I really hate to do this because I got a fabulous high bikini wax job with Stacie and she really made my experience the best it had ever been. She was fast and sensitive to the pain and used hard wax which I had never used in the many years of bikini waxing. The second time I went in I had Alison who I think is the owner I went in for a Brazilian wax. That was one of the most uncomfortable waxing jobs I had ever gotten. When I asked her about the hard wax she made me feel like I was putting her just asking for it. Also the wax job took forever and it was painful. She looked miserable and it seemed like like she really hates waxing which made me feel more uncomfortable. There was no finesse or tender care. So after that experience I decided that I was done with Brazilians. I ended up going a third time I just wanted the basic bikini just the sides. I was booked with Allison again. Didn't think much of it, how bad could it be. It was BAD. First off I knew the wax wasn't right when it was applied to my skin my fault I should have said something. Then she continual went over and over again in the same spot making my skin more irritated with the muslin. She was in a better mood but once again her customer service skills are lacking. When a customer feels like they are putting the person who is giving the service out and they are rushing you the door it is not customer service at all. As I left my skin felt a little irritated which is normal. The next day the redness and irritation didn't go away. I was burned. The wax left burns marks and also pulled skin off. Question if I should go to urgent care. In my close to 25 years of getting bikini waxes I have NEVER been burned like this. I am full support of small business and owners. I relied on high ratings on yelp to research some of the best establishments in the world. So I felt like I needed to tell my story so someone else doesn't experience what I went through. I went to Alison for my first Brazilian and I was scared to say the least! She was really sweet when I made my appointment with her on the phone and told me to take some asprin 30 minutes before my appointment to help ease the pain and it helped. I was expecting a lot more pain ( especially after watching YouTube videos) but it wasn't nearly as bad as that. Alison talked to me through it and the distraction helped. Of course it's a little awkward if you aren't used to it but she's very professional and quick. I still go to her and am very satisfied with the results. read more

Thank you! -------------------------------- Today I requested to get my underarms done like I have been for the past 3 years at other wax bars (in Seattle). This is the third time at this place and my second time doing underarms here(first time was just "ok" so I thought I would try again). Well that was my mistake. One of my underarms were left sore, bleeding, and very very red--unlike any previous underarm treatment I've ever experienced. The esthetician continued to blame my hair pattern which: 1) was extremely rude and embarrassing and 2) not the reason why this turned out so horrible. *You should not blame your clients on your poor work.* everyone has different hair types and hair growth patterns. Any profesional and experienced esthetician would have been able to do this in half the time and with a fraction of the pain left over. Another visit prior to this I had a poor experience with another procedure, but it was not necessarily the esthetician's technique but how much they consider a "bikini" wax to be for what they charge. I miss the wax bar in Seattle that was more costly, but definitely better quality. I left a small tip because at least they can do lips right but I will not be returning to Wax Bar. read more

I just want to say that I am EXTREMELY happy with my Brazilian wax by Allison. I wanted to wait 4 weeks after my wax to Yelp her so I could really see the results before judging. I used to go to Pink Cheeks (various people would wax me) and they would wax off a HUGE section at one time and it hurt SO bad. Allison used smaller strips and literally it is nearly painless. At Pink Cheeks my hair would grow back in so much after 4 weeks, I looked like I have never waxed before. With Allison I can still wear a bikini at the beach after 4 weeks!
