They did not say there was a dreamsicle bar in the middle of the shake and when I put the large straw into the cup I almost choked on the wood ice cream stick!!! The flavor was so artificial and chemical tasting. I had to discard the shake. I do not recommend this restaurant. Maybe this is just the place for some people. Maybe the other flavors are better. I headed over to Arbetter one rainy Sunday afternoon and pulled into this no-frills type place that is located next to the Boys and Girls Club on Dixon Avenue. The service was extremely friendly. Basically, you order at the cash register and serve it to you there at the counter. I opted for two hot dogs, one with chili, onion, and mustard and the other was their pizza dog. I opted to upgrade for their all-beef hot dogs and the total for these two hot dogs were under eight dollars. I asked for the brand of hot dogs, but they were uncertain. They were skinless and not bad. The hot dog with chili, onion, and mustard had a good amount of chili on it and the chili was made in-house and was good. You can tell this wasn't some cheap chili out of a can. The pizza dog was somewhat unique and topped with pepperoni. It was pretty good, though I woukd say that I preferred the hot dog with chili, onion, and mustard. Arbetter has been here for quite a bit of time and it is easy to see why the community has embraced Arbetter. The place is definitely a no-frills type place, but that is part of the charm.
