Solid Wawa... actually better than expected. Clean, well stocked, well made etc... only negative is the parking. Absolutely horrible.

Good little wawa. Very busy during the day. Would be 5 stars but the parking lot sucks. Good store and good service.

I recently had a dreadful experience at the Main Street CVS…read more I was informed that my meds would be available for pickup and, wanting to get them before the huge snowstorm, hustled over there. At the sign-in counter the screen said, "No prescriptions available." The young woman at the counter told me it was an insurance issue and to check with someone else. That staff member informed me that "someone had already picked up my script." I knew I hadn't sleepwalked to CVS earlier that day so I was truly baffled. After being told a dozen times I had already picked up my meds, or someone had, I was almost in tears. It was surreal. Someone else told me they had to "run the CCTV footage" to determine if I--or "someone"--had been there an hour prior, stealing my rash cream and antidepressants. I left the store to give them a chance to watch their footage. I returned a few hours later, only to be told "I had already picked up my meds." I found myself saying to basically the whole pharmacy, "I'm the one with the rash! No one wants my rash cream!" Finally, they agreed to hand over my meds. Nightmare.

The drive-thru is now closed with no explanation, and the staff inside is unfriendly and unhelpful. I went to update my insurance and spoke with the pharmacy manager, Sam. He seemed overwhelmed and stressed, and while I understand it was busy, his behavior was unprofessional. There was suddenly a large charge on my prescription that I've never had before. Instead of helping, he told me he couldn't and tried to rush me away. I called my insurance from the store, and they needed to speak with him because he had information only the pharmacist could provide. He told them he didn't have it and hung up. When they called back, he was rude and hung up again. I transferred my prescription to another CVS and had zero issues. This location has gone downhill, and my experience with Sam was especially disappointing. I won't be returning.

Mason's is a fantastic corner store that has been reliable for decades…read more They have the regular corner store junk food, but they also carry actual grocery products (particularly things like eggs, dairy, bacon, ground beef, etc.) at reasonable prices. Their deli is great- cheap sandwiches that are made on the spot, in front of your eyes, in a hygienic work area. By the door they have a cooler full of frozen products ranging from Stauffer's dinners to popsicles and ice cream. They also sell lottery tickets. There are other corner stores around, including one just up the block, but Mason's feels like family, and their prices and products can't be beat...

I will be leaving beautiful Roxborough within the next few months and this little store is... yep, the Only Thing I'll Miss. They've got your basics: soda, juice, chips, dish soap, lottery tickets, cigarettes... They also have a deli though, which is pretty bangin'. The two guys that work there are there 7 days a week, about 11 hours a day and are way nicer to people than i would ever be in their position! I've been in for cat food or something dumb, and found myself a dollar short, and they're like, "that's okay jess, bring it later." i go in to wash my hands after i had to take the trash out and didn't feel like going back to my apartment. The best story i have is this though: i was walking my boxer friend, Jake, and i'm on the phone and i walk out of my house and shut the door... sans keys. and i have to be at work in 45 minutes. and the only person with keys to my house is in Tennessee. and i have a dog and my cell phone. and the landlord is in Ocean City. after freaking out for like, an hour or some shit, i go into Mason's and explain my dilemma. Ravi gets a damn ladder, hoists himself onto the roof and breaks into my apartment to go through and let us back in!!! Now THAT is customer service.

About sandwiches, apparently they're using the same meat until it gets over. Even if its expired one. I saw the same meats in open plastic wraps for nearly a month. They use the same set of disposable plastic gloves for days. Depending on how busy ti is , they'd even skip cleaning the knives and the meat slicers machine they got jsut to make a sandwich quickly. The lettuce is old and dry, they jsut sprinkle water to amke it appear fresh. Same thing with every other eatable item. I happen to talk to another customer who said he was served stinky chicken salad. Lettuce is always old and dry. And most of the food items are either expired or close to expiry. Dont get me started on the random paper price tags on all the products that are $2 more than market price even. If you're buying something to eat, check thoroughly for tis expiry. And I've personally seen little mice running around after sunset. The only thing they're good at is pushing old retired ppl to buy more lottery tickets and questionable smoke stuff.

They have a good stock of of cold, non-alcoholic drinks (Bai5 for one) and soda. The hoagies and deli sandwiches are freshly made to order, always delicious and substantial in size so you can eat well for under $7. Amoroso rolls delivers there a few times a week. If I stop in for a sub, I can usually only eat half at a sitting so I get 2 meals out of one sandwich or my grandparents get a good meal for themselves for a decent price and it's just a stroll for them to get there. They do a brisk business, but there are never any loiterers or panhandlers, the parking area is always clean and the hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 7 days a week. Pretty much people just coming and going, not upsetting the flow or peace or flavor of the neighborhood, unlike GoPuff next door to Commissary Food. My grand parents, who are retired, and a lot of their neighbors on The Ridge (as they call it) do a lot of their shopping here for non-perishables, so I guess the prices are okay for the convenience. It's a low key place that has been here for a few decades and lots of people around here rely on it, so 2 thumbs up. New is not always better.

Freshly sliced cucumber should be milky white and not glassy looking. Do better with your product rotations, Narb. Re the 99%: Wawa corporate, I know that the hoagies I get from your stores are never going to match a real hoagie made at an Italian deli. Example: John's Village Market in Wayne or the Holy Grail of anything I'd get at the Italian Market or in SoPhilly. That's ok. All I'm expecting is a good sandwich with fresh ingredients that's a good value. I can usually rely on just that. Not with the chicken salad (and probably not with tuna or egg salads, either). I know your model is three scoops of the salad and I know you're expecting customers are going to add lettuce, etc., but this is still a ridiculously small amount of chicken salad for a 10-in roll. This hoagie isn't worth $6. It's mostly roll and a roll costs, retail, about 69 cents. Those cucumber slices, 6 of them, cost a few cents. You can't tell me 3 small scoops of mostly mayo, celery, and scallions is a few dollars worth. No. It isn't. You need to do better.

However, the things that make this Wawa great remain. The healthy options, how convenient it is and the friendly staff. I will take this Wawa over any 7/11, gas station store or another Wawa. The Penn Valley Wawa is on the way towards downtown Narberth and Bala Cynwyd so it is usually packed during the week. However, the fantastic staff keep the lines running smoothly. Another great thing about this Wawa is the parking, which is very easy compared to other local Wawas. Food wise, this Wawa is great. Fresh takeaway items, refreshing drinks and homemade hoagies and hand spun milkshakes. The renovations have resulted in some more coffee and soda options. Hoagie wise, I feel that Wawa always does a solid job. However, I have always preferred Subway or a true Philly hoagie compared to Wawa's hoagies. However, with a new kitchen and the Bryn Mawr Subway closed this may be my new go to hoagie spot. The store is always well kept by the staff. If you come enough they will eventually get to know you by name. It gives this Wawa a mom and pop feel. This Wawa is always well stocked with utensils, condiments and garnishes. Finally, this is the only Wawa where every staff member knows how to use the Wawa app. I love the renovations and I can't wait to return!
