I ate the first half - so good, why did it take me so long to try it?! I was full after eating the first half, I saved the other half for work the next day. We needed a quick breakfast, so we stopped in here. We used the kiosk to customize bagels. Sadly my order was very mixed up from what I had wanted. I wanted to add spinach but instead I got jalapeño & onion. The bagels are smaller than a normal bagel, but definitely still tasted good. The coffee station has lots of options to customize however you like. Hot or iced, different types of milk and toppings, anything you could need. This was my first time visiting a Wawa - it's better than most chain gas stations but doesn't compete with Buc-ee's. I appreciate the free air pump, but it didn't seem to work 100% correctly (I set the pressure to 35 PSI only for the device to stop at 31 for all tires). The inside was well stocked and clean. I had to try the Hot Gobbler after hearing so much about it. Big disappointment - I'd give it a 6/10. Very wet with all the gravy, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. It has a convenience store filled with everything you are looking for. From novelty items to hot/cold food menu; you won't leave the store without buying something. Also, there gas station with plenty of pumps. Typically good prices with good service. Plenty of parking on a main road, so it can be quite busy any time of day you go. Place is a bit dirty especially the bathroom and the hall leading to the bathroom. Floors looks especially dirty all over the store. Might explain why my soggy a$$ roast beef sandwich sucked oh so hard. I imagine If they don't care about the cleanliness of the bathroom and floors I can only imagine how the back probably looks where they make the food. Maybe I'm spoiled coming from South Florida but the staff at this location was less than helpful. My husband tried to order a smoothie but their ordering machines were down. He was told that the machines go "dark" from time to time and maybe they'll come back up but was not given a ETA as to when. We then asked if was could order in the app and the worker nonchalantly said you can try. At no time did she try to help my husband and she continued to go on with her work as if customer service was not important. Friendly staff who greet you good morning. Cashiers are quick and efficient. Once they forgot to put bacon in my sandwich and I mentioned to the manager the next time I stopped in. He was very apologetic and didn't charge me for the sandwich I bought that day. I appreciated that he understood the importance of bacon in any sandwich. I was impressed. My only issue is the location. This Wawa is on a very busy street in Hackensack so the parking lot gets a bit chaotic (trucks double parked in the rear entrance and people coming in through the side after getting gas) during rush hour and lunchtime. read more

Definitely a very good vibe at this Wawa, better than competitors or even other Wawas nearby. Although it can get kind of busy despite being tucked in a few blocks off of Rte. 46, the customer service here is excellent, and the employees aim to please--even when touch screens get temperamental or the rewards program doesn't work. Yes, I secretly love Wawa's for that quick bite to eat and on the go type-spots. I used to have to travel down south to get to one but now that they are opening more up North it's been a blessing. There is one pretty close to my apt that I frequent and the reason for this 5 star review is not solely based on Wawa themselves but also because of an employee that works there who goes out of her way to make your day, meet any accommodations you may have and just make the food all the more better. She is truly an asset to the company. Her name is Mary and she works in the food section at night. She is awesome and will find a way to make you something tasty when they are out of other items or you just feel like having something different. She makes things happen and she never has an attitude. We love her for that. Last night she created a pizza sandwich for me. It was delicious. She used white cheddar, Parmesan and provolone and added oregano, salt, pepper, marinara then put it on a toasted sub roll. It was fantastic. She does things like this all the time and I appreciate it because I have to watch what I eat. She is also never nasty and always has a smile on her face. I don't know what she gets paid but having been a manager for a few restaurants, she deserves 2 raises :) just for her extra efforts to keep customers happy and coming back, honestly.
