Michelle does not disappoint! After trying several other estheticians who claim they do extractions but only do surface extractions, I was skeptical about getting a facial done with Michelle. I built up the courage to give her a try and I am so glad I did. Michelle extracted my pores from beneath leaving my skin feeling so refreshed. She did my whole face and not just my nose like other estheticians. It has been over a month since I had a facial done with her and I anticipate going back for more but she did such a great job that my skin is still feeling smooth and my pores are still feeling clean. From first contact through after my treatment, Michelle was great! She responds quickly via texts. After setting an appointment with her, she even followed up with me about an earlier spot that had become available, which I thought was wonderful. The location was very clean, and Michelle wore a face mask, face shield, and gloves, so I felt safe while I was there. She took the time to get to know my concerns and what my skin type was before starting. The extraction part of the facial was a little sore, which she warned me about, but the rest of it was nice and relaxing! Most of the redness from the extractions went away within a day, with all of it gone within a few days. My first impression of Michelle: her warm caring energy welcomed me at the door, when I asked where the restroom is, she explained in perfect detail how to get there and which direction to turn the key to get in. I already knew I liked her because I love attention to detail. A friend gifted me this facial and I didn't really know what to expect. Michele explained everything she was about to do very simply but thoroughly before each step. This put me at ease. When she started to pinch my nose to get the gunk out I thought to myself, "okay, that is fricken sore, why would my friend think I'd like this, when is it going to stop, don't be a little b****, I can handle, oh my goodness." She showed me the gunk after, ewe, but it made sense why she had to squeeze so much. Once that part was finished she continued checking my entire face then rewarded me with an amazing shoulder, face, and ear massage that quickly made me forget about the pinch sesh and made me realize why my friend thought I'd like this experience. After the treatment I looked in the mirror and my face looked perfectly fine. My nose was not red. And my skin looked really healthy and refreshed. Even the next day. Warning: A totally blissed out experience!! Just home from an amazing facial with Michelle, it was long overdue and an early birthday present to myself. So worth it. This comes in handy because of how far in advance your appt usually has to be booked . I received the European facial which lasts about 75 mins. My total came out to $78 with tax and the facial includes steaming, extractions , and a should and hand massage as well as a few different cleansing products. I love that she doesn't talk too much which gives you time to just relax and enjoy your few moments of peace. This is especially important to me having 2 toddlers and a newborn at home lol. Amazing. Michelle loves her job and it shows. She is such a friendly, accommodating and fabulous Esthetician. I have been to many on island spas (Aulani, Hilton, Turtle Bay, etc.) and esthetician clinics......by far, she is the best! Prices are very reasonable. The clinic is located on the 2nd floor of the Aiea Commercial Center building above Sushi Spot. If you are familiar with Roy Sakuma's Ukulele studio, it is located in the same lot but separate building. Can't miss it when driving into the lot to park. Upon entering, you are greeted with a wonderful aroma. It immediately gave us a welcoming feel. There are 4 chairs allowing for people to wait for their appointment time. You are also welcomed to coffee or tea. The restroom is located outside by key access only. My daughter had a facial and I had the European facial. This was my daughter's first facial and she was so comfortable with it, she readily accepted a follow up. My European facial was AMAZING. Michelle asked me if I had any concerns or medical issues that she should know about. I appreciate that. She didn't only have me fill out a form like many other spa establishments do. It's 2018 and Korean skin is in, but where does someone begin to get smooth flawless skin after years of doing all the wrong things? You start with Michelle. I actually tried the microdermabrasion with facial for my first time treatment, and it was magnificent. I was made aware of all of the types of ways I'd be uncomfortable during the trial and it wasn't that bad. I was a little shocked that there was a needle to my face, but I was familiar with the feeling because my mom had done it to me before. It's because I have these white heads under my eyes that just could never be popped unless you made an incision. She continued by extracting my large disgusting black heads on my nose... and poor Michelle I SNEEZED ALL OVER HER HANDS. I felt terrible, but she assured me that it's nothing I could control because of all the nerves in my nostrils. It didn't take much for me to feel comforted because she was very genuine about the process. Thank you again. As the procedure continued she cradled my head like a new born baby and began to sand all my impurities away. This followed with a facial and massage that felt like all my troubles were swept away. I know that one treatment will not make me look like a KPOP star, but it's been a few weeks and I'm very satisfied with the results. I was kind of nervous going in for my first professional facial but Michelle def made me feel very comfortable and explained everything she was doing. I got the European Facial (recommended for first timers to really get the pores clean). The extractions was pretty sore and uncomfortable but it wasn't too bad as I thought it would be. It wasn't pleasant though lol. But she does make it worth it with her bomb massages! Lol. I didn't want her to stop. I recommend her if you're around the area. And the pricing is not too bad! I typically get my facial treatments through my dermatologist, but wanted a more personal treatment experience. I found Michelle on Yelp and super glad I did. She is very patient and informative. I originally scheduled a Microderm, but after going over my skin goals we decided to do the acne facial instead. I have never done the high frequency treatment, but I noticed a difference soon after. She was very accommodating with my structured schedule and we were able to set a date for my First Brazilian Wax Experience. I arrived to my appt a little early so I could give myself enough time to find her business and to find parking as well. Michelle greeted me very warmly which made me feel a little more comfortable. Michelle is a very sweet lady who takes pride in what she does and by no means does she push unnecessary procedures onto you. I originally came in for a micro-dermal facial because of another yelper posting about his amazing experience but she explained to me that it would be unwise to do this procedure considering I wanted to wax my eyebrows. (as long as she stays on Oahu) Her prices are more than reasonable and she does a great job and her consistency is what is most important to me. I know some people that go to nail salons for their waxing for cheaper, but from what I've seen they don't do a very good job and I definitely don't trust them.
