I was happily greeted by JOSH at the FG Chennal in LR,AR. He took our order with patience and kindness as we hadn't been there in a while. I continued to watch his customer service to everyone. Pretty much our favorite hamburger in Little Rock. It's always cooked perfectly and they wrap it up in a piece of foil so it reminds me of those little mom and pop hamburger stands from when I was a kid. And the fries... so good and they give you PLENTY. The service has always been good. We were walking out a few weeks ago and the guy on the grill stopped us asking if he could look at my boyfriend's burger. He couldn't remember putting the extra patty on it. He checked it and he had, but I thought it was nice of the guy to check. Prices are fair, quality of food is excellent and the service is great. read more

I came in 9:15 PM after work. The sign said 10 pm and the OPEN signs were on and well lit! The burger cooked asked me "you got a pick-up order?" I said No Sir! He turned around and ignored me. Not one person acknowledged I was in the building for at least 5 minutes and I was the only customer standing at the register. Today they sent out 3 tables leaving me confused without lunch so I went to see what's happening the manager said you're next so I stood so I could see a lady open my burger 5 times she had to be new she was arranging my burger. The manager apologized and walked away. I had already watched lady wasn't eating it so l called the manager asked him to touch it it was cold so he made me another. This was my first trip to a Five Guys restaurant. My friends and I stopped there on the way to Dallas, TX. I had some presumptions about the franchise upon entering the building. I wasn't expecting a 5-Star restaurant atmosphere but it was a little less than what I had assumed. The color scheme of the interior was very bland, consisting of mostly neutral tones (primarily white). It seemed dull and lifeless. I know the atmosphere is only a portion of what you are paying for when trying a restaurant. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger. I received my food relatively quickly, only waiting 5-7 minutes. It was given to me In an aluminum foil and a plain brown paper bag. This could have been due to the southern influences on the restaurants of Arkansas. The burger was on a sesame seed bun, which I can respect. The burgers were cooked reasonably with a thick layer of cheese draped over the patty. The bacon is cooked a bit more than my liking but that is mostly based upon personal preference. I would give the burger itself a 4/5. I also ordered a small fry and they tasted very fresh. The cuts were reasonably big. The others in my party considered them to be a bit saltier than their liking. I payed $14-15 for my meal, including a regular size drink. I feel that was a bit high for the atmosphere and food quality, not awfully expensive but a little more than I expected. It is definitely a restaurant that you'll want to try at least once but I can't say I'd go too far out of my way to eat it again. read more

I put in an online order today and picked up around 1:10pm. Only knocking them to 4 stars because my order wasn't ready when I got there 10 minutes after ordering. Other than the order being a little behind I received great customer service. They let me know they were working on everything when I first got there and only had to wait 5 minutes or so for them to complete my order. I love five guys 99% of the time, this time was the once in a blue moon visit that fell short. The cashier was very friendly, professional yet personable. The service was surprisingly fast. The burger was great. The one item they brag on the most fell surprisingly short. The French fry's were greasy as heck. I looked around at other patrons orders of fries, they were all the same as mine. So I got to share that not so great experience with everyone but we made the best of it. Employees seem very inattentive to anything that walks in the door. They pack everything to go. I asked for water, wife for a Coke Zero. They gave us one cup, she rather than turn into Oliver Twist we shuffled off to share. As a reward I got to stand at the counter and wait like it was Wendy's. But at times the price; that's twice the price of David's, too. While I waited for the exact same burgers that I could make in 15 minutes at home for $7, a customer asked for ketchup packets for her to-go order. "We don't have those." Now I carry my brown bag to the table like a second grader reading signs proclaiming "Voted favorite quick lunch 2009" and "Reader's Choice award winner '09, '10, '11, '12". Five Guys have one of the best burgers in town. Everything I ordered were homemade even the fries. Nothing frozen, or Sysco Style burgers you get at McDonalds. They cooked the patty to perfection which take longer to serve but it so worth it. I just wish they have combo meals for a better value as it is pricey to pay $5.99 plus tax for a burger alone. I used to love 5 Guys here in Little Rock but, the quality of their food is quickly falling off. This seems typical of restaurants who want to keep prices down while their food costs rise. Just raise the prices and keep the quality! 5 Guys Little Rock seems to be cutting back on the thickness of their burger patties. A single patty burger is so squished now that you have cheese coming through the patty, instead of from around the patty. Their fries are brown but, thats due to not changing oil out on a regular basis. Old oil has the characteristic of making fries brown but, in reality they're under cooked soggy fries. What happens as oil wears out is, instead of cooking the fries properly, it coats them with the brown residue from the oil, leaving the rest of the fry under cooked and limp. Essentially boiling the fries... Other local burger joints which have good kitchen staff, and who keep an eye on things, change the oil based on use, not on calendar days/dates. Changing oil based on days usage is a bad practice. We'll keep revisiting David's Burgers for the foreseeable future or cooking better burgers at home. read more

For some reason I'm really tired of them in my quest for my favorite burger in town. Five Guys burgers are among the best in the area. Then when we opened the burgers we realized they had also screwed up our order there as well. Topping it off was a gritty milkshake, since they didn't bother to mix it properly. I absolutely love this place! This is the go-to spot for a mouth-watering, soul-lifting burger. This place allows you to pick practically anything you want on your burger for no additional charge. All of their ingredients are obviously fresh, which makes it even more delicious. I gave this place a four star rating due to their milkshakes. I have tried their Oreo milkshakes on several different occasions, and every single time the Oreo crumbles taste stale and old. With that said, avoid their milkshakes. They only seem to disappoint. In terms of service, they do pretty well. They have always been respectful and welcoming to my family and I. We will definitely go here again for burgers. read more
