We have been going there for over 5 years. The food at this location is consistently delicious. I love their Half and Half patty. This patty is 1/2 angus and 1/2 vegetable patty. The patty is ground well that you cannot tell it is also veggie. It is delicious. Their fries are crisp and you can tell they were just fried and not sitting around waiting for an order. Stopped into The Big Orange and I've got to give credit where it's due; the bartender was incredibly friendly and gave the kind of hospitality that actually makes you want to sit and stay awhile. Service-wise, they were on point. Now for the food... whew. The turkey burger was easily one of the worst I've ever had, absolutely no seasoning, no flavor, just dry disappointment wearing a bun. The truffle fries were the bright spot of the night, crispy and actually tasty. But the southern fried chicken sandwich? Same story as the turkey burger. Bland, flat, desperate for even a pinch of seasoning to wake it up. If The Big Orange took the same pride in seasoning their food as they do in training their bartenders, this place would be a hit. When busy, I would suggest the outdoor seating area because it will get loud inside. Service 3.75 Stars Our server was pleasant and professional. Food: over 3.25 stars - all items are a la carte 1. 4 Stars - Umami bomb a mixed Half (veggies) & Half (Beef) Patty, Havarti Cheese, White American Cheese, Sautéed Mushrooms, Caramelized Onion, Thyme, Arugula, Butter Leaf Lettuce, and Garlic Mayo. This is must order item. The half n half patty was juicy and very flavorful. The melted cheese was a big compliment to the patty and the onions were slightly sweet. Great combination! 2. 2.75 stars Price- The waffle sweet potato fries w mango curry ketchup. This was not a hit due to the limp fries and the curry seasoning. It seems they gave us leftover fries from the basket. And the curry in the mango ketchup was a bit overpowering for the taste buds. 3. 2.75 Stars - Farmer's Burger* Havarti Cheese, Over Easy Farm Egg, Petit Jean Bacon, Butter Leaf Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, and Garlic Mayo. Nothing special about the burger. The burger supposed to be medium - med well but the burger was well done. If you prefer a burger with neutral flavors, this would be burger for you. I prefer my burger to have a little bit more flavor so I added the curry mango ketchup to it. It tasted much better. 4. 3.25 Stars Truffle Garlic Herb fries. These were hot, fresh and crunchy. There was slight hint truffle oil but not overwhelming. I prefer these over the sweet potato fries Price: 2.75 stars - each menu item is a la' carte and the burgers prices are more expensive than other places. We spent $45 for two burgers and specialty fries, not including the one beer which was the least expensive thing our ticket. It used to come with multiple full chicken tenders and now it's down to one single chicken tender chopped up into small bites. Alright I'm going to start with the good. The best fries I have ever had in my life were at a small resort in Fiji on its own island called Qamea. Big Orange has the closet fries to those! Absolutely phenomenal fries (I'm referencing the truffle ones with the garlic aioli)! Also, the service was great, they were fast despite being a little busy for a Wednesday evening, and they even helped me out with letting me borrow a phone charger. Now for the not great: I've been in Little Rock for 2 weeks now, and being that it is known as Burgertown USA, I've been trying my fair share of top rated burgers. Here I went with The Original and just wasn't impressed. I'd give it a 6/10. It lacked flavor and definitely didn't top my list of burgers in Little Rock. Same for the atmosphere. It seemed a little more mainstream than some of the other, more intimate places on the top rated list. Overall, great spot for fries and some drinks. This place was so worth the stop. My family had their burgers and said they were amazing! I had the grilled turkey Thai salad with their house made dressing. The flavors were so good and worked well together. They had a bar there, too, with an array of cocktails and beers. Our waiter was amazing and took good care of us. We were sure about getting the milkshake, but our waiter suggested that we could split it. My family split a chocolate and strawberry milkshake. The chocolate was the best one IMO. We stopped here on our way to Gatlinburg TN and I'm sure glad we did! Every part of the burgers I tried were amazing! The buns themselves are so good and light. Patties are full of flavor no matter which one you get and the toppings are house made it locally made for sure. I love all the different combos of flavor you can get here. Took my boy out for his Birthday Burger while we were in town for a convention. The ambiance was so fun! The lighting and bar set up definitely gives off hip vibes. Came here with my dad, we're both big burger connoisseurs and specifically burgers are really all he eats. I was excited to try this restaurant because as much as I love a simple cheeseburger every now and then I loveee to try different combinations. The service was pretty standard and to the point. I ordered the white truffle and pecorino burger and my dad ordered the Arkansas bacon and cheddar. We both thought our burgers were really good giving them about an 8. The fries were good as well and a necessary pairing. I also ordered the Lavendar haze cocktail and loved that they have a tasting option of their frozen house cocktail for $5 both were pretty solid. To finish off the meal my dad and I decided to try the milkshakes we got the vanilla and the coffee caramel. I can honestly say after having ice cream all week at multiple dairy bars and burger stands all over Arkansas, the milkshakes fell very flat for us and just really did not taste of any quality. My husband (50), myself (49), and our adult daughter (25) entered this restaurant around 8:30 p.m. for a nightcap. The bar was open and actively serving alcohol. The place was honestly quite empty as it was a Tuesday night past 8 pm. Upon arrival, the bartender was inattentive, engaged in conversation with another couple who had elementary-aged children seated at the bar. There was an abundance of seating elsewhere in the restaurant outside of the bar area for children. (honestly our children were in bed on a school night in elementary school on at 8:30 pm). After waiting to be acknowledged, my husband attempted to order a drink. The bartender refused service, stating that my husband had "sworn at the bar in front of children." No warning was given, and no attempt was made to redirect or address the situation professionally. Instead, service was simply denied. We found it unreasonable that the presence of young children seated at a bar late in the evening dictated service to adult patrons in an establishment that serves alcohol. If the restaurant has expectations regarding language or intends to limit adult behavior due to minors being present, that policy should be clearly stated and enforced consistently, not applied selectively after the fact. The situation was handled poorly and left us feeling unwelcome. We left immediately. Unfortunately, this experience reflects a lack of professionalism and poor judgment by staff, and we will not be returning. If you have kids that like to stay up late and hang out at a bar, this is the place for you. However if you are adults seeking a place to unwind after 8:30 pm, you will not be welcome unless you have recently washed your mouth out with soup. read more

This is a go to spot for us when we are traveling through Little Rock. There is a shared parking lot in the plaza. We were seated quickly and even when they are busy the service is good and the food doesn't take long to appear. I love that they offer local Gluten Free Buns from Dempsey's Bakery and that there are vegan milkshakes. As someone with a dairy allergy, It is a rare find to enjoy a milkshake with coconut whip cream with my burger. There are several flavors to choose from. I tend to get the Plain Jane. I love the truffle fries and have tried all the different patty options, my favorite being the 1/2 and 1/2. My husband is a huge fan of the black bean and turkey options. 5 star shakes! I got the cookies and cream milkshake and it is fantastic!! (Similar to a Jack in the box Oreo shake but tastes so much better and not like fake dairy). The very next night I made my family return just for some shakes to-go. I went with family and we were able to be accommodated in the patio area which is very nice even when it is cold out. We got a mix of burgers and salads and they are were all pretty great. I had a fried chicken sandwich and while the first half was pretty great (I loved the sauce and the flavor), about halfway through the chicken seemed pretty soggy/oily and unappealing. It is difficult to keep a sandwich such as this crunchy but I wish I had gotten a little further through the burger. This seemed like a bit of a frying issue. My husband got the half beef half vegetable burger patty and loved it! If you like mushrooms, this is a great option for you! The fries are pretty tasty and the salads were well rounded too! Needed a quality burger after work today and found this place. I like how this burger joint is a local Arkansas restaurant. I tried the truffle burger and it was delicious! I requested it to be cooked to medium rare. I couldn't really taste the truffle in the burger because the jam was stronger. The buns were dry, but the sauces helped make them taste better. I also had a side of house fries that my waiter said were homemade. Those weren't bad either. Overall, I recommend this place if you are looking for a diverse menu with quality burgers (or shakes, but I haven't tried the shakes yet) read more

The strawberry shake was very good too. Not over-the-top sweet like a lot of shakes. Order your shake after you get your food if you want it for desert or, they will bring it right to you if you want it for an appetizer. We split the fries and it was enough for three. You can choose your patty here, angus, half and half (angus & veggie), turkey and veggie. The Umami Bomb comes half & half and I thought it was good. Over all - good food and a lively atmosphere.
