Falafel in a Pita with fries
Dejah D.

I'd give this place a thumbs up! Ordered for lunch on DoorDash as I've been trying to make my way around trying a few eateries in my area that I've had my eye on for a while--Yiro Yiro was one of them. I'm pescatarian so making a decision on what to get was fairly easy as falafel was probably the only option besides the lamb and chicken. The falafel were fresh and flavorful, veggies were crisp and fresh and the fries were surprisingly still crispy upon arrival. Was not a fan of the spicy feta or hummus but the tzatziki was on point! Not sure that this is worth $17, especially because it's just chickpeas but that's just my personal opinion.

I enjoyed the Chicken Yiro with French fries. It's a great portion size; it was hot when I picked it up and reheated well to enjoy at home.

Ordered take out the other day and everything was BOMB!!!! Absolutely delicious. I got the Yiros in a pita with lamb & beef, fried zuchinni & Pork Skewers with a side of pita. The Meats were so flavorful and the fried zuchinni was so yummy they came with a delish white tzatziki cream. The portions were great and the prices are awesome. I will deff order again from here.

This place is amazing! Clean. I like clean places where you can see the clean or even smell bleach. The food is fresh and even the fries survived the drive home. I would return here again and realize they gave huge servings. I got the chicken yiro on a plate because it gave more sides. And it was worth it! The tzatziki sauce is perfect topper. I'm definitely returning and will tell others!

Holy moly this place was amazing!! I recently went to SpiceFinch in the city and got something very similar but this place was ten times better and half the price. Wish I tried it sooner.

Got take out from here while we running errands. Great packaging, easy to understand the menu and you can mix and match things. I love that they do fries in the Gyro. I ordered the lamb and beef with spicy tzatziki sauce and onions. Slightly heavy on the onions, but it was probably because I didn't get the tomatoes. Anyway the pita was slightly hard, and lamb and beef wasn't as seasoned as I would like it. But my SO correctly pointed it out that there are subtle differences between Greek and Mediterranean cuisines, and the lack of seasoning could be because of the authenticity. Definitely work the visit!!!

Great for a Yiro! I live in the area and stopped here twice. The first time I got the platter with lamb/beef, the villager salad, pita and tzatziki. The pita wasn't fresh with the platter and the meat was eh. Now when I got the chicken Yiro, so much better!! Pita was fresh, loaded with meat and tzatziki. It was the perfect fresh and healthy lunch!

Saw this place on DoorDash and it had me at baklava! So I decided to order dinner and it didn't disappoint. I got the Yiros on a Plate which included hummus, falafel, fries, pita slices and a mini villager salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, and feta cheese with an amazing Greek dressing). Lots of food and well worth the price. The falafel was amazing as it had a bit of a kick. The baklava was very good as well. I would highly recommend trying this place out.

This place is a tucked away hidden gem off Ridge Avenue that serves up fresh authentic Greek platters and sides. This is our second time eating here and leaving with a full belly and smile on our face. My girlfriend and I each got a beef and lamb platter, hers with rice pilaf, mine with French fries. The spicy tzatziki and cucumber salad added so much freshness and flavor. The zucchini fries side order with tzatziki is a must have add-on. The spicy tzatziki packs a nice balanced punch that doesn't overpower the well seasoned gyro meat. The spicy feta dip is a thicker dip perfect to dip their fluffy pita bread in. While the $15 price tag on a platter was a little steep, the quality of ingredients and generous portion sizes eased our minds. Overall, the quality is there and we will come back regardless of the price.

My first visit to the Roxborough location to try their gyro. There is on street parking on Ridge Avenue. The restaurant is bright and cheery with the color scheme. I decided on the beef/lamb gyro woth tzatziki sauce and the greek yogurt with strawberries, bananas, honey, and granola for my daughter. The menu allows you to either put it in pita or plate it. They offer chicken, pork, beef/lamb, and falafel. Then select sauce. You can add fries to the entree. I passed on the extra calories. There are a number of sides as well as salads. Plus two different desserts. On my next visit I will eat in so I can enjoy the food after it is prepared. Also, I want to try sides and dessert.

5 Piece Falafel (I ate one prior for taking the photo, hehe)

It was decent ( but in all fairness I had it delivered to me about 3 miles away) it's probably really good at the restaurant, or when hot

It's a good grab and go food place. The portions are large for the price. I wish their online ordering system worked better.

Merion Park Labneh: this labneh is thicker than other restaurants which I really like actually. the photo I insert may be deceiving, as it looks chunky. rest assured, it's absolutely smooth, just a thicker consistency than most labnehs. the spices on it are so so good. I think this is a must get along with a hummus. me and my sister are vegetarian, we share a hummus and a labneh and are decently full after those. we also snack on some small plates for the table (fries and olives) and leave full. Israeli Pickles and Olives: comes with two ramekins filled with varying sized pickles, not pitted olives, and some tiny yellow peppers I *think* are either pepper-chinos or at the very least taste similar. they also come with a small ramekin for the olive pits. The yellow peppers are very spicy, but I loved them. the olives are green, and i'd consider them friendly olives for those who are particular around olives. pickles were great as expected. French Fries: easy order for the table. portion is large and I think $8 is a steal for the quantity and quality. comes with a yummy ketchup my sister loves (she is considered a ketchup hater). COCONUT MALABI: I did not know what to expect. and honestly, first bite I was a bit confused by the texture, but by the end, I really liked it. its a thick pudding consistency, smooth, has a decent bounce to it, not too sweet at all, subtle coconut flavor. has a strawberry (I think) jam situation on top with some sort of crunchy thing. will be getting that again for sure. we had three people split this and it was enough. would consider getting two for four people though. service was quick, efficient, and kind. love the atmosphere. it has a sort of lively fun vibe to it. also we were in and out pretty quick without being rushed at all which is nice. just efficient. Also, I haven't tried them yet but they have a good little mocktail menu for those who don't drink!

If you haven't been since the renovation, be prepared for an entirely new, full-service restaurant space complete with a revamped menu, including entree plates, hummus, sandwiches, and desserts. The standout of the restaurant is still the hummus with jammy egg, but dishes like the sabich are very tasty (if not a little salty) in their own right. The atmosphere is fun and trendy while still being casual, and the cocktails are a fun pairing with the food. Overall, 4.5/5.

To that end, we never had problems with their food. We typically get their Make your own Bowl option. Their Slaw and Potatoes are very distinctive and delicious as base options. We appreciate how their Yeeroh Meats are actually shaved fresh and not some pre-packaged meat or something that isn't shaved, which kind of runs counter to the point. Their hummus is solid as well. The only thing to note is almost all of the veggie toppings aren't necessarily always prepared -- the tomatoes for example are straight up grape tomatoes they throw onto your bowl which could overpower the meal. Still would recommend them as a solid restaurant in the area. What you didn't come here for: - Water: There's no free water option (or at least if there was, I'd be suspect given Philly's reputation) - Restrooms: There is a single occupancy restroom in the rear but... - Accessibility: While it's wheelchair accessible, the path to the restroom gets tight since that hall is where they store their high chairs for kids as well. It could be workable but you'd need some help from someone to move things around for you. - Seating: There is limited seating up front but it's often enough. - Will it fill you up? Yes the serving sides are generous.

Tasted like it was old meat or had been left out for a while and not freshly made. We've ordered salads from here before the every dressing we've gotten has been bad. We've tried the Italian, Greek and Caesar dressings. We also tried the garlic eggplant dip last night and it truly tasted like fish. I lost my appetite after tasting that dip but it wouldn't have fixed the meal as it was so cold to begin with. Very disappointed because when the food is hot and fresh, it's nice, but we will not be ordering from here again.

I ended up creating my own bowl. I selected the steak, rice, cucumbers, tomatoes and a hummus. At Naf Naf Grill, it's all about fresh ingredients, flavor and the ability to create your meal as you would like. I ran into one minor issue when I went in and there was no pita available for purchase that night. They actually gave me extra hummus which I thought was very nice! I didn't like the steak as much as I had expected. The steak was a little chewy and difficult to eat. However, the fresh vegetables and the hummus were very good and helped make up for the steak! Overall, the experience was good enough for a quick grab and go type of dinner. Since it was convenient and they were open at the time I arrived, I would give them another chance if in the area again. The employees were helpful! The ingredients seemed to be good quality and Naf Naf was one of the only places in the area at the time open at night, so that made the restaurant a pretty good bet for a quick bite after a long day of work. There are probably some adjustments I can make to my protein selection next time, or some new options I can look into trying from the menu before I go back. But based on this experience, I would likely visit again if I'm in the area!
