Got the Italian hoagie as well as the chicken tenders with fries. Hoagie was slightly above average. Great bread, fresh meats but the lettuce, tomato and onions were a little scarce. If they get it ironed out they would be definitely above average and a good go to. As for the tenders and fries. Fries were soggy and not crisp, think British chips where they are tasty but not crunchy. The tenders were good. I would say overall it's worth trying especially for the hoagies. read more

I recently ordered turkey hoagies and cheese steaks. I have ordered from here several times. The last few times I was very disappointed in the amount of steak meat that was in the steak sandwiches. Very very skimpy!! Also looking at the workspace behind the counter was filthy. Very unappealing!! I will not be ordering from this location any longer. Food is pretty good. Not great by any means. The reason for only 3 stars is the owner. He's a very condescending and unprofessional person. There has been times that I've pulled into the parking lot and if I see him there. I get back into my car and go somewhere else. Another that hat is weird is that the employees treat the store like it's the good old boys club. Talking about inappropriate things and just kinda goofing off. There is better options around. I have been getting the same order for 8 weeks. 6 times out of 8, it has been wrong. I order a Turkey hoagie with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onions dry. I get mayo a couple times, my onions are missing twice. The worst was the 2 times I have gotten hot pepper hoagie spread on it. You can not just take the hot pepper spread off. I am so angry about this that I will never order from this place again. This was a lunchtime order for an office, so it is not like I can take the hoagie back. Awful service. read more

Figured we try a couple of cheesesteaks to go from here, I ordered a cheesesteak hoagie and cheesesteak with fried onions. The older gentleman taking my order was rudely commenting on my order while I ordered a cheesesteak hoagie with mayo and hot peppers, he said really Mayo and hot peppers he also commented on cheesesteak with onions and ketchup. We also got some fries. Besides the cheesesteaks having no flavor and not chopped the order was wrong. $28.00 for flavorless food. Should of gone to Berardi brothers for a real cheesesteak. Canned mushrooms that never touched the grill, and the meat, it didn't appear grilled either...maybe microwaved? I'd expect to get a better cheesesteak from Wawa....let alone a hoagie house. Lee's has been a staple at my parent's house since I can remember. We recently returned for lunch for the family. Just so you know, though their website (and therefore Yelp) lists the address as the intersection of 2nd St. Pike and County Line Rd, Lee's is NOT at the intersection. It is a bit north of the Sunoco which is at the intersection. If using GPS or whatever try an address of 14 2nd Street Pike. The brown sign and interior evoke the early 80's. (Lee's in Southampton opened in 1983.) Hoagie's are priced about $5 - $7.50 per half roll (about a 12" sandwhich). You usually get asked if you want mayo or oil, onions and/or hot peppers (relish, not yellow banana peppers). I thought the service was ok. The guys behind the counter are usually friendly and fast. I think somewhere it says toppings can be extra but they gave us a bunch of free onions, pickles and hot pepper relish. Lee's also makes their own brand of potato chips which are good supplement to your hoagie. This time I ordered a 1/2 of the Italian hoagie which comes with 4 Italian meats and Italian cheese. I thought the combination of seemingly fresh meats and oil was perfect. Their bread is always tasty, a bit crunchy on the outside and soft inside. My girlfriend, who is a vegetarian, got the grilled veggie sandwhich. It was a bit messy, but she said it was delicious. Overall, my parents have been coming back to Lee's for 25 years because it's consistently tasty. read more

I've been getting Lee's hoagies since I was a little kid, and this is another fine Lee's location. I love that the space maintains the no-frills atmosphere that I have come to love about Lee's. Just great hoagies and cheesesteaks, and that is all. I stopped into this Lee's earlier in the week to get a hoagie to go to surprise my father-in-law at work. I was in and out in 10 minutes, and delivered a delicious Lee's Special hoagie soon after, much to my father-in-law's delight. All of the tips I've written on other Lee's locations apply here: 1) make sure to get the hot pepper spread, 2) splurge on your caloric intake and go with both mayo and the Lee's special oil; you'll thank me and will have a nice glistening to your skin, Twilight-style, afterwards. I used to be a loyal Lee's Abington customer until something happened/changed over there and the service and quality of food being served had deteriorated to where I wont go back-that being said, my office moved and I have tried several times now the Southampton Lee's and let me tell you- Every time has been FANTASTIC- The rolls, the meats the oil the French fries- All of it amazing! Oh my God. A real Philly hoagie shoppe. Finally! Being from the land of D.C. where nothing is real, especially the politicians' promises, it's nice to be able to enjoy some gen-u-wine-ness when I'm out of town. This was my first hoagie, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was dee-lish-ish and I could have asked for nothing more except maybe a cheerier interior and staff that didn't look like they wanted to kill us city folk after we honked down our food. (Thank God I didn't have my Ravens t-shirt on!) I had roast beef and turkey, hold the cheese. I thought I might regret giving up the opportunity to ingest the delicious-looking Italian deli meats (that were being sliced onto ginormous sandwiches while I ordered) but I stayed "healthy" and didn't regret it one bit. I stuffed every bit of wholesomeness into my gullet, thus negating the beneficial effects by over-feeding but who cares - I was on vacation and the eatin' was GOOD. One word of caution: Order the half. The sandwiches are huge and a whole is about the size of a kindergartener. This place is smack dab in the middle of nowhere, but close to my friend's house where I was staying. I'm not saying make a special trip because there are probably plenty such establishments lining the streets of greater Philly. But, if you are in the area and hungry (or not) it is worthy of a stop in. read more

This place just don't care. Won't make a sandwich the way u like only the way they want. Simple steak not chopped dude chops it and then says I only stretched it. Really nothing great bout this place. Just typical way to overpriced for quality of food you get. $9.21 for just a buffalo chicken wrap that a 9 year old can make way better. Cheesesteaks are just typical, nothing fancy. In the same category as a wawa. Meatball parm, just in the same category as wawa. When working and need lunch I'm not to picky. This place used to be so good, but I don't know what happened over the last year. We just got delivery and half of the order is wrong. We got macaroni salad instead of potato salad, our hoagies have very little meat on them, and they forgot my hot pepper spread - again! Even their oil that used to taste so good tastes like nothing now. It's pretty disappointing considering how good it used to be. You'd think during this closure period, they'd be trying to maintain the customers they have to keep their business open. Not happening here! read more

This place is the absolute worst. I went here on Monday, May 13, 2019. I showed up 10 minutes before they closed and the guy inside told me they were closed. They were already cleaning the grill and all I wanted was a hoagie. Another guy met me outside to tell me that it was six dollar turkey hoagies on Thursdays. I don't like turkey hoagies. Then the guy tried to give me a coupon to come back another day. That's not the way it works. If you're gonna be open till 8 o'clock stay open until 8 o'clock. Rude with ordering. I understand if they were busy and they were in a rush, but i never got from there before as new to the area. The guy on the phone could barely hear me and gave me an attitude when I changed some of the order...not my fault if someone changed their mind, its not like they made it and then the order was changed. Hoagies are a bit pricey but i guess they feel they can do that being down the road from Huntingdon Valley and in Bucks County, dont know! I agree with another yelper that they are glad that wawa is back open. Great hoagies, no attitude and fast service. Not what i was expecting from a well known sandwich shop and from the recommendations. I dont know if i would go back, unless someone specifically says they want a Lees hoagie. I have been going here on and off since it opened in 1975 (I was a kid back then). So I know the place and know what I am talking about. It's now absolutely terrible. The counter help is rude and argumentative. The hoagies are average. It's overpriced - I was there on 8/2/14 and paid $25.73 for one large Italian and 4 sodas. Yearly consistency is the name of the game with Lee's. Good to very good hoagies of any type. Always fresh tasting , love their tuna, turkey and Italian hoagies in particular! Never had a bad one at this establishment. Better than Slacks, WaWa and Primo's in my opinion. Quick service, friendly guys, owner or manager is cool, so never a wait even when busy. Everyone has their favorite for a hoagie fix, but this place is mine because I like their unique hot hoagie spread. It has a vinegary tang that hits the spot for me. Pretty good chicken tenders as well. Look for specials and mailer coupons for the best deals. Would go 5 stars but place has a limited small seating area, on hard bench type seats. They try a little with 1 smaller flat screen and a arcade game but just too tight and small cant work. And parking is cramped as well But for hoagies alone, arguably the King here! read more

Lee's Hoagies is a prescence in the Philadelphia area. This store is located near a major intersection between Bucks and Montgomery counties. Their menu is similar to the other stores in the area. My preferences are the Roast Beef and Cheese or Italian Hoagies. All are made fresh when ordered and recently they have introduced a seeded roll which makes the sandwiches even better. The one shortcoming I have is that they are open until 8 in the evenings which makes it tough for a late dinner. read more

Since I am from out of town, this was my first time here. The staff was very accommodating. They recommended their special oil. When I asked for the ingredients, the reply was that it's secret. The owner did give me a free bottle of "special oil" to take with me. How kind of them. When I got to eat the sub, it was absolutely delicious. Ive been going to this location on and off, for hoagies, the hoagie is pretty good, but nothing special and a little bit on the pricey side, but it is what it is. The big problem I have is with the help, especially the supposed manager, the guy who wears the pajama pants. Most of the times when we order by phone, the order is wrong, they rush you to place your order, but the even bigger problem is the rudeness and attitude. When I walked in today, I got the impression, I was disturbing them. This time I ordered in person, so I could watch the sandwiches being made, so I could make sure they were being made right. When I walked in the guy with the pajama bottoms was working on another order, one of the other employees was sitting at a table, he finally relunctanly got up to help, I ordered 2 hoagies Mr. pj made one the other guy made the other, than they got sidetracked when a customer came in and started talking football, while my sandwiches was sitting in the bag, behind the counter, I had to remind them to give me my sandwiches. But you definitly feel the rude attitude and the smugness of this manager, the heres your sandwich now get out feel that is prevalent at this location. They say they deliver within 3 miles. My house is exactly 3 miles away and they don't deliver here. Big disappointment. read more
