The label said "medium blonde." I don't understand, because I ended up with dark brown/black brows. It looked like two black caterpillars were crawling over my face. I insisted they correct it and they had to do bleach twice just to get it to a reddish/light brown shade. It wasn't what I wanted but at least it didn't look like caterpillars. I then realized because they had uniformly dyed the brows (why it took forever) my brows looked much thicker and I asked the guy to thread them some more. He started arguing with me and pretending he didn't understand what I was saying. I finally left after an hour and a half and stopped at CVS on the way home to buy tweezers to make them thinner myself. It still looks pretty bad and when I get back to my home city I'm going to see if I can get an emergency appointment with my hair stylist or brow lady to bleach them and thin them some more. The whole time they kept telling me "But it looks good." I don't think looking like you have caterpillars instead of brows looks good by anyone's standards.

I have been a customer of Bliss for many years and preferred it years ago before the ownership changed. Before, I could count on the same person threading my brows and she always did a fabulous job and was kind and friendly. I continued to go here because the lady that was always there after it changed hands was still pretty consistent. But the latest person that threaded my brows took way too much off and after months and months they still have not grown back. They are not even shaped properly either, not at all symmetrical. This was my go-to neighborhood spot but sadly I will not be returning. Instead I need to look for a microblading place to fix the damage they caused.

My brazilian wax with Aylar was quite possibly the worst one I've ever received in my 10 years of getting waxes. She clearly did not know what she was doing. Not only did she miss huge patches of hair, she also waxed in all different directions, did not hold the skin taut while waxing (not doing so stretches the skin causing sagginess, and feels more painful), and double dipped. The service was also incredibly expensive, at nearly $70 in an unrenovated, dirty salon. They charged a great deal extra for the back portion as well (literally one swipe), which I have never been charged before. I felt conned, uncomfortable, and extremely unhappy with the service. I ended up shaving again at home, and ultimately the hair grew back quickly as she had not ripped it out at the follicle, and had only broken it by waxing in the wrong direction. I will never go back, and I highly recommend that others stay away from this place. read more

The space was clean, calm, and inviting, which made the whole visit feel relaxing. Homophobia in 2017 NOT COOL! The front-desk afternoon female yesterday and another female employee at LaCienega location are most definitely homophobic, pushy and totally unfriendly. Mostly homophobic, and in a totally gay neighborhood. NOT COOL!! I will continue to go there however because the staff member there that I deal with on a regular basis is wonderful, her name is Aylar. Aylar is totally professional and friendly. I absolutely love this place!!! Super friendly environment. I go every two weeks to get my eyebrows done with Zara she is the definition of AMAZING !!!! A few months ago I was in desperate need of getting my eyebrows done so I went to a very known eyebrow place not happy with their work and I ended up with a patch on my right eyebrow :( I let them grow out for about a month and luckily met ZARA and my eyebrows today look amazing full, perfect length, and perfect arch. take it from an eyebrow obsessed person, that this place is good. the lady who did my brows was thorough, and made sure I was pleased with the shape and how much she took off. they have a bunch of locations too! my only complaint is that $12 seems a bit much for brows (not including the tip you give)...$7 or $8 would be more reasonable. some of the eyebrow threaders are better than others. they should open a spot on the east side. read more
