Our experience at this restaurant was overall very enjoyable. The only minor issue we encountered was that the lady taking our order seemed a little impatient while we were deciding what to order. We only spent about five minutes or less looking through the menu, but it felt as though she wasn't too appreciative of us taking our time. However, this did not significantly impact our experience. There were also a few mix-ups with our names. My name is Vu, but it was pronounced as "V.U.," and my friend's name, Alen, was called "Aden." These were small mistakes and certainly not something that affected our overall impression of the restaurant. On the positive side, the food came out surprisingly fast, which we really appreciated. I ordered the A1 Steakhouse Burger, and it tasted even better than I expected. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned with just the right amount of salt. Although the burger was noticeably smaller than what was shown in the promotional picture, the flavor definitely made up for it. I even added a little ketchup, which enhanced the taste even more. Despite the few minor imperfections in service, they do not affect my rating of this restaurant. Honestly, I want my money back. My friend sent me a promo for National Burger Day, and I thought it was BOGO on any burger. That's also what I was told over the phone. The reality? It was only for their "classic" burgers--which I didn't find out until I showed up. The place already had a 90 health score, which made me hesitant. Seeing a visible, overflowing trash can under the sink to the right of the kitchen didn't exactly inspire confidence either. On the positive side, the woman at the counter was friendly. She asked for my name so they could call it when my order was ready. After 15 minutes (for just two burgers, in a not-busy restaurant), I finally had to ask about my food. The cook seemed confused, asked my name again, then looked around before finally finding my order. They never actually called my name, even though that's how the process was explained. The food itself was the biggest disappointment: I paid extra for bacon, but it wasn't added. The burger patty was pink, even though I asked for well done. The lettuce looked ancient, like it had been sitting out overnight. The burger was bland with no flavor whatsoever. The only redeeming quality was the mustard bourbon sauce, which paired decently with the paper-thin slice of pepper jack cheese (on my burger), though my fiancée's burger had the cheese completely forgotten. At the heart of every guy, there are four foods we know at our core--pizza, fries, chicken nuggets, and burgers. And this burger? Easily one of the most basic, uninspired ones I've ever had. The one thing I might go back for is the milkshakes--a few flavors caught my eye. But outside of that, I don't plan to return anytime soon. Even at the promo price, I left disappointed. I've been here a few times and the only reason I go is really because they are relatively close and they have a app that has deals occasionally. The classic burger is fine. I prefer the thicker burgers over smash burgers. I think I like Shake Shack a little more just because the burgers are more unique and it's slightly juicier. The mushrooms were free so that's nice. The chicken sandwich was crunchy but smashed too thin. It was comparable to the chicken sandwich at Wingstop but less meaty. I had the tater tots with it that had the same exact texture and flavor from my work cafeteria. It's probably the same vendor. The fries remind me of the 90s Wendy's fries which were my favorite back in the day. Crispy enough on the outside, light and soft inside, and the perfect size and cut. Lightly salted. The chili cheese dog was on point. The split dog itself is a pretty generous size, good seasoning/flavor, & had the right texture to it; not too soft, not too chewy. It might actually be a sausage link; I didn't ask, so I'm not sure. I recommend ordering it with raw onions and add your own mustard. I like the dog more than the burger actually. The burger was solid. I got a double bacon with pepperjack, grilled onions, and jalapeños. Everything felt fresh. I think the burger could be better if the patties were a bit more crisp (cooked a bit longer or on higher heat for a harder sear and crust) and butter the buns before toasting them (they might already but maybe not enough butter to notice). The milkshake was the perfect consistency. Not so thick to where you can't drink it through a straw, and not too loose to where it's not a shake. The inside was clean, and the staff was friendly. You can order at a kiosk, or at the register. I used the kiosk, only because It's the first thing you see upon entry, so I thought I had to. The kiosk is missing some items though (unless I just couldn't find them), and the card reader was a little stubborn when trying to tap to pay. I could only find milkshakes as part of a kids meal on the kiosk so I ordered one separately at the register. I'm kind of at a 3 / 3.5 for this place. The fact that it's halal makes it interesting, but does that really translate to taste? The classic burger was so so. There wasn't anything special about it. There was no wowing or booing aftermath when I tasted the burger. It's just an average burger imo. The ingredients were simple (pickles, lettuce, onion, cheese). There wasn't any special sauce but just ketchup and mustard. The fries were bland. There was only a light sprinkle of salt. As for the texture, it was okay with not being soggy nor crispy. I have ate here several times since living in the area. This time was the best I've had. One thing I can say is their pickup is always easy and timely. We got the build your own burgers with pretty much everything on it Cajun tater tots and bacon cheese fries. If you're planning on sitting in the restaurant it is very casual think of an elevated fast food place. You order your food at the counter and pick it up. There are many items to choose from while you're here on the menu. :-) On 6/5 I was a door, or two, to T-Mobile, so while my son was upgrading his phone, I decided to grab a burger. I was hungry, so I got a single with cheese, and added fries and a drink. The food was really delicious. I didn't eat all of my burger, or fries, but I drank all of my peach drink. My son and husband ate some of mine and they liked it as well. My son had a Oreo shake and he really enjoyed that as well. I'm sure next time they will grab some food from here too. Great value! I don't get why other people are complaining about the price, how much does a quarter pounder meal cost you at McNalgas these days? You wouldn't pay like $2 more for a real burger and fries? I got the classic (which had exactly what I would have asked for on a cheeseburger) and tots and will definitely be back. This was another first tonight for my fiance and I through Uber Eats. We ordered the Double Bacon Cheeseburger, O'fries, Swiss mushroom (build your own burger), and an Oreo Mud Pie shake to wash it all down. It was a pretty affordable meal, and overall, I really enjoyed it. Both burgers were very juicy and the shake was awesome. I would get the custom Swiss mushroom burger and shake again for sure. My fiance compared his bacon burger to that of a Denny's burger, which is definitely not a bad thing - Denny's makes some pretty great burgers. I think what he was getting at was that it still doesn't top Five Guys or BurgerFi for him on his list. Honestly, for the price we paid tonight though - about $6-8 for a juicy double scratch patty burger, you can't go wrong. I think next time though I would try the Wayback sauce on the burger though, just to see what that's all about. Like someone else on here noted, a good signature sauce would kick things up a notch. Came here at 9 pm I ordered double bacon burger with chili cheese fries and a brownie shake. The burger patty was like school meat and the bacon on it was very hard and not consumable. [FOOD] Cheesesteak -- $7.99 (+$2.99 for double meat) I wasn't expecting much from a burger place, there are already a few decent cheesesteak spots around atlanta. And while Wayback's isn't the best, not even top 5, it's still good. For $11, the sandwich is stuffed with extra meat and fixings (I only asked for mushrooms). It's definitely a good sized portion for the price. The only downside for me was that the meat is seasoned with some sort of herby spice (reminiscent of Halal Guys spiced meat). So it doesn't have a traditional Philly cheesesteak taste FYI. Hot dog + chili -- $3.79 + $1.00 This hot dog was so smoky and snuggled in a soft, buttery bun. There are so many ways to customize your hot dog, most of which are free -- onions, pickles, mushrooms, veggies. I was craving a good burger and decided to give this place a try, and so glad I did! I placed an order online; i got the double bacon cheeseburger with no onions or pickles, and bbq sauce added to it. I placed the order around 2:05 and drove over there and it was already prepared for me when I got there. The burger was a good size, very juicy, and delicious. I think the added bbq sauce made it a little messy but other than that I really enjoyed it, and would still order it the same way again. I got fries with my order as well and they don't give you as many fries, as say, a Five Guys would, and the fries really aren't all that special, so if I went back I might skip out on the fries, but the burger itself was definitely reason enough to go back, which I guess at a burger joint, as long as the burgers are great then that's what really matters! Their covid measures seem to be pretty good as well, the employees I saw were wearing masks/gloves, and the divider between you and the cashier was a lot larger than at most places so probably more effective as well! Thank goodness) Ambience: the store looks good when you walk in, but is a little cramped. However, when you get close to the kitchen you will see the cleaning standards are poor. While I was waiting I noticed a baby roach near my foot and I killed it. Having worked food service I know you'll find a roach every now and then, no big deal. But when I looked into the kitchen I saw food on the floor of the prep area and three more roaches walking around. Then I saw a dead one on the counter of the soda machine, and then one on the floor as I walked out. Since they were babies, this is likely an infestation. Not ideal Service: the girl working the counter seemed nice, but my milkshake wasn't made when I first arrived and by the time she made the milkshake it was already 20 mins past pick up time. So my tater tots were room temperature and my burger slightly warm. Food: The burger was decent, but only slightly warm since it sat there for 20 minutes. The seasoning on the tots was good, but they were not hot and a little overdone. The 20 minute shake gets its own line. She was cleaning the mixer before she spun my shake. She gave me my shake with it only filling 3/4 of the cup and that's not the worst part. The rag must have been dirty or something is spoiled in this shake. It tastes somehow like grease (how? I opened Yelp and ordered my food from Wayback burgers. I go in to pick it up after about 30 minutes and they told me that they don't have my order and they don't use Yelp and GrubHub to order food to be picked up. They recommended that I use their app. So fyi.. don't order through Yelp. Your order will not be received at Wayback burgers. But the cheese steak that I did finally get, was pretty good! This was kinda breath taking considering the comparable 5 guys and village burger are almost 10$ cheaper. The root beer is yummy. Cheese burger and fish sandwich were 3/5. I am a believer in yelp and this is the first time it has failed me. Please, go somewhere else. This is no better than McDonald's. The service was quick but the food was uninspired, bland and made me feel bad. I got the crispy chicken sandwich, the chicken wasn't seasoned nor crispy, the onions were diced and sparse McDonald's style and it really just didn't taste even remotely fresh. The chips were meh.
