Way Station coffee gives you such an at home feel as soon as you walk in the door. It's primarily naturally lit with very soft lighting throughout and an old cabin feel. You are greeted when you walk in the door from the register as well as by the smells of coffee and food being prepared. There's a cooler full of bottle beverages, a pastry case with the daily offerings, a book shelf and plenty of seating. I ended up order the seasonal maple spiced latte with almond milk and grabbing 2 of the canned sodas which were strawberry habanero soda and dry-hopped ginger ale. There was a bit of a wait for the latte as they get very busy with coffee orders on a Saturday morning, but once I tried it the coffee was definitely worth the wait. I would ask for more flavoring next time as there was just a hint of maple spice. read more

I love Waystation! My husband and I love coming here on the weekend for a morning coffee date. The coffee is consistently good & very fresh. We've tried a bunch of their coffees & it's all good. I've been living in Richmond Hill since 2019. Whenever I can, I try to make a stop here for an Americano. There's something different about the espresso here. The flavor of the Three Tree Coffee comes out like you wouldn't believe. No other local places bring out the flavor like this place. Highly recommend the espresso. Additionally, the staff has been beyond polite and friendly. They always look busy but they will do what they can to bring you what you ordered in shop, remember your name, or put a nice sticker on your coffee for you. There's always some old folk around who go here just for atmosphere. That's how you know this is a good place. Bring your friends. read more

I got the pumpkin spiced lattes with oat milk (decafe espresso) and my husband got the Bhakti Chia tea. Both were pretty good, but nothing noteworthy. I was here with my friend that lives in Savannah and I was visiting and it was such a cute place!! I LOVE the fact that a train is actually close to the coffee shop because of the name!! I brought my kids here to do some schoolwork. The inside isn't terribly big - maybe a dozen tables with one big long table that could be shared. They also have an outdoor seating area that is shaded. The ambiance is friendly and bright and it has some local artwork on the walls for sale. The prices are pretty good, and I was glad they had a kid-sized drink option (my youngest can't drink 12oz of even the most delicious drink ). The staff are absolutely delightful, and I would come back just for the friendly service. I will admit I'm a bit of a coffee snob and would prefer a stronger coffee flavour, but I think for most people it would be just fine. Their iced chai tea lattes are top tier, the best I've ever had. I loved that you can order ahead, I would stop by at 6am and get my order on my drive into downtown Savannah several times a week. My little one and I had some time to kill before her appointment, so we decided to stop at Way Station for a quick bite and for some coffee for this tired momma. We had been here once before for Way Station's 5th year anniversary celebration and Big Bon Pizza had a pop-up for the occasion. Honestly, at the time, we had come to check out Big Bon's pop-up and it was so busy at the event that I didn't pay much attention to Way Station itself. I had heard great things since we moved to the area and I knew we had to come back to check it out properly. Service - We were greeted as soon as we walked in. This is definitely the neighborhood coffee shop. I wasn't ready to order just yet, so I let the man behind me go ahead and the lady behind the counter greeted him by name. What we ate/drank - They use Perc Coffee which is a brand I have been seeing at local restaurants and I am no coffee aficionado, but I loved the taste of it. I drink coffee for the flavor, not the individual taste, nor for its effects, but I don't like it strong which usually taste bitter. I ordered a Latte, with half the amount of espresso and it was EXACTLY the way I like it! Mostly milk, little coffee. So good! I also ordered one of the jumbo chocolate muffins to share with my little one, but I would like to see more of things they actually make at the shop or brought in from another local bakery. The muffin was the ones you see at Sam's or Costco which is consistent and fine, but nothing to write home about. Vibe - The whole establishment is in a Richmond Hill-esque white homes (if you go down Ford Ave, the businesses are in homes that are characteristic of the homes Ford built around RH, white body, black roof). The interior is separated into various rooms, all decorated with a rustic farmhouse industrial chic that has a nice homey feel. The back is like a sunroom and the front is in an L-shape with a fireplace with is mismatched furniture that all blends together quite nicely. They had it decorated for the holidays with lights and a wreath on the signage outside as well as a wreath that included Elf on the Shelf which was a cute touch. Kid-Friendly - Definitely kid friendly. Right by the counter where you pick up your coffee, there is a nook with a bookshelf with various toys, books and games to keep little ones entertained. They also have a high chair. Thankful for quaint businesses like these in Richmond Hill to stop in for some good coffee. I will have to come back to try some of the other food items and a great place to meet up with friends. read more

The staff personnel were nice, courteous and prompt. Parking can get a little crowded so go early and park on the south side. I ordered a caprese sandwich and iced latte for pickup. Sandwich was delicious, made on a fluffy ciabatta bread. Iced latte was not my favorite. Not sure what the issue was. When I got there, the six parking spots were full. I circled the block and saw there was parking in the back with picnic seating too. They had my order ready for pick up and had no problems.
