Went here today. It was very busy DoorDash orders, online orders and in-store traffic. However the staff wasn't operating in the way a staff with a rush should act. The grillman was lackadaisical in his approach to almost well anything, the kiosk not working, his sandwich guy not helping him prepare the food. I was hesitant to visit Wayback Burgers due to the negative reviews but I did for dinner on a Friday night. It was pretty steady and there was a line to order so things were looking up. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Above the register is a large menu (with prices clearly visible) including pictures of their items. They have signature items but if there is not something you like, you can create your own sandwich with an abundant array of meat, cheese, toppings, and sauces. Then menu also states the calorie amount for the items which can be depressing. I ordered the classic signature burger and I crafted my own cheeseburger. I also ordered a regular-sized bacon cheese fries. The burgers were cooked to perfection and my order was not incorrect. I do wish there was more cheese on my cheese fries but it was not the end of the world. We would have shared an Oreo Mud Pie milkshake but it had nearly 1,000 calories so that deterred the decision. I did notice that the restaurant does not have Coke or Pepsi products; instead they feature Stubborn Soda. It is draft soda with different flavors combinations. Some of the patrons were complaining but it was something different. I expected a longer than usual wait because there were so many people in the restaurant but it was less than 20 minutes. The food was good but I like Big Orange or Burger 21 more than Wayback Burgers. They have larger portions and different options than what you would regularly see. I had been hearing about this place on the radio for some time. I'm glad I gave it a try. I had the classic double and it was amazing. I have several burger places that I like and this on made my top 5 after my first visit. They have a side that has fries and onion rings so it's like a two for one. They have a burger with remoulade and bacon that looked amazing. I used a side of the remoulade to dip my tater tots in. Very tasty. They place was pretty busy and it was a small dining room, the only down side to me and that is why I gave 4 stars. The food deserves the 5 stars. I really want to give them 3.5 stars. Wayback burgers is way out there on Chenal. it is a little out of the way for me but i had a quality dinning experience while I was there. The food came out quick and hot. I got the big cheesey burger, which consists of meat, cheese, cheese, and Bread. the burger is very cheesey. The meat lacked seasoning but it was a solid burger. I also got the mixed fries with onion rings. Onion rings were top notch. and I also got a drink from the soda fountain. Overall its a good burger place. I actually for the most part enjoyed my meal. I have actually had Wayback twice. The first time we ordered through bite squad and thought it was a decent burger. We came in the restaurant this time. Let me start and say the staff are very friendly, that goes a long way with me. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. It was fresh and Hot. I do think the burgers need more seasoning. They were good but a little bland. They have different types of soda in their machine. I tried it but I prefer coke. We got a chocolate mint shake and it was delicious, would totally recommend that. I had the fries and my sister had the house made chips. Both were very good. I had a great experience at the Wayback. My son and husband ordered the classic and both cleaned their plates. They were able to cut their burgers in half with the fork they used for their chili cheese fries. Moist delicious burger they said. Chili cheese fires were yummy as well. I had the veggie burger. Now let me start by saying I'm not typically a veggie burger eater and was seriously skeptical however I've been watching my weight lately and the burger trip was a splurge so I decided to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised.
