UPDATE: I did return and tell them I didn't care for the nails and they did reshape them and paint them a solid gel color. Still not sure it is worth the amount paid, but the reshape and paint helped. I've been coming here for years, I've gotten tons of really great sets here. But when I went today I was honestly shocked that I walked away paying $159 BEFORE tip for this... I got the seasonal pedicure with gel, and delux manicure with dip. This is probably the worst I've ever gotten at this here. I came here for my nails for my wedding and only go here. But this was just not worth 160$ before even tipping. It wasn't an intricate design... it was a French tip... the pricing just seems excessive. The pricing definitely doesn't match the outcome. read more

Went in for pedi for my daughter and myself , I wanted acrylic toes, and had a inspo pic ready . I asked them to give me someone who can do this . They said okay,once I met the lady doing my nails I asked her if she can do them she yes and ensured me she could. I left with a French tip but way shorter nails that what I wanted and had . , and the pedi for my daughter was literally only 20 mins long and I paid for a higher quality pedi for her. I went in for a nail appointment in December 2024, and was recommended Gel X by the nail tech. I agreed, having never tried them before. Unfortunately, that decision turned into a painful experience I won't forget. The tech used nails that were too small for my natural nail beds, and as they hardened, my fingers began to swell and my real nails started lifting. I waited four days, hoping it would settle, but things only got worse. I ultimately had to have them professionally removed as an emergency, as they were literally pulling my natural nails off the nail bed. This level of pain and damage is unacceptable, especially for a service that should feel pampering, not traumatic. My only positive note is that the salon itself was very clean and well-kept, which makes this experience even more disappointing. To no surprise of my review, I won't be returning. read more

The first two times I went to Onyx I had a decent experience for the price. However, after the last two times I've went I will not be returning. To me, it seems like they are in such a rush to get as many people in and out of there as possible. When I went two weeks ago to get my old set taken off and replaced, the lady was in such a rush trimming my cuticles that she cut me twice. She also burned me with the drill several times. When I went yesterday, the lady cut me with the drill and also burned me several times. They need to slow down. I just came for full set around 3 days ago and walked away spending $82, the price isn't the problem it's just the price I paid for what I received. They are supposed to be coffin with cat eye and they're really bulky and square and look like they need to be filled even though I got them a few days ago. And they kinda just look dimensional glitter than cat eye. They also have scratches on them as well. The vibe and employees are super sweet. I just came here to get spider man nails not too long ago and they were literally perfect so I'm shocked that this is what I ended up walking away with. I was cut 2 times deeply by the nail filer. Obvi I bled. Items were not clean and Tech was very aggressive and said she "forgot" she cut me the first time. She didn't want to clean the cut right away, was arguing that she wanted to finish my nails first, so I had to PULL my hands away and tell her "no NOW" to get her to remove the supplies off of me so I could clean my hands myself. ridiculous that she wanted to ignore this. She left paint all over my hands and wanted to charge extra for drawing a French tip on me. Front desk service is very rude and demanding. Will tell you to pick a different service without explaining why. I had to ask over and over why I couldn't get the service I wanted. These people seem overworked or jaded. They provide great customer service and make sure you feel taken care of: They have a proper bar wish signature cocktails if you want to try something different, and the owner is incredibly sweet! omg the prices are insane for what I got. I got a gel pedicure & it was $50. the lady who did my nails didn't do what I asked. She cut my toe nail too short & now my nail is bad. I have come here many times close to 15-20 times. I was never disappointed in anything. The massage lengths were always good. I always felt well taken care of. This past time I went was shockingly different. My pedicure was nice. But my manicure was a joke. The lady was very rude and pulled my arm around a lot and always was controlling me and my chair in an aggressive way. I got a French tip with a manicure. I never received the manicure. I never got a massage or anything. She just did my nails and that's it. I still paid for it but I was very very disappointed in my manicurist for being rude and basically robing me! Also I got a sparkling water from the bar and it was flat. That's my review. I hope they fix this before they lose more loyal clients! read more

Wonderful pedicure service and incredible manicure! I asked for French on both so they hand painted my toes and made them perfect. The actual pedicure was incredible. I did the milk honey pedicure and while they scrubbed my feet another person worked on my hands. It was a full scale service and I had both done after an hour. The absolute best nail salon I've ever been to. I've suffered a stroke which left me disabled. I still wanted to get a pedicure regardless of me being unable to walk without the use of a device. I was so nervous when I entered. However from the time I walked in I was warmly greeted and they took extra good care of me and my disability needs. I moved to the area a year ago and have been going to onyx ever since. my most recent set was the worst I've ever had. I had 3 separate nails break within a week. This caused me to go in 3 separate times to get these fixed and the lady who fixed my nails did not fix them up to par. They were thick and not buffed out enough to where they were flat. You could visibly see bumps in the nail. After the 3rd nail broke i went to the salon to ask for a replacement set or a discount on a new set since it has only been a week since i got them done. All that was offered was 10% discount. (This discount should of been more with how much of an inconvenience this was going 3 times in one week). However, Onyx has a reward system for their clients and being an regular client i have racked up a $10 off. I figured i would use the 10% discount and and my $10 off. When i completed my nails i was informed i could not use the 10% off plus my $10 reward that i EARNED from previous visits and was recommend to wait to use my $10 off on my next visit.. Frustrated, feel like I paid 100.00 for someone to take advantage of me. I went to Onyx for a pedicure. I asked the woman doing the pedicure if there was an esthetician available. She said yes. She said she was licensed for waxing. I decided to have my entire face waxed. I had a lot of fine hairs on my face that was very noticeable in the sun. 45.00 for full face wax, 37.00 for pedicure. 82.00 without tip which was 18.00 so, 100.00 bucks. The wax job was atrocious. When I got home, I grabbed my mirror and stood by the window. It looks as if my left side was not touched. Large patches of hair all over my face! I am so disappointed. This was my last straw when I came in for a simple set and I was so UNPLEASED with my nails. I came back in after paying and told them I was unhappy with my set and would like them to be fixed.
