I went to the Wayback Burgers for the first time yesterday and was absolutely in love with their Classic burger. I got mine with Cajun remoulade, Chipotle mayo, pepper jack cheese. The burger was so juicy and delicious. The service was good. They took their time making this burger. Shows me that they care about the customer and their order and not just push out burgers all fast and sloppy. The ambiance was cool they had music playing low and had sports on on their TVs. I had the cheesy burger - 2 patties, with American, onion, pickles, ketchup and mustard. My bf had the same with just Swiss, pickles and ketchup. We left off the lettuce and tomatoes. I can only write about the Little Ferry Wayback. I cannot vouch for any other Wayback! These burgers are, without a doubt, the most insanely delicious ones I've ever had. So heard about it and tried it, well it sucked seriously sucked! So took 22 mins to get two burgers, fries and tater tots and a mint chocolate chip shake! So burgers were dry and Luke warm, cheese not melted, bun was old and stale crumbled in hand. Tater tots were the best part of meal, regular fries soggy and just ok. There's wayback burger truck located at 57 St Lexington ave in Midtown NY. Since they don't have combo menu I ordered french fries and onion rings at $3.99 and $7.99 each. Portion of onion rings and fried were ridiculous. Only four rings for $7.99!!! I couldn't believe I paid $8 dollars for FOUR onion rings! The fries were still frozen not fried well. Also they charged for service fee when I paid by credit cards. I got two classic burgers, one fries and one onion rings for $35.10! No worth it! I definitely don't recommend spend that much on the food truck for the fast food! Rather go to the McDonalds for better quality. read more

5 stars for food, 5 stars for the fantastic service and 5 stars for the affordable prices. It's a 5 star burger shop. They have basically everything that are 'american' food, burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, hot dogs, fish sandwich, salad, nachos, fries and shakes. There's the create your own burger too. I got the western burger and asked them to put lettuce with less sauce. I bite into it and was surprised it wasn't salty at all and I could actually enjoy the burger patty. It was so good and tasted like homemade. They grill the pattys as soon as they get the orders so it's not really a fast food restaurant. Burgers aren't too big and they are franchise burger shop sizes. Its not huge in size but BIG in taste. It made me eat it so slowwww to make the flavor explosion last with each bite. My first time here because they had a BOGO offer on Facebook for the "cheeeesy burger" this weekend. I paid $7.99 with tax for two awesome burgers. Today Sunday 1/17 was the last day for the Facebook offer but I noticed that with a Yelp check-in you could unlock a BOGO offer too. I would pay $7.99 for just one it's worth it. Used the app at 7:55 pm to order dinner. I check first on the app what the store hours were. It said closing time was 9:00 pm. Figured that'll be enough time to place my order. When the order was placed and my credit card charged it said the order would be ready at 11:45 am the next day. Looked in the app for a cancel button. No cancel button! Tried calling the number given in the app but no one answered. Drove to the place and found it closed. A sign indicated temporary hours with a closing time of 7:30 pm. Why are the hours in the app incorrect? Why does the app take my order when the restaurant is closed? Why is there bo cancel button in the app? Why is there no one who can cancel the order? I was looking forward to dinner! I don't need the burger for lunch tomorrow! Now I need to take time out of my workday at 11:00 am (opening time) to cancel my order in person! What a welcomed addition to the neighborhood! Here's what we had: "Very Veggie Burger" - comes with lettuce, cucumbers, sweet peppers, tomato, and honey mustard. He said the bacon was "perfect". He's not easily wowed by burgers, but his eyebrows shot up after his first bite and he did that head-nod thing that a satisfied man does. Right on. JWB is a very welcomed addition to the neighborhood indeed. My Wife and i ventured in to JWB last week. We read some of the Yelp reviews prior and felt we should give it a whirl. I ordered a double w/ bacon and cheese let, tom & mayo. My Wife a single w/ cheese and we ordered chili cheese fries to share and 2 sodas. The bill was about $21.00 which was fair. As we were filling our cups w/ soda at the fountain, i turned and glanced at the grill only to see fresh chopped meat being taken out and put on the grill.......WHAT? Freshly made food still exists??? Who knew? In any event, about 10 min later our food was served,everything was tasty and enjoyable, no complaints there, atmosphere and service as well, no complaints. If I have any complaint, it's a mild one, it was later in the day on Sunday, it was slow, we were the only customers, after we were served, all the workers (3 I believe) congregated around one of the tables and were talking loud and being a bit on the immature side. If I was there w/ my 10 yr old i would've requested they quiet down a bit. I really wasn't overly bothered by it but it was a bit inappropriate and they should have known better. I'm torn. The flavors are great but I've never been a fan of a la carte burgers. A burger should also come with fries on the side. It's as basic as red, white, and blue. But I get what they're trying to do. It's just that it's one of those "if it ain't broke" situations. Ordered a single patty with cheese and a side of tots. I was kind of surprised that the patty was so thin. It makes sense as to why upgrading to a double patty isn't that costly. If you're hungry I suggest ordering a double patty. The tots were slightly under cooked. It's done by timer so maybe the fryer had a few more orders than normal in it. Decent amount of seating and parking if you're looking to dine in. Do order ahead via their app so you're not stuck waiting 10+ minutes for your food. If anything that was my biggest gripe. Everything is made to order, I can appreciate that, but they move a step too slow. I get it. They're probably a little light in terms of sales so they're really watching the cooktop. But the patties are super thin so cooking one of those bad boys to well done should take 5 minutes max on a 350 degree flat top. Major Points- - Food was okay, but they gave us the wrong order. - It's fast food so the shop isn't anything special. - no trash bin? - a poor experience I wanted to give this place a shot to see if it's worth going to in replacement to some other fast food restaurants (Wendy's, McDonald's, or Burger King). I assumed that maybe they're out of the bacon cheese topping so they gave us nuggets as replacements. Nuggets didn't really have flavor, though. Burger was average and was hot and cold (Patties were hot, the toppings were cold). It's a small little shop; nothing much to call out here. They didn't offer a trash bin though, even though we're dining in... it was there, but they put a bin over it. I moved the bin in order to throw out the trash (only bin available) and one of the staff shouted out at us for moving the bin. Who shouts at their customers for wanting to throw out their trash? Conclusion: I won't be going back when there's a Wendy's a block or two away. 2 stars since I didn't get sick from the food. read more

These are the best fast food burgers I've ever had, period. I just wish there were more of these around.

My boyfriend and I have come here a couple times now and I must say I am impressed. He gets the double bacon burger and I get the rodeo burger. Both are very good! You can tell the burgers are fresh and the onion rings and french fries are always crispy & tasty. The Oreo milkshake is also another one of my favorites. I usually don't ever have a milkshake with my burger (which everyone thinks I'm crazy for) but this time I tried it and it was AWESOME. Service is good, quick & efficient. Place is clean. Staff is friendly. There is a parking lot for customers who are going into Wayback and always spots available. If you have not tried this place already, I highly recommend it. Came here tonight for a quick bite. I didn't want anything too heavy since I'd just worked out & it was a bit late. I ordered the turkey club, minus the bacon (yes, I'm trying to be good) well sort of I also ordered the house-made chips. Love,love,love thin sliced warm chips! They were soooo good. The turkey burger was good as well, not greasy & very light, I didn't have that overly "full" feeling which was good. I know you all were expecting a juicy beef burger review but that wasn't happening tonight. I'll be honest: I'm NOT a burger person. I actually don't really eat red meat very often. (My BF and I actually think we made his night when we actually thanked him at the end of our meal because he was very nice and polite to us and he actually came to the table, by my side and offered me to pick from all of their salad dressing selections! I thought that was thoughtful and "out-of-your-way" customer service.) So now onto the food - my burger was DELICIOUS! It was yummy and fresh - you could see the pile of fresh chopped meat by the grill, in the back. These burgers are NOT FROZEN and that was pretty dope, in my book. The fries are also bangin' but I am so biased because I just LOVE ALL FRIES! They are my weakness, although I try not to have them too often because well, YIKES on the pounds! Anyways, I also got a side salad, which was also FRESH and very, very yummy, with tomatoes, actual GREEN lettuce, onion and cucumbers. On another occasion, I tried the turkey burger (on a health kick and give that I don't eat much red meat, I love my lean protein!) I'm a FAN! I've tried all the newer burger places (Five Guys, Smashburger, BUCU, etc) and this is my favorite burger joint. Ever since Fuddrucker's in Paramus closed (the Wayne location is still worth a visit every once in a while), I've been looking for a good burger place. (A quick side note, I'm not a fan of White Manna so please don't rave to me about it. I'd rather go to White Castle than White Manna). Every burger is made fresh on the spot. I don't mind waiting for it. The beef is high quality and not too fatty. The fries are seasoned well too. The Jake's Cheeseburger has two patties fyi. Only slight knock on the place is that the cashiers are pretty young and really don't seem to care about anything in the world. I totally don't expect these places to have people super happy to be there but they sometimes generally look super bummed out, I'm not sure if the manager is being really mean to them or if they're just going through their own issues. Also, I wish that this place was open a little later. 9pm closing time is way too early. The TV also shouldn't be on news all the time. It really doesn't go with the 50s music that's playing. Maybe put a movie on or sports or something less depressing than the news please. I'd even be fine if they had the movie Pleasantville playing on a loop. Oh and the shakes are pretty great. Definitely try the orange creme.
