They ruined my silk item and when I called them on the phone about it (ripped fabric and very faded) they offered to pick it up and have the owner call me. I showed the delivery man the rips and the color fading. The owner never called. I called a week later and he told me he fixed the rips and I said but there's no way to fix the color. He tried arguing me that the item was very old and that's why it was faded; I said I still had the receipt from only a few months ago. I never got my stuff back, refunded or given a credit. For that reason, I can't fully describe how thrilled I am to have found Waverly Wu. The clothes are impeccably clean and folded and, most of all, nothing has ever been ruined -shrunken, stretched out, stained, burned (yes, that has happened with another service) or lost- even the special care stuff that was put in the bag by accident. I have been using Waverly Wu for almost 2 years. Up until recently they have been a great service. The last time I had a service pickup, I asked the man if he could wash a pair of platform sandals. The man said yes and took them with the laundry. When I got my laundry dropped back off, the sandals were not there. When I called to explain the situation, Waverly Wu refused to believe that the sandals were ever picked up. (I eve had a witness see the pickup). I asked to be reimbursed the value of the sandals and they not only refused, but they were very rude and argumentative over the phone. This is extremely disappointing after I, together with my roommates (4 of us), have spent thousands of dollars with Waverly Wu as our go to laundry service. I do not want to begin using a new service but I do not feel that I have been given the respect I deserve as a customer. The last time I called to discuss the matter, the manager yelled at me and hung up the phone. I no longer recommend Waverly Wu. I do not think it is unfair to ask to be reimbursed for the value of a missing item. I understand that mistakes happen, but it is important to treat your customers with respect and dignity when something goes wrong. read more

Never again.... So not so sure where all these +ive feedbacks coming from. We first moved into Brookly and after reading all those reviews we decided to go with it. 1) firs time they did the laundry and iron, they ripped ouf one of the buttons on the collar of one of my white dress shirts, leaving a hole in it, collar and cuffs are way too dirty to be called cleaned (now I never expect any cleaner to clean those spots as good as new, but those were just too obvious) 2) they fixed it (cleaned it again and put another button on it, not ideal but I just left it; but then I was told when the laundry/dry clean is done, you have to call him to let them know they can drop off "because we have too many customers" you might not care but I appreciate a auto drop off when things are done 3) so instead of making sure #1 doesnt happen again, they dry cleaned all my dress shirts without asking me for a consent ($5/ per shirt vs reg. price made me raise my eye brows a bit), because "boss said first time they were no good, so we have to dry clean your shirts" after that, NEVER AGAIN. read more

The best option in a neighborhood that doesn't really have any. It sort of annoys me that the staff is always eating right next to the washers/dryers, since I think the point of doing laundry is removing food odors, not incorporating them. Pricing is OK. I drop off occasionally and have never had any problems. read more

I really liked this service at first because of the simplicity and on-demand pick-up, but they are constantly making mistakes and accidentally destroying clothing. I've had to throw out several items because of bleach stains. When you let them know, they are unapologetic and don't want acknowledge they made a mistake. Also, I know they are washing my stuff with other people's because I have received other people's stuff by mistake and they have lost some of my garments. Also, I've had white garments come back with dark stains on them, even though I separated them prior to pick up, and asked they be washed separately from darks. read more

Have been using this laundromat for over 6 months without fail ... until recently. I called to let them know I was missing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Their reaction? "We will check the security cameras." I'm pretty sure someone did not just walk in and take a few things from my laundry bag. BEWARE!! I don't review places often, but my experience compelled me to share it with others. On this past Tuesday I needed to do laundry because I had an interview coming up on Thursday. Seeing all the marvelous reviews I gave them a call around 11 am. They show up about half an hour later to pick up my clothes and I give them clothes to be laundered and folded and about 7 shirts to be washed and pressed. Reading that a lot of people got there clothes the same day I thought there was potential for it, but didn't hold my breath because my past experience was in by 10'out by 5. So the next morning I call to get an approximate time of arrival to make sure I was home and they tell me it won't be delivered until 7:30 pm or early the next morning (Thursday morning). I thought that was a bit long of a turn around time, but I wasn't too concerned because it would be delivered in time for my interview. Thursday morning around 7:45 I call and they tell me it will be there within half an hour. They delivery guy shows up and only has my laundered clothes, not my wash and press shirts...the most important thing. He tells me they won't be ready until 7 pm tonight when I ask why they aren't ready. He gives me a cock and bull story about how they send it off and the person they send it to didn't bring it back yesterday so they have to wait for them to bring it today. UNACCEPTABLE! I had to argue with him for 10 minutes before he called someone only to tell me the exact same thing again. I told him to bring me my clothes ASAP and upon return he would receive payment. At no point was the delay communicated to me at no point did they mention only my laundered clothes were ready when I called to have my things delivered. In reality they probably wouldn't have brought any of the items until this evening...if they were ready. So all in all it took over two days to get maybe 5 lbs of clothes washed and to hand off shirts that as far as I know were never washed and pressed. Now I have to go buy a new shirt just to wear to my interview because of their untimeliness. I would NEVER recommend this place nor will I ever use them again, I can't stress this enough. (The one star is only because I have to give these jokers some kind of a rating). read more

As a first time customer, I am very disappointed in their service. I dropped off my laundry Sat. afternoon and was asked if the phone number I gave them was correct because they would call to make sure I am home first before delivery the next day. Sunday afternoon I called to make sure I was still getting my laundry only to be rudely told that I SHOULD HAVE CALL THEM. Again as a first time customer how was I to know this if this is not explained to me. After I explained that this is what I was told when I brought my laundry in they made it seem that it was my fault. I was so disgusted with the conversation, I just asked that since I AM HOME just delivery my laundry and that I will take my business elsewhere. I was then informed that was okay with them and hung up on . I was so angry that I couldn't even enjoy putting up my laundry like I usually do.
