The store changed their name to Eden Fresh Market. I made a request to update the information with Yelp. Google has already made the change. I decided to pay this store a visit because I haven't been in it since it was renovated and changed names. The looks are pleasing. Interesting color scheme. Black and Red. The store has everything you need for the most part. The only problem is the expense. Everything in here is a dollar or two more than other stores. I feel like this store is strictly for the neighborhood people and the convenience. Years ago you could find a lot of cheap items in this store when it was Way field but I get it. They now have specialty items and a better selection of some foods. They have a salad bar, hot food bar and a sandwich making station. I purchased and 8 piece smoke chicken and some bread pudding. The chicken was seasoned, tender and juicy. I paired it with a nice salad. The bread pudding was like home. Not overly sweet and the perfect consistency. I wished I had bought another one. One other thing. Everybody in there speaks to you. They have a full staff and they are very friendly. That's what matters most these days. I will be sure to visit again. read more

I see that the name change gave Wayfield the reason that they needed to spike the prices even higher than they already were. When the oxtails and other meat go on sale the meat is not quality. It seems as if they are trying to get rid of poor quality meat, There is so much fat on the meat that it is not worth the money they are asking. I can say that the fresh squeezed orange juice is very good. The service from that racist manager Ann is ridiculous. Not sure if she is still employed there but she ensured that the most professional and kindest person Lamott was transferred to another store. Everyone loved Lamott because he ensured that as a customer you were satisfied and well taken care of as a customer. If an item on the shelf was mispriced , Ann would not honor the price because it was an error. When an item is mis-priced on the shelf, then it is not the customers fault and should be given to the customer at the price that is marked. There is an alternative school that is up the street from the store which brought in younger black males in the morning hours. Ann would always make distasteful comments about them and asked you to watch them closely when they shopped. She made snide comments saying, why do they wear their pants like that? When the white kids from the academy shopped their, she was all smiles and never one negative comment. Customers would wait in my line for check out because I was a real peoples person and always made them laugh, when the other lines were much shorter. Ann stated to me that I talked too much. WTF. I gave the customers an experience when they shopped, and if they did not mind waiting then why was it a concern. She hired none black high school kids with no experience at a rate higher than she did experienced older black women. I do and did understand her train of thought. Ann definitely gave people of color less respect, especially if they were using food stamps as their payment source. She would make unprofessional comments about what they were purchasing and the amount of food stamps they had in their possession. Was this not monthly revenue for the business ? I wonder if she has made a positive change ? Probably not. I will not shop there as long as she remains employed there. read more

It's now called Eden Fresh. I pass it all the time and decided to go in today to grab some produce. Their produce is really expensive so I didn't end up getting any. I went to the seafood section to check out the prices there and those prices were good. A sale price of $8.99 per pound for salmon and $9.99 for tuna so those were well priced. I end up with just salmon filets and a Gatorade after going through the store. The people working there were nice and attentive. The store was clean. Plenty of parking. read more

It's Eden's fresh market now. Make sure y'all look at the sales book and get on their coupons list. It's pricey but they have good coupons sometimes. It's clean, a boutique grocery store. You can find what you need. I go shopping here 2x a month because it's the only grocery store in the area. Staff is young so bare with them. The manager will help you out though. I love love love this Wayfield! These are the things I love about it- 1. Easy parking, litter-free parking lot that's never too crowded 2. Friendly cashiers almost always smile and greet you when you walk in 3. Smaller grocery store is easy to navigate and reminds me of the small grocery stores I went to growing up as a child in the country 4. Decent wine selection and they carry my favorite Trapiche Malbec 5. Never too busy so lines are short 6. Soooo much better than that terrible Kroger on Cleveland Ave that's always dirty, understaffed and overcrowded 7. A great place to get the basics- quick and easy to get in and out I'd do ALL my shopping here if I could but their selection is limited so when I need certain things like a nice chevre or the almond milk iced coffee I like I have to go to the Kroger from hell. Wayfield has been slowly incorporating in more choices lately though- more organic and local foods- hopefully this is a trend that will continue! read more

Worst grocery store in town. Horrible selection. Produce is old. Grocery store needs updating bad. Out of 4 carts, none of the wheels worked properly. They have more junk food than healthy food. No one to help you with your groceries. Very unprofessional staff. They bag your groceries horribly. No one to help you in the store. I have no idea how this grocery store is still in business. This store is taking advantage of it customers during the pandemic and Holiday season. A delicatessen known to the African American community and prepared during the Holiday season is being price inflated more than 40% compared to major grocery chains stores. Wayfield is charging $25 for a 5lb bag of Aunt Bessie Chitterlings (pig intestines) a huge markup and high way robbery! Wayfield College Park is far from perfect but, I love the fact that its locally owned and operated. I also appreciate that there were actual changes made to the stores selection of certain items following the town hall meeting regarding how they might better serve our community. My experiences as a customer there have been very positive. I find the selection of produce more limited than the closest Publix but, the quality is usually better. I hope that the renderings for the parking lot renovation actually come to pass. read more

Yes, Wayfield's has made some improvements in the store, but the fact is that it when they first announced that they would be making changes in the fall of 2009, it took more than two years before any of those changes were made. Many of the aisles are mis-labeled, with the bottled water actually on a different aisle from where the sign says it is. While the cashiers are quick to greet customers when you arrive in the store, good luck trying to find someone to assist you in the store, which makes it obvious that Wayfield employees are apparently required to speak to customers no more than they have to. I've noticed that the refrigerated sections appears to be dirty and rusty on more than a few occasions, and the store has an extremely limited natural food/organic selection. If products laden with high fructose corn syrup and other preservatives is what you're after, you'll find it right here. As the only supermarket located in the Tri-Cities area, the store does not even have a full Customer Service department and as such doesn't offer any type of Western Union/Moneygram services, and don't have a reason as to why they don't offer this service, so if you need to get a quick money order, you are out of luck. Perhaps the only bright spot is that there's an off-duty College Park Police Officer on patrol inside the store most of the time. I've lived in the neighborhood for nearly a decade and I've discovered that Wayfield has no incentive to become the first-class supermarket that the community deserves, as it has no direct competition and many poor and transportation-challenged customers (the vast majority of its customer base) depend solely on Wayfield's. That's exactly why their prices are not competitive with either Kroger or Publix. The store apparently figures that if you can pay to go elsewhere, you will, and they seem to be content with that. There's some of feel that Wayfield's is OK just to grab a few quick items, but I'd still prefer to go elsewhere even when I need something right away. Last note: There's a sign posted in behind the counter up front threatening immediate termination for any employee that changes the station that is listened to in the store. #facepalm read more

The incredibly friendly staff at this store makes up for it's limited selection, and if there is something they don't have that you buy regularly just let them know & they will stock it for you! It reminds me of the "baby" Publix where I shopped in Milton; in that things are easy to find & the employees are very helpful. They have a good wine selection & the produce & meat selections are surprisingly good!! read more

**Update to my original review from 2010** Since my earlier grocery shopping days and first review of Wayfield, they have made many noted improvements to the store, inside and out. The parking lot has been repaved to remove the giant potholes, and is kept cleaner now. It's amazing what a nice parking lot does for a store. The selection of many departments has been expanded, including produce, deli, alcohol, and some healthier choices for miscellaneous products. Now, instead of trudging down to Wayfield dreading the experience, I can go routinely without a flinch. They still don't have a pharmacy or a restroom, but it seems that their improvements are not complete either. While I don't yet rely on them for all of my groceries, I can rely on them for more than in the past. Even the cashiers have gotten more outspoken and friendly: everyone that walks in to the store is greeted with "Welcome to Wayfield," sometimes to a comical degree in which every cashier will repeat the greeting one after the next. read more

I love Wayfield on main st in historic college park, ga. Ano the store manager and Mike the meat manager are awesome. And oh how I love my produce man Shawn. This is a great team. Mrs. Monica is a good one, she lays low and works so hard. And never misses a chance to make everyone feel good. Bridgette in the bakery knows what her customer wants and she makes sure it's there. with this pandemic going on Wayfield has been there every step of the way helping out our community. This store is VERY clean and they know their friends of the store. (Customer). The grocery selections are outstanding. They are definitely very friendly here! Everyone is pleasant throughout your entire visit, and can sense whether or not you want to small talk while you check out. The selection is horrible though. I definitely would not buy any meat or seafood from here. I only come for a quick can of tomatoes or something like that. The fruits and vegetables always look old. This grocer sucks. They used to be great for their meat selection, but on the day I went it smelled rancid and the meat was picked over. I went for pita bread, but they didn't have it so I had to drive across town to Kroger to get what I needed. Bleh. read more

Im new too the neighborhood Ga the one on Columbus Dr not only do I fine the store clean but very friendly because when you walk in they say "Welcome to Wayfield"!!! and its great way to start your shopping!!! Ive found everything I needed at the time granted they dont have every thing but I would and will shop there again!!! Everyone is always so helpful and try's there best to help you !!! I can only guess why they aren't rated higher but I have to say, I had a wonderful experience. I'm visiting Atlanta and caught a cold. I found he employees friendly and helpful.
