and Palos Verdes. I made her check to make sure walk ins were available and that I can make it in 15 mins to that location. I was very addement that she double check that it was a GO, and stated that if I show up they would have a spot for me as a walkin. I clearly stated that I dont want to waste my time driving all the way up. So I ended up at the Palos Verdes South St. Lakewood location. Arrived at 345pm, made it before closing time which was 4:30pm. The results .. I was REJECTED! I was very upset with the entire situation! It all goes back to the admin at the Signal Hill location. Her name was DULCES, she supposedly double and triple checked when I asked her about walk ins. She verified and was confident I will be admitted for a walkin. Absolute dissapointed with Dulces statement. She should not be so confident and sure that someone will be admitted. To my observation, she just assumed. Negative for my entire experience. Dulce was incompetent by sending patients to other locations. Lack of knowledge, estimated by assumption. Overall, the Signal Hill location had plenty of parking and the location was clean. read more

Beware mammogram patients - the doors to the waiting room, or what I call, the "cattle pen" have no doors, curtains, etc to maintain privacy. Women sit in that waiting room in our exam shirts. People walk up and down the hallway and we are in full view. There were two male repairmen working down the hallway. Where are the privacy standards? It was humiliating. read more

This place is awful. When you walk In, the walls are filthy, paint is peeling on the wall behind the front desk and the corners. The girl at the front desk was eating LOUDLY with the patients in the waiting area. When I finally got called to go into the back, the dressing room only had two lockers for multiple mammogram patients. Just very unprofessional and dirty. So, this was my second visit here. I now realize that your experience is a direct result of which service you receive. I came for a mammogram. I hate having them done. They always hurt and they press down too hard on my breasts. I've had ok experiences with techs that were quick and less painful. This was my worst experience by far! The tech was very difficult to understand. She had a mask on and spoke another language. It was almost impossible to understand her instructions. She was very rough and forceful. She kept pushing and pulling me in different directions. I wanted to walk out. I literally said ouch multiple times. There was zero personality and bed side manner. I walked out angry and in pain. A few hours later I was still sore. I was also itchy. I had red marks like hives along the sides of my breasts. I don't know if it's from the cleaning solution on the machine or trauma my breasts endured. This is still a very small facility and the wait time is very short. But, I will not return for a mammogram here. I would return for the xray services. read more

Super Friendly Front Office Staff In the AM and PM shifts. Smiled as I walked in and helped me with my needs in less than 15 minutes.

This place is a dump and run by the most incompetent and unprofessional staff. These are not healthcare professionals. I sat around for over 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time! Without any word about why there was an unreasonable delay. Further, the office manager is so incompetent he had no clue the assigned tech was so behind on the appointments. Zero RESPECT for patients time or comptence. Memorialcare should not use this service provider, this reflects very poorly on MemorialCare and its commitment to patient care. These are the services they offer: MRI CT (without contrast) DEXA (bone density) Mammography (Screening, Diagnostic, 3D-TOMO) Ultrasound (non-OB) X-Ray There are 2 check-in desks. The main one is for everything but mammogram. Mammogram check-in is through the doors to your right. Receptionist's were nice and thorough in explaining what I was signing and what I was paying for. It doesn't look like much from the lobby but as you go through the many hallways, you'll notice it's a big place. My technician was giving no frills. She was straight to the point get 'er done. I was partly scared lol partly appreciative that she wasn't hand-holding or coddling me. Overall, she was very professional and diligent. 10/10. The place just needs a refresh. Maybe brighter paint to lighten up the place. read more

Came here to get an X-ray for our son's toe. It's in a shared lot with an allergy center. Parking lot was packed but we were lucky to find an open spot in front. The place was very busy with 3 people ahead of me in line but the employees were working at a great pace to keep everyone moving along. Waiting area was tiny in the front but they did have a second waiting room which was a little more spacious. 5 minutes after checking in, we were then called up in groups of 3's and were asked to sit in another small waiting room directly across from the X-ray room. It seemed each patient only waited about 3-4 mins to get X-rays done. Employees were all friendly and very efficient! read more

This place is a joke! Very unorganized and gave the wrong diagnosis from my X-ray. The radiologist said I had a fracture, so paid to see a specialist where I had new X-rays and said I had no fracture. I shared the X-ray from Wave Imaging and the Dr said he had no idea how she same up with that diagnosis as there were no signs of a fracture from either X-ray. The website also CLEARY states that walk-ins are welcome, however if you arrive without an appointment you'll be turned away. They tell you it's not their problem that the website is wrong. read more

Check in experience was good, BUT THE BACK OFFICE EXPERIENCE SUCKED. Jenny was a grouch very rude. You know this is a public service job if you don't like it find another job. I was at the Signal Hill location in January 2026 for a sensitive ultrasound test that requires me to drink 32 oz of water AND not use the bathroom before the procedure. When I arrived, the front desk person (Saaid?)said the imaging tech was behind, possibly only 15 minutes. My appointment was at 1:15. Fast forward, I waited until 2 pm (45 minutes) and the tech was still with another patient, so we had no idea when they would be available. Because of the amount of water I had, I told him to cancel my appointment because I physically could not wait for who knows how long for the tech to be available. I was very upset and feel like this was massively unprofessional; if the tech was an hour behind (and why were they behind that long?), I should have been contacted so I could come in later and not drink an insane amount of water (and have to hold it). Scheduling things happen, but let your patients know in advance so they're not wasting their time. I got a referral to another facility because I don't want to have a second bad experience at this place. Only positive was the front desk person was friendly to me, even when I was clearly not happy. I had an appointment there, and booking the appointment I asked if you could see something specially with the type of ultrasound I needed. They told me yes, (which was the wrong information) I had to pay $145 for this appointment and yet it was the wrong one. I reported this to the office in hopes of some kind of compensation for me having to pay for the wrong procedure. The supervisor Carlos, was not only rude over the phone but also in person, not understanding from a patient standpoint that I asked for clarification and was told the wrong information. As I spoke to him he not only was rude but was dismissing me by looking as his Apple Watch as I was talking. Appointments are easy to make and they provide timely service. Based on past experience, the quality of their work is very good. My negative comments are on the office in general. Upon entering, you would think no one is present. The receptionist sits in the dark, her choice. All you hear is a voice. It gave us a bit of a scare on our first visit. The reception area is in direvneed of a paint job! Lastly, when exiting the office, the exit doors were locked! A true safety violation. I may be picky, but that is my style. This review is NOT related to the actual services, since the patient did not even get to have anything done. We had an appointment scheduled on a specific day, had all of the information sent to us (how long to fast, what time to arrive, etc.). As the patient's daughter, I also received a text confirming the date and time. We arrived at the office, which is confusing - the larger desk had many staff members just staring at us, no one helped us. We ended up going to the smaller desk/room. We spoke to one of the girls at the desk and told her the patient was checking in for the appointment. The girl at the desk then hesitated and asked if we had received any communication regarding a rescheduling. I said no, and was confused. She said there was a note on file that said "the appointment had been rescheduled to ___ at ___." I was shocked and was also told that they spoke to *me* a few days earlier and I rescheduled it. This is 100% false - firstly, I will be out of the country on the newly rescheduled date. Why would I, the person taking care of the patient, reschedule to a day I cannot make myself? Secondly, I checked my phone history and I did not answer ANY calls on the date they claimed. We were sent home. When I got home, I called the office. Whoever I spoke to did not pay attention to anything I said. After going through her motions, she said "Oh, this has already been rescheduled," even though I had already told her it was wrongly rescheduled. Even though there were notes on the file, she said there is "no way to know who wrote them." I have a hard time believing this. I asked her who I could speak to, to complain about this situation and report it. She connected me to someone else, didn't even tell me who. When the call finally went through after I was on hold, it went to a weird voicemail that listed a bunch of letters instead of a name or department. Anything related to medical procedures should be treated with care and timeliness. In this case, there is an issue and the scheduled procedure is supposed to help diagnose a potential issue. Now that we were denied service (with no reasoning and no attempt at correction), the patient could be sick longer and the issue can potentially get worse. There is currently no resolution, no acknowledgement that a mistake was made, and no consideration for the patient. Horrible experience. read more

OUTSTANDING! I set up an appointment online in two minutes. Three hours later I was down at my appointment. I arrive at 2:30 and by 2.55 I had my X-ray done and was back in my car. The ladies at the front desk were polite and friendly and efficient. So was my X-ray tech Anaid. She got the job done quickly and perfectly. Maybe the best X-ray experience I've ever had in my life. Their medical billing department is a nightmare. For an entire year, I've been harassed by collections for a procedure that I was 100% covered for. I even owe interest now. They admitted fault by saying they accidentally billed the wrong insurance company and that I am indeed covered. Each and every time they tell me they will "fix the issue and take you out of collections," I end up in the exact same spot i started. I unfortunately had to change imaging centers as their management has done absolutely nothing to remedy the issue. An entire year has passed and I'm still in collections. Its absolutely frustrating being ill and getting absolutely no assistance. Every time I ask for a manager, they direct me back and forth to different operators who are not managers. Not recommended, especially if your dealing with health issues. Absolutely disappointed. read more

Called to make an appointment for my elderly mother when I spoke to the staff on the phone they told me they were not taking appointments over the phone but they are taking walk ins till 5 to come on in! I'm at work so I had to order an uber for her to get there when she arrives this so called guy by the name "Carlos" claimed to be the office manager told her he would not see her they are not taking walk ins. My mother turns and calls me to tell me what's going on! I get on the phone with Carlos who now tells me he is the manager an only thing he could do was squeeze her in but refused to do it when I told Carlos I'm on my way to talk to him he left and come to find out he was not the manager these things are not okay in any type of field yet alone the medical field where he has access to private pt information if he lies about things like this an treats the elderly the way he does knowing the mobility an transportation issue they have what is he doing behind closed doors when ppl Can't see him!!! I hope management removes him no company should have any employee representing there company that way nor should they allow him to impersonate a manager big issues with that!!! Close to home and easy to call to speak to a rep but, good luck finding an appointment time for their MRI. My mom needed an MRI done and the first one somehow got cancelled. By who? They couldn't tell us because they said they weren't able to see that information. I called back and told them my mom needed it for surgery for cancer. She was rescheduled for 2 more weeks. They said they placed her on a cancellation list and will give us a call once something becomes available. The second time, I get a call saying the machine is down. They will not reschedule you immediately even though it's something on their end. The next appointment is in November! I explained to Veronica, the appointment had been cancelled twice and if there's any other location. She said no, Long Beach is the only location that does MRI. She said she even checked with her supervisor. Please provide more training to Veronica at one of your call centers. And come up with a better system for when your machine goes down. Avoid this place unless you want to receive a surprise bill 9 months later. I received a bill shortly after my visit & paid it. Then months later received a bill of over $100 dollars due to their staff's error & it was too late to pay it with my FSA account.
