Not much of a bagel selection on this Friday morning (maybe a half doz plain, cinnamon raisin and…read moreegg) and two interesting looking flagels (flattened bagels), so I went with one of those flaties with house made vegetable cream cheese. I never had cream cheese spread on the outside of a bagel before, but as it wasn't sliced open, this was the easiest way to go. It was a little messy eating it that way, especially with so many sesame seeds falling off with each bite, but the texture and taste were very good. The marketing about the dough and water coming from New York seemed true, as that traditional chewiness and light sweet wooden water pipe flavor were present. The market was not well stocked, except for the wall of refrigeration cases for drinks, and the video games in the front corner. No tables for eating in. Best to check before you go to be sure the bagels you want are in stock and not in transit from the Big Apple, so you are not disappointed on arrival. 3 Bagel Stars based on low inventory. I attempted to correct the cashier, verified the signs that were plastered all over the closed-grill area and coolers... and she just wouldn't listen to me. I wouldn't know if I was purposely denied a deal or if she was just busy and chose not to help me, but this isn't the first time I've had an issue with cashiers not wanting to speak with me or assist me when there was a pricing discrepancy. There are too many times in which I was overcharged for no good reason. I'll add that the soda from the fountain lacks flavor (unsure if from lack of cleaning or if the sodas just aren't swapped out often), their chili machine has a tendency to be out and/or broken, and the location is at a very busy intersection. It's also very crowded and loud inside of the store, but that comes with living in Newtown, at this point.

Best to use the farther one if you're not getting gas for easier access.

I saw an advertisement for Picerno's Gas Station and that they were selling Philadelphia Eagle…read moreSuper Bowl LII hand painted Eagle's statues and decided to stop off when I was in the area. I started off my time there by filling up my car with some gas. I found the prices to be really great and it was a nice experience filling up! There was some cheerful, holiday type music playing overhead and filling up my tank was quick and easy! Once inside the confidence store, I was greeted by the sight of the Eagles statue and some other Eagle's memorabilia including pictures of their helmet and hats! They had some Phillies gear, as well. The inside of Picerno's is not too big, but they have a wide variety of snack and drink items including two refrigerators of drinks, nuts, donuts and candy. I decided to pick up a Dr. Pepper. The Eagle's statue that I bought was the small size and it was $99. However, I thought for the price it was a very good deal! The staff here are very friendly and so are the customers. Since I had my Eagle's statue someone held the door for me and let out a loud "Go Birds." They play the Saints tomorrow in the NFC Divisional Round! #FlyEaglesFly Altogether, Picerno's Gas Station is one of the greatest gas stations in the area and possibly in the country! We popped across the street to Sparta. I had their meatballs (in a cup; no roll, etc.) and a decaf (any size $1.89!). Both were fantastic- like truly. I was shocked - better than Wawa - esp the decaf (yay for not tasting like sweet brown water lol) ! This Jersey girl wishes we had Spartas!
