Food was freshly made, and the staff was friendly. Ambiance wasn't bad for a burger joint but the restrooms needed to be cleaned. Overly priced but a once in awhile burger treat is good

Idk what she ordered, but she enjoyed it.

Good quality food, service, cleanliness. Everything is made to order of course, so your order is going to be fresh and hot. The fries remind me of the 90s Wendy's fries which were my favorite back in the day. Crispy enough on the outside, light and soft inside, and the perfect size and cut. Lightly salted. The chili cheese dog was on point. The split dog itself is a pretty generous size, good seasoning/flavor, & had the right texture to it; not too soft, not too chewy. It might actually be a sausage link; I didn't ask, so I'm not sure. I recommend ordering it with raw onions and add your own mustard. I like the dog more than the burger actually. The burger was solid. I got a double bacon with pepperjack, grilled onions, and jalapeños. Everything felt fresh. I think the burger could be better if the patties were a bit more crisp (cooked a bit longer or on higher heat for a harder sear and crust) and butter the buns before toasting them (they might already but maybe not enough butter to notice). The milkshake was the perfect consistency. Not so thick to where you can't drink it through a straw, and not too loose to where it's not a shake. The inside was clean, and the staff was friendly. You can order at a kiosk, or at the register. I used the kiosk, only because It's the first thing you see upon entry, so I thought I had to. The kiosk is missing some items though (unless I just couldn't find them), and the card reader was a little stubborn when trying to tap to pay. I could only find milkshakes as part of a kids meal on the kiosk so I ordered one separately at the register. Also, I was going to order cheese fries, but the kiosk only showed bacon cheese fries as an option. Nice spot and not too far of a drive for me. I recommend trying.

I'm kind of at a 3 / 3.5 for this place. The fact that it's halal makes it interesting, but does that really translate to taste? The classic burger was so so. There wasn't anything special about it. There was no wowing or booing aftermath when I tasted the burger. It's just an average burger imo. The ingredients were simple (pickles, lettuce, onion, cheese). There wasn't any special sauce but just ketchup and mustard. The fries were bland. There was only a light sprinkle of salt. As for the texture, it was okay with not being soggy nor crispy. Honestly this place is a solid 3 star experience for me. I do enjoy a simple burger at times, but this burger felt really lackluster with no pazazz in taste.

I have ate here several times since living in the area. This time was the best I've had. One thing I can say is their pickup is always easy and timely. We got the build your own burgers with pretty much everything on it Cajun tater tots and bacon cheese fries. If you're planning on sitting in the restaurant it is very casual think of an elevated fast food place. You order your food at the counter and pick it up. Worth a try if you're close by and want a burger that's not from a drive thru.

Social distancing and masks are required. There are many items to choose from while you're here on the menu. :-) On 6/5 I was a door, or two, to T-Mobile, so while my son was upgrading his phone, I decided to grab a burger. I was hungry, so I got a single with cheese, and added fries and a drink. The food was really delicious. I didn't eat all of my burger, or fries, but I drank all of my peach drink. My son and husband ate some of mine and they liked it as well. My son had a Oreo shake and he really enjoyed that as well. I'm sure next time they will grab some food from here too. They didn't eat here because they had wings, and fries from another restaurant. We will be back soon. :-)

Swiss mushroom (build your own double burger)
    Gretchen S.

This was another first tonight for my fiance and I through Uber Eats. We ordered the Double Bacon Cheeseburger, O'fries, Swiss mushroom (build your own burger), and an Oreo Mud Pie shake to wash it all down. It was a pretty affordable meal, and overall, I really enjoyed it. Both burgers were very juicy and the shake was awesome. I would get the custom Swiss mushroom burger and shake again for sure. My fiance compared his bacon burger to that of a Denny's burger, which is definitely not a bad thing - Denny's makes some pretty great burgers. I think what he was getting at was that it still doesn't top Five Guys or BurgerFi for him on his list. Honestly, for the price we paid tonight though - about $6-8 for a juicy double scratch patty burger, you can't go wrong. I think next time though I would try the Wayback sauce on the burger though, just to see what that's all about. Like someone else on here noted, a good signature sauce would kick things up a notch. So I'm trying to see if that's what I missed tonight. The mac and cheese bites sound good too for a future visit... My only complaint was that the fries and onion rings were a bit greasy for my taste. At about $3, the portion was reasonable. However, they were not salted or seasoned, just kind of greasy and a little soggy. I wouldn't get them again. Big praise to the crew for not forgetting my ranch though, unlike McDonald's and Checkers! So, thank you for that. For the value and for juicy burgers, good Oreo Mud Pie shake, and a try of those mac n cheese bites, I would order from them again.

    DOUBLE BACON BURGER

Came here at 9 pm I ordered double bacon burger with chili cheese fries and a brownie shake. The burger patty was like school meat and the bacon on it was very hard and not consumable. The shake didn't look like the picture it was literally just white shake and small tiny bits of brownie or whatever. She didn't add any syrup like the picture. I ate everything cause I was hungry. All the employees were Indian and didn't speak any English . Definitely not worth $20 I should've went to the McDonald's down the street.

I just came here for lunch today, my second visit, and was so disappointed. I ordered the Impossible Melt (with added veggies and Chipotle mayo) and regular tator tots. My order was almost $13! I confirmed my order before paying. Upon receiving my order I asked for ketchup. I was informed that it was in the bag. I left to go back to work and finally had the chance to check over everything. I was charged for a "Craft Ur Own" Impossible burger which may have accounted for the higher price, not sure. Also, my burger had no sauce or condiments, was just dry. Also, there was no ketchup in the bag so dry tator tots too. In summary, I'm out of not only $13, but also the meal I came for. I hope if I decide to return, the staff will actually listen and pay attention. But if I do... it'll be awhile.

I'm so glad embry hills is getting more yummy restaurants! Wayback Burgers is a chain burger restaurant located right between Moe's and T-Mobile. It's the same ordering style as Moes or Your Pie; slide down the line against the wall and order at the counter. Food: The burger and fries were delish! I loved that we can customize our burgers with plenty of free toppings. The fries were super crunchy and tasty. They also have some new hipster natural sugar sodas at their soda fountain! We tried this cherry one and it was so good.

    Cheesesteak ($7.99 + $2.99 for double meat)
    Kyungeun P.

*This review is for an online delivery order* I know the name of the restaurant has "burgers" in it, but the first time I ordered from here, it was a cheesesteak and a chili dog. We were impressed and ordered again a few weeks later -- the same items and also a cheeseburger. [FOOD] Cheesesteak -- $7.99 (+$2.99 for double meat) I wasn't expecting much from a burger place, there are already a few decent cheesesteak spots around atlanta. And while Wayback's isn't the best, not even top 5, it's still good. For $11, the sandwich is stuffed with extra meat and fixings (I only asked for mushrooms). It's definitely a good sized portion for the price. The only downside for me was that the meat is seasoned with some sort of herby spice (reminiscent of Halal Guys spiced meat). So it doesn't have a traditional Philly cheesesteak taste FYI. Hot dog + chili -- $3.79 + $1.00 This hot dog was so smoky and snuggled in a soft, buttery bun. There are so many ways to customize your hot dog, most of which are free -- onions, pickles, mushrooms, veggies. Cheeses are $0.60, and there are meat options too (we went with chili for $1.00 extra) Tater tots -- $2.99 Every time we've ordered tots as a delivered item, it's remained crispy! It's just a regular side portion for this price, nothing epic, but still really satisfying. Craft your own single burger -- $4.99 (+$0.60 cheese+$1.29 bacon) The first time we ordered delivery, we didn't include a cheeseburger. But from here on out, we will always order burgers whenever we order from Wayback. Again, it's not the best burger joint in town, but it's still very good. And for the price, it's a great deal. It tastes fresh and made to order. The patty wasn't too thin but perfectly crisp around the edges (not overcooked!). Unfortunately, the bacon cheeseburger was devoured before a picture was taken.. [SERVICE] Since both "visits" were actually delivery orders, can't speak to the ambience or the actual in-person service. The items are always neatly packed to avoid spillage. Food is always fresh and hot when delivered, even the tots stayed crispy each time. [OVERALL] I would highly recommend Wayback for quick American cheap eats. Definitely order their burgers and fried items if you visit/order delivery.

    Double Bacon Burger
    Haley T.

I was craving a good burger and decided to give this place a try, and so glad I did! I placed an order online; i got the double bacon cheeseburger with no onions or pickles, and bbq sauce added to it. I placed the order around 2:05 and drove over there and it was already prepared for me when I got there. The burger was a good size, very juicy, and delicious. I think the added bbq sauce made it a little messy but other than that I really enjoyed it, and would still order it the same way again. I got fries with my order as well and they don't give you as many fries, as say, a Five Guys would, and the fries really aren't all that special, so if I went back I might skip out on the fries, but the burger itself was definitely reason enough to go back, which I guess at a burger joint, as long as the burgers are great then that's what really matters! Their covid measures seem to be pretty good as well, the employees I saw were wearing masks/gloves, and the divider between you and the cashier was a lot larger than at most places so probably more effective as well! Definitely a good place to try if your looking for a great burger, highly recommend.

I opted to order at the bar so I could enjoy a beer and where it is full service - otherwise it is ordering at the register when you walk in. Service at the bar was friendly, efficient and attentive. I ended up with a double beef burger (each patty is 1/4 pound) at $9, pimento cheese (.75 cents) and Grindhouse Sauce which was in the 1000 island / Mac sauce territory. I was undecided on a side so lucky for me there is a "Frings" option of 1/2 onion rings and fries ($5.75). The burger was a little on the dry side even with the toppings but the potato roll made it a little more interesting. The onion rings were great and can't go wrong with crinkle cut fries. Cold Tropicalia on draft ($8) served by friendly bar staff made it a really great experience. Even though this is not my favorite burger, the sides, the drink options and the overall vibe of the place with excellent service still will make this a place I could visit again. Maybe giving a different burger a try instead of a BYO like I did the first time out.

And the standards for this type of business concept are normally belooow the basement. But I figured we'd stop in while running errands in the area and grab something to munch on. I saw that they fry with tallow and I'm always on the hunt for some beef fat fried goodness. Now it's a rarity to spend less than $10 on a good burger these days in ATL, and even more of a rarity to feel that said burger was worth your coins. I side-eyed their $6 single but figured I'd give it a shot. Man, NFA proves that a burger doesn't have to be "gourmet" to still be damn good. The sauces, mustard, juices from the beef, slight sweetness from the potato roll, the crunch of the pickle... it all combines into something simplistic in nature yet magical. I usually expect this level of good (and inexpensive) in South GA but they brought that small town flair to the suburbs of Dunwoody. I hate crinkle fries normally but the decision to fry them in tallow makes me a believer. Simple, classic menu. No frills. Hot and fast. Great customer service, too. Just wait in your car and an amicable young adult (of which they seem to largely employ) will bring your order out to your car or to their picnic tables in the back. $17 for two to eat... in this day and age?!?! Holeman and Finch is known for its burger, and deservedly so, but I can't stress enough how good the other food and drink are here. Looking at the current list of Atlanta restaurants in the Michelin Guide, I think Holeman and Finch deserves to be included. I wonder why they got snubbed. Holeman and Finch relocated to Colony Square in Midtown in February 2023. The restaurant validates parking in the Colony Square garage for two hours. We stayed just over two hours and ended up paying $6. I like to enter and exit the garage via Peachtree St NE. There's also an entrance/exit on 14th St NE, next to The Starling hotel. We used to go to the original location in Brookwood/South Buckhead circa 2010 when only 24 burgers were made per night and released at 10pm. Holeman and Finch existed in that location from 2008 to 2020. It was quite the Yelp hot spot: https://www.yelp.com/biz/holeman-and-finch-atlanta-2 This new location at Colony Square is way more spacious and looks great. There's indoor and outdoor (covered and uncovered) seating. The atmosphere is that of a modern, upscale pub. It's nice. Reservations can be booked on OpenTable, so get those dining points. Our server said the brunch menu was served until 4pm. Here's what my wife and I had: Drinks: * H&F Bloody Mary ($14) * Iced Tea - half sweet, half unsweet ($5) Graze: * Naturally Served Oysters ($5 each) - cocktail sauce, mignonette, buttered saltines, horseradish - Lowcountry Cups - Charleston, SC - Dukes of Topsail - Topsail Sound, NC - Dixon Point - New Brunswick, Canada * Deviled Egg Trio ($9) - classic, country ham, and Pickapeppa mayo * Hand Chopped Sirloin Steak Tartare ($20) - capers, horseradish, egg yolk, chips * Simple Lettuces ($15) - citrus vinaigrette, crisp shallots, fromage blanc, pecans Sandwiches: * H+F Cheeseburger ($28) - certified Angus and Hereford beef, onions, Kraft, fries Plates: * Housemade Scottish Gravlax ($18) - toasted brioche, fried Pantelleria capers, lemon dill clabber * Holeman + Finch Vegetable Plate ($32) - "all that is best from our Southern farms" Dessert: * Sticky Toffee Pudding ($14) - vanilla ice cream Everything, down to the sweet tea, was fantastic. The Bloody Mary was strong and so delicious that I gulped it down. All of the dishes were beautifully plated and finished. The oysters were fresh, superb quality, and cleanly shucked. They forgot the crackers, but that's okay. I highly recommend the deviled eggs. They were perhaps the best we've ever had anywhere. If you're unfamiliar with Pickapeppa, it's a sweet and savory Jamaican brown sauce that is used to make the mayo for this dish. There was nothing "simple" about the Simple Lettuces salad. It was pretty much a perfect, tasty, and refreshing salad. As for the H+F Cheeseburger, it's a classic and continues to be one of the best burgers around. Every bite is just so good, and the ketchup and mustard remain distinct. If you've never had the burger before, get it here or at H&F Burger at Ponce City Market. The Truist Park version isn't the same and I've never tried the Mercedes-Benz Stadium version (the old Turner Field version was legit, though). If you like gravlax, wow - the gravlax here is amazing and really well made. The Vegetable Plate was terrific as well. It featured potatoes, okra, beans, succotash, mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and more with a fried onion ring on top. It's a great dish to share. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was top-notch - exceptional texture and flavor, and perfectly paired with a scoop of dense vanilla ice cream. Our server was Jonathan R. He was friendly and took great care of us. A manager checked on us too.

The burger was an 8.75/10, and the fries were an easy 10/10. It came with what tasted like homemade…read moreketchup and mustard on the side, and both were fantastic. I usually drench everything in sauce, but this meal honestly didn't need it. I also ordered a sweet tea nothing fancy, just a classic sweet tea that hit the spot. My waitress was lovely, and I really enjoyed spending a relaxing afternoon here. My only complaint is the price. While the food was good, I'm not sure the meal was worth the $28 price tag. Other than that, I had a great experience and would definitely consider coming back.
